Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

Dean felt Rikku's arms around hsi waist and faintly went red, he cursed himself for this now...and Daichi for lettign them ride together as they reached the other end of the Calm Land and turne dhis head. "We're here." He said and let Rikku get off before he did so and let go of the Chocobo as it ran off back into the wild.

Tidus and Yuna's fast approached with Wakka and Lulu's and Kimarhi and Auron (OOC: Who would of thought?) and Dean heard something...almost like huge stomps and turned his head, seeing a huge machina approach them, Defender X had a Guado Guardian with it briefly before he left and the Defender did something unexpected, it swatted Rikku aside rather fast, sending her to the ground.

"..." Dean saw the fist coem for him but he held out his hand and just when the fist came to crush him, he stopped it, feet sliding against the ground slightly, his eyes had one look that no-one wanted to see that said no mercy and to stay clear of him as his pattern appeared all over him. "...." He pulled back his other hand, made it into a fist and slammed it onto the open hand of Defender X as the arm was broken. "...You hit Rikku..." He said ina very calm but angry tone, he was calm...actually, forget that, he was pissed beyond all things as he saw the other arm try to get him but Dean whipped out his gun and fired three shots, one completely broke that arm as the Defender X was trying to analyze the situation and the second bullet got the legs.

 

Lukya quickly pulled out her bow and loaded it, unleashing a Thunder Shock. Kari defended her childhood friend as she tossed her blitzball while Yuna healed her cousin's wounds.

 

With a mega flare the aeon Yojimbo disappeared into pyreflies. "no escape" Ryo yelled as he ran forward to slash at the female unsent summoner. Ryo raised his blade ready to slash down but the summoner disappeared before he could finish the attack "She is gone...and I didn't get to send her" Ryo said and sighed as he continued threw the cave he found

Upon reaching the chamber Ryo preformed the prayer causing the fayth to appear before him. "I am the blade of vengeance. They dare only whisper my name: Yojimbo. Summoner, I ask you. What do you want of me?" the fayth asked. "to wield your power and have you fight along side me" Ryo said. "If you desire my strength, you must pay my price. Make your offer." Yojimbo said. Ryo sighed "alright...wait WHAT? What do you mean pay?" Ryo yelled. "my services do not come cheap. If you wish for them then pay me Gil" Yojimbo said. "but what the hell does a fayth need Gil for?" Ryo replied. "do not question my methods. If you pay me too little then I shall refuse offering my service" Yojimbo said. With a groan Ryo took out his pouch of gil "take it all" Ryo said throwing it over to Yojimbo. Yojimbo caught the pouch and smiled "You alone realize my true value. You are a master worth serving. My sword shall guard you on your journey, summoner." Yojimbo said and disappeared as Ryo obtained Yojimbo. "I recieved a new aeon...but at what cost" Ryo said grieving for his Gil

 

Daichi launched his attacks and retreated close to Lukya as the Defender X was suffering Dean's wrath.
He deemed it was unnecessary to attack again... Dean seemed to have it covered.

Daichi had to question if this sudden growth in Dean's power had anything to do with Dean's weird Aeon transformation thing...

 

Rikku got up and looked at Dean, she shouted, "Dean, I'm okay!!!!!!! Please, calm down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She ran to him and hugged him from behind.

 

Dean was calming down when Rikku grasped him and his patterns vanished and he looked at her. "I let my emotions get the better of me." He said lowly

 

Rikku smiled and held him again. "It's okay, you were just concerned about me. Thank you." Kari smiled and blushed, thinking about Ryo. Lukya and Yuna smiled. "I knew Rikku would find someone." Kari said, blushing.

 

Daichi looked to Lukya to see if she was okay, before moving over to Dean. He felt bad about interrupting such a moment between Rikku and him... but he felt this was important enough to warrent it.
"...Dean, a word. Please." he wasn't asking, but he wasn't demanding it either.

 

Ryo sighed as the flashback had ended and looked over at the Ronso in charge of the shop and put down all the purchases of healing items "I'm sorry but I have no money" Ryo said sadly this will make Zanarkand much harder Ryo thought. "Its alright. Guardian Ryo and Summoner Salina help save Ronso when they we in big trouble. It is least we Ronso can do. Take as much as you want" said the store owner said. Ryo's eyes widened "th-thank you" Ryo said taking only the necessities. Upon getting what he needed Ryo walked up to the path to Zanarkand from here out...this will be the second most hardest trial Ryo thought to himself remembering his first which was his battle against his clone.

Ryo closed his eyes and began to walk but head footsteps and turned around to see a bunch of Ronso and former Maester Kelk Ronso. "We Ronso wish you a safe journey and thank you for what you and your sister did" Kelk Ronso said as he and the other Ronso did the prayer of Yevon for him "we Ronso grieve for the loss of your sister. We Ronso await the calm you will bring and make a statue just like the one we made for summoner Salina" Kelk Ronso said. Ryo was stunned at their generosity "thank you so much" Ryo said really grateful and tried to close his eyes tightly so he could hide tears

"A summoner without a guardian don't be ridiculous"

"What a fool, let him go off and die"

"how dare he dishonor the name of the summoners with such nonsense

"Let him go, besides he won't even reach the first temple at all"

"haha thats right how could a failed guardian ever hope to take the role of both. Let him join his sister"


All these voices filled his mind and he couldn't help but let the tears fall "thank you...thank you all for believing in me" Ryo said and wiped the tears "I-I will make sure the calm comes" Ryo said and looked over at the mountain fueled with determination and began to walk. The as he walked away he hear the Ronso sing the Hymn of the Fayth. Once Ryo got far away Ryo stopped and gaze out at the scenery as he remembered the Ronso's encouragement and smiled "for sure I will bring the calm.

"How 'bout a challenge then, Lord Ryo?.....First one to Zanarkand and obtain the Final Aeon must acknowledge the other's power and skills."

"..yes that was the start of it...my feelings for her. Unlike everybody else...she believed I could make it to Zanarkand" Ryo said with a smile

OOC: Both Ryo and Daichi see the Ronso differently. One honors and respects them while the other curses and hates them

 

Dean looked at Rikku. "I'll be back." He said to her and felt her let go as he approached Daichi. "What is it?" He asked him, placing his hands on his hips, wondering what it could be Daichi could want to ask from him.

Tidus noticed a straying pathway besides the bridge that led to the snowy mountains. "Where's that lead to?" He had to ask.

 

"Looks like the path to the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. Wakka, don't get mad when you hear this, but I heard a legend that says the Fayth, which was stolen long ago, in the cavern try to prevent Summoners from completing their pilgrimages. Some people say it is the Al Bhed." Kari looked at the path while Rikku looked at her, wanting to know how Kari knew this all.

 

Daichi stayed quiet for a few seconds, just looking into Dean's eyes, as if he was looking for something... finally he spoke. He spoke quietly so only Dean (and he figured, Kimahri with his hearing... but Daichi couldn't do much about that) could hear.
"...It's alright to lose yourself to your emotions... You and I both know I'd be a hypocrite if I said otherwise...
but..." he paused as he thought of how to phrase his point.
"That... hmm..." he paused again...
"... That wasn't just losing yourself to your emotions Dean... That was something else entirely and I think you know it...
It's like... you were possessed."
He looked Dean square in the eyes as he said this. He didn't want to anger Dean, but something was concerning him. His instincts were what made him speak out to Dean, like he had to warn him.
"I've seen you transform into that weird Aeon thing a few times now... and look, I really don't know why... but I think...
The more you use that form... the more you'll change... I've seen you angry before Dean. But never like that, even if it's over someone you care about. I can't help but feel a strange air around you when you transform... it's like an air of death...
and look right, you didn't transform there... but... you had that same air around you..." He felt uncomfortable.
"I tell you this, because as a friend, I'm worried about you.
I just think you need to be careful..."

and yeah Twilight, I liked that little thing you noticed about Daichi and Ryo.

 

Dean listened to Daichi's words and remember what Kazuhiro said about his Aeon, it was known as the Terror of Death and perhaps within good reason as well, but he felt like he's practically known Skieth all his life despite only calling his name, it was a mystery but what Daichi said also rung true, Dean was not fazed by Defender X's attempts at all even though it could practically crush a human being if given the chance.

"There are things even I don't know about of what I am, it's probably something that happens naturally but even though it's okay to worry about my well-being, it can't be helped since no-one's been through holding an actual Aeon inside of them, perhaps it's tied to my emotions, other that that, I can't give a reason or even tell others of the changes occuring within me, sure it's scary as hell but if this is what is meant to happen, I have to push forward and accept those changes...besides."

Dean took a glance at the other members and turned back. "This journey is nearing it's end...and so far, all I know is Kazuhiro holds all the answers to who I am and what I hold, if there are other answers, Zanarkand is perhaps the place to get them." He said with honesty and walked away but Dean was acting calm but within him, he was terrifed of the sudden power and air he had given off for a moment,. "Is this what I truly am? A person capable of giving off the air of death and have no emotion for anything regardless...damnit...I need answers...

 

Daichi called back to him suddenly.
"Well... just remember, if anything... else...
I have your back."
It wasn't like him to blurt something out in such a way.
But he had felt something deep within that had just made him do it.

 

Dean followed the group down the pathway to the Cavern of Stolen Fayth. "Why bother kidnapping a Fayth in the first place ya?" He asked and Tidus thought it about. "Maybe so the summoner won't die!" he said and Wakka thought it was teh case.

"Probably what the thief was thinking." He reasoned as Dean stood in front of the cavern, seeing pryeflies. "So this place houses a Aeon?" He asked in question

 

Daichi noticed Lulu had a strange expression flash across her face..
"Lulu..? You okay?" he asked. He hadn't spoken to Lulu that often, but he could still tell something was bothering her.

 

Lukya looked at the cave entrance, "I have never seen so pyreflies before." "Make sure not to faint, little princess." Kari said, smiling.

 

"Well, no time like the present right?" Dean asked aloud and walked into the cave and stood still, he ould somehow...feel something in this place and it disturbed him. "The hell?" He thought to himself, sure he wasn't as sensitive as Guado around pryeflies or unsent but he could feel a vibe in the air, one of regret, could it of been Skieth?

 

Daichi didn't know what to make of Lulu's silence..
He just sighed instead and moved back to being near Lukya.
He felt a strange vibe from the cave. The feelings of death and regret loomed here...
and... something powerful resided within.

 

Kari and Rikku entered the cave, Yuna followed them. Lukya looked at Daichi and smiled, following her older female friends.
