Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

"Don't be so quick to go and write your own death warrant but we don't stand by and let someone die just beacuse we were near them, if we didn't help you, it'll make us regret not coming to your aid and you could of died." Dean just said to him, placing his guns back.

 

"... I suppose I should thank you." Daichi said getting to his feet and putting his blades away.
"But... I didn't ask for your help." He clenched a fist. "I need to get stronger... you helping me there just showed me how weak I still am."

 

"But..." idus started to say as Dean knew what this Ronso was thinking and he punched him the jaw and sent him to the ground. "If there's anything I hate, it's people who are too arrogant to accept help! Sure, everyone is weak alone but when we combine our strengths, people grow stronger without realising it, even if you refuse other's aid, it's only natural to help out someone in need be it a stranger or someone you know!"

Wakka was surprised at Dean's reaction as Dean continued. "I've forgotten my memories and who I really was but while I was on besaid, Yuna's words actually encourged me to live through it and find out who i really am, the thought of what i was before could be good or bad but I know I can depend on Yuna's help if I ever need it!" Dean shouted over the thunder.

 

Daichi was up immediately and punched Dean the same way sending him to the floor. "Don't lecture me! What gives you the right?! You don't even know me! You have no idea what I've been through!" he yelled back. "It's nothing to do with arrogance! I have a goal! And in order to achieve it... I need to become stronger! Much stronger! How can you lecture me when you don't even understand that?!" Daichi roared as memories of pain filled his eyes with anger and determination.

 

"Please stop!" Yuna ran in front of Dean and held out her arms. "Daichi....... please........ Don't do this........ This..... This isn't what my father would have wanted! He told me everything about when he met you! Join me and we can reach the goals we have set in our lives!"

 

Auron looked at Daichi as he was knocked down. He recalled that he had met this half Ronso during his pilgrimage and said nothing

 

Daichi calmed himself... seeing the look in Yuna's eyes, he felt his anger just diminish instantly.
"I'm sorry. he said looking down to the ground.
"To both you Yuna, and your Guardian."
"No... to each of your Guardians... I... I behaved like an animal." He said resentfully. Avoiding Kimahri's eyes.

 

Dean felt the punch and crashed to the ground and he had to smirk. "See right there? You aren't as weak as you think." Dean said.

 

Yuna smiled and wrapped her arms around him gently, hugging him. "It's alright."

 

Daichi just stood there as Yuna embraced him, not knowing how to react.
He noticed Rikku terrified of the lightning around them.
"...Come, there are better places for us to talk. Your Guardian looks like she'll die of fright if she stays out here any longer."
He gestured to the agency. "I'll take care of any costs... consider it my apology."

 

Yuna nodded and smiled, heading for the agency, Kari gently guided Rikku to the agency.

 

Dean and the other Guardians followed suit.

"Hey...isn't this...?" Tidus asked, finding the agency familar. "Rin's place? He did say he has these agencies across Spira, I bet he doesn't get much guests from this place though." Dean said.

 

Lukya sighed as Kari dried her and Rikku off, Yuna dried herself and went to the counter, requesting a stay for one night.

 

Daichi sat down on the other side of the agency after shaking water out of his fur.
"... Sir Auron. I doubt you remember me...
Mt. Gagazet... ten years ago... I never got the chance to thank you... nor Sir Jecht or Lord Braska."

 

Dean heard the thunder rumble again as he was unfazed by it, he had to rub his jaw though.

"That's what you get for going against a Ronso eh?" Wakka said and Dean looked at him. "Oh shut up Wakka, it did it's job." He said to him.

 

Yuna turned to Dean and placing her hand near his jaw, she whispered something and a small light shone, then fading. Yuna smiled. "All better."

 

"yes I remember you, I glad to see you are doing fine" Auron said calmly to the one infront of him

 

"... I owe you my life..."
Daichi stopped deep in thought, and sighed... He then tenderly adjusted the yellow headband around his forehead, it was a memento of his sister.
"What should I do now... Out there... she basically asked me to become her Guardian didn't she? ...

 

"do what you feel is right. If you trust Yuna enough to entrust your life then join. Its your decision" Auron said

 

"For ten years... it's always been me alone...
... Just me and my goal... I... I don't know...
I... need to think about it..."
He stared at Yuna as he thought...
Revenge... that's what was driving him. He wanted to bring an end to Sin.
Yuna being a summoner was also trying to bring an end to Sin, but for the sake of peace.
It's true that joining her would help him achieve his goal... he just wasn't used to being around others.
He glared at the blue Ronso next... His hatred for the Ronso was deep despite he himself being half Ronso.
he didn't know if he would be able to bare travelling with him in tow.
Daichi felt conflicted, he'd blamed himself for his sisters death. It had been him who had suggested they leave the mountain when they were still cubs. Doing so, had resulted in her death.
Revenge was all that mattered to him. He wanted Sin dead... he wanted enough strength to create change in the Ronso. He wanted to prove to them he was better despite being a half-ling. He wanted to rub it in their faces after all the suffering he and Luna went through. He wanted them to see they were wrong... He wanted... for any other potential half-lings born into the Ronso not to have to suffer how he had.
He looked at the other Guardians.
He was used to solitude... but maybe it was time for a change.
He couldn't make such a commitment lightly though, becoming a Guardian was a commitment that once made, would last until the pilgrimage ended, one way or another.
He rested his head in his hands, even after all his thinking... he was still no closer to a decision.
