Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

"She does... I could tell when I spoke to her... back there in Bevelle... she still holds that dream in her heart along with everyone's friendship... It means everything to her..."
Daichi was trying to avoid eye contact with Rikku, to avoid her reading him..
He noticed Kari and Ryo... he could tell that there were deeper feelings between the two... but he didn't want to get involved in that.
It was up to them to show it when the time was right.
His attention snapped back to Rikku. He could tell he was still failing at hiding his expressions.
...It was never this hard before... It goes to show. I have changed because of everybody... Yuna and Dean were right back when I first met them. I've become stronger because of everybody... but I've also gained... and lost... a lot more.
He felt worried that Lukya was alone... surrounded by Yevon on all sides. Yevon... a religion that had betrayed her along with her brother.
He sighed unintentionally.

 

Rikku heard the sigh, "You're really worried about her, aren't you, Daichi? That now as a Maester, she's all alone by the religion that took away her brother. I'm worried that she won't know what to do as the leader of the Guado."

 

Daichi looked back at Rikku again. "Heh... You're good.."
Daichi walked to the exit of the camp and stopped.
"Lukya is strong... but she is also young... and she must feel... painfully alone right now... I too know that feeling. That you have no one... you've lost everyone and everything... That all you have left is your duty... your goal...
No one should have to feel like that... especially someone as good as Lukya."
Daichi's shoulders shook slightly.
He felt that he had to get away from the others for a little bit, and so he suddenly announced. "I'm going to keep guard... Just in case any Yevonites come close to this place." He however found himself rooted to the spot.
Just move dammit...

 

Tidus brought Yuna underwater as the kiss continued.

Dean rubbed his hair. "Destroy Kazuhiro? What the hell is that guy saying?" He thought to himself, obivously confused as he felt a feeling build up inside ofhim, it felt warmth as if he could feel something wonderful and he turned his head, seeing a small purple robed boy appear in only his sight who just smiled.

"The hell?" he thought as the boy's eyes made contact with his eyes and spoke. "Lady Yuna." He said as he slowly vanishied and Dean blinked, the boy now gone. "The hell was that kid...?" He thought and rubbed his eyes, he was probably exhausted from all of today occuring. "Mind's probably playing tricks on me." he thought to himself.

 

While Tidus and Yuna were underwater, they held their hands tightly and floated in the water. Yuna floated a bit above Tidus' legs and gently touched his cheek.

Kari looked at Daichi, "What's wrong? Are you worried about something?"

 

Daichi was quiet for a few moments, finally he spoke up, "...Nothing.." Daichi lied.
He jumped up and started climbing a tree for a high vantage point. He squatted down on a sturdy branch, one arm on the trunk of the tree for support, and kept watch on the crossroad area looking for any Yevonite activity.

 

Kari watched him and sighed, "Lukya would have to come in disguise if she came to us." "Because she's a Maester now?" Rikku asked, Kari nodded.

 

"and because we're regarded a traitors..." Daichi said quietly from his branch.
"That certainly doesn't make it easy for her."
Daichi wasn't sure if they could hear him, not that right now he even cared...
He personally couldn't help but not hear them.
His Ronso blood gave him enhanced keen senses including hearing.
It was rare that a Ronso's ears were wrong.

Kari sighed and nodded in response, Rikku looked at her. "I never knew you were so smart, Kari." Kari smiled and looked away, embarrassed.

 

Ryo sighed as he stood on the cliff of the calm lands and gazed out at the sea of grass "once I obtain it, this is where I shall summon the Final Aeon" Ryo said and closed his eyes "will I regret it…not telling her how I feel?" Ryo muttered quietly and opened his eyes as the wind blew past his hair and cape "it's for the best. She shouldn't hear the confession of a man going off to die" Ryo said

 

Kari couldn't help but think about Ryo. She wondered why he suddenly called her name correctly, and sighed.

 

Daichi was trying his best to keep watch on the area for Yevonites, but there wasn't much activity right now. His vision wandered back to the camp and he noticed Kari's expression and sigh. He dropped down from his branch, scaring Wakka in the process who hadn't expected him to land next to him. "You okay?" he asked Kari.

 

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking........" Kari told him, Rikku looked at her, confused. Kari didn't show it, but she was actually concerned about Ryo.

 

"It's as obvious to me as the things bothering me were to you..." he said to her quietly.
"It's just you do a better job at hiding it, unfortunately for you... this is what I'm good at..."

 

"I guess I'm actually worried about Ryo." Kari said, Rikku smiled. "Go follow him, Kari, tell him how you truly feel." "I can't leave Yuna, I'm her guardian, Rikku."

 

Daichi put a hand on Kari's shoulder. "I've been facing a similar problem, I'm sure I'd be apprehended the moment I set foot there, but part of me wants to go back to Bevelle for Lukya. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I have my duty to Yuna. I told Lukya to commit to her duty, so I very well can't omit from mine... however... what you wish to do isn't suicide... and the fact is, you'd be able to come back afterwards if you so wished, where as I would not be able to.
Yuna most certainly wouldn't try to stop you if you did. In fact... she'd probably support you and tell you to go."
That was probably the most Daichi had said in a single sentence to them ever. But it felt right him saying things how they were...
The fact is... Kari still had a chance, and if she wanted to take it... she should feel that she can.

 

Kari looked at them and sighed, "I'll be right back." She ran in the same direction that Ryo left in, Rikku smiled.

Kari ran as fast as she could and shouted as she entered the Calm Land, "Ryo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lukya looked in the direction of Macalania from the bridge of Bevelle. She was tempting herself to run to the forest and beg to the others to her join as a Guardian, she knew that she really knew.

 

Ryo's eyes widened the moment he heard Kari's voice and looked over his shoulder "K-Kari?" Ryo said in shock turning around to face her

 

"Hmm... I think it's about time that at least one of us gets the chance of happiness... to make their dreams come true... and she deserves such a chance at least." Daichi said closing his eyes and turning away. A small smile on his face.
At least some good had come from all of this.

 

"Ryo!" Kari stopped behind him and caught her breath. "Ryo! Don't use this anymore! Call off our bet! I don't want to lose you! You know what happens when the Final Aeon is summoned! I don't want that to happen to you!" She hugged him tightly.
