Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

The group reaches the base of Mt. Gagazet. It's strangely deserted. Kimahri looks ahead. Out of the corner of his eye, a figure descends and lands on the ground. Biran.
Yenke is following closely behind Kelk who is approaching the group.

Daichi lingered close to the group.

OOC: I think you should still be Kelk at least lol

 

"Summoner Yuna and guardians, leave here at once!" Kelk said calmly as the ledge of the hills were Ronso surrounding them.
"Gagazet is Ronso land, sacred mountain of Yevon. The mountain will not bear the footsteps of infidels!" Kelk said,staring at the group who left their chocobos since those birds hate the cold.

 

"Enemy of Yevon is enemy of Ronso! Leave, traitors!" Biran said, shouting his warning.

 

"Please, Kelk! Yuna and the others are innocent! Listen to the words of a fellow Maester!" Lukya shouted, revealing her Maester robes. "Let us pass! We are innocent, including me!" Kari and Rikku watched Lukya try to convince the leader of the Ronso to let them pass.

 

"A Summoner and her guardians...as well a Maester." Kelk started to say but Dean spoke up. "Don't give us your attachment to Yevon Maester, you are here so I'd pretty much assume you left Bevelle as a Maester but yet here you are, protecting your mountain as a Ronso and we're all pretty much the same, Yuna is very much the same as yourself."

Dean's eyes were showing he wasn't going to be moved from his spot. "And if Yuna stands her ground and chooses not to flee, then I'll do the same as will eveyone else."

Kelk shook his head. "You have been branded a traitor, but still you would fight Sin? Lost to the temple, hated by the people, yet you continue your pilgrimage? Everything lost! What do you fight for?" Kelk asked Yuna, staring into her eyes.

 

"Elder Kelk!
Let Biran rend them asunder!" Biran roared

Yenke goes beside Biran

"No escape! Not one!" Yenke taunted.

 

"I fight to protect the people of Spira and to protect my guardians." Yuna said, looking at him. Lukya looked at him, "Kelk, you should know if I was asked that question, I'd say I fight for my people, the Guado. I don't know if you heard, but I am now leader of the Guado. I'm fighting to protect them and my friends."

 

"Even sacrificing yourself?" Kelk began to ask and Tidus spoke. "No! We won't allow that to happen, we'll find a way to stop Summoners dying!" Tidus said and Kelk looked at the man. "You are foolish." He said as Dean gave a grin.

"You can do anything as long you don't give up and we're not giving up on this journey and finding that method." Dean said as Kelk spoke clearly. "Summoner Yuna and Guardians, your wills is stronger than steel. Tempered steel that even the mightiest Ronso's could not hope to bend. Yuna, we bow to your will! Now go! The sacred heights of Gagazet welcome you." Kelk said as Dean breathed a bit.

 

Lukya smiled at everyone and covered her robes. "Thank you, Kelk." She said, following her companions to the path.

 

"Halt!"

Biran and Yenke walk down the path the group was heading up

 

Lukya turned back to the Ronso following them. She got in front of Daichi, "I may ask what is the matter?" She wanted to help Daichi, despite how bitterly he spoke to her at the temple.

 

Daichi didn't say anything, instead he glared at the two Ronso barring their path.

 

"What now?" Tidus asked.

 

Kari watched while Rikku simply shivered in the cold, hoping they would hurry up. Yuna stood near Tidus and looked at the Ronso.

 

"Summoner may pass."
"Guardians may pass."
"Kimahri not pass!"
"Daichi not pass!"
"Kimahri shame Ronso brothers. Kimahri forget his birth."
"Daichi shame Mountain. Daichi cast aside Ronso name."

Daichi glared hard at both Biran and Yenke.
But still didn't move, he felt rooted to the spot. His hatred was deep, yet his anger was strangely controlled.

"Forget their people, forget their mountain. Little Ronso! Weakling Ronso! Filthy Half-Breed! Weakling Half-Breed!"
"Mountain hate the weak, hate the small. If you will climb..."

"Then I must prove my strength!" Kimahri said, speaking up.

"Think you will win?
You not forget who took your horn! Never forget!"
"Kimahri never beat brother Biran! Never win!"

"This time, I win. I will win!"

Daichi had to admit... he was astounded by Kimahri's resolve.

 

Yuna smiled at her Ronso guardian, Lukya looked at him and sighed. Rikku shouted, "Show those Ronso whose better, Kimahri!" Kari smiled, Lukya told him, "Just be careful, for all of us."

 

Tidus was about to step forward but Dean exetended his arm. "Don't bother, the Ronso are considered a warrior tribe and they take honor above anything else and since those two are Ronso, they must prove they've grown strong enough and that all their hard work this far doesn't come to waste." he said and Tidus spoke. "You sure they'll be fine?" He asked and Dean gave a small smirk from the corner of his mouth.

"We've traveled with them for quite a while so that answer is easy." he said and Tidus nodded.

 

Daichi stepped forward in front of Tidus.
Looked back and nodded at Dean.
"...This is Kimahri's problem... and this is my problem..."
He looked forwards at Biran and Yenke.
"...This is a battle of honour... so two against one seems hardly right...
That is why I too will prove my strength... two against two is more than enough..."

"Biran will make Daichi eat those words."
"Daichi weak halfling!"

Daichi stood strangely calm despite the insults that would have once made him charge forwards in rage.
"Maybe I was once weak... which is why the Mountain turned against me... us... as we left...
Maybe I was weak... when I kept trying to take everything alone...
but I've learnt something...
You can't become strong on your own." Memories of all the good and bad times with his friends flashed through his mind.
"That is why, I fight here, not only for me...
Not only for Luna... but also for my friends. We will beat you both! Biran and Yenke!"

Daichi took out his two katana and stuck them in the snow behind him.
He then stood next to Kimahri and crouched down in a battle ready position.
Kimahri also stood ready.

Biran and Yenke readied themselves.
"Biran rend you asunder!"
"Hornless! Half-breed!"

 

Yuna smiled and asked Lukya to come over. She did, and gave concerned looks to Kimahri and Daichi.

All four Ronso charged.
Biran and Yenke were brutal, they were used to fighting alongside eachother, where as Kimahri and Daichi weren't.
Yenke barged into Daichi sending him flying back wards while Biran bulldozed Kimahri, Kimahri stood his ground and caught the bulldoze, but was slowly being pushed back, his feet digging into the snow.
Yenke took advantage immediately and attacked Kimahri while he was unable to defend himself.
Kimahri threw Yenke off, kicked Biran away and used Lancet.
Straight away he used Stone breath.
"Daichi! Lancet!" Kimahri roared.
Daichi was charging back into the battle.
"It's never worked when I use it!"
"Lancet!" he roared again. "Don't think! ..Do!"
Daichi tapped into himself...
Anyone could learn to use Lancet... but only a Ronso could extract abilities by using it... Daichi had never been able to before...
But he tried. He targeted Yenke and used Lancet drawing energy and knowledge into himself.
He jumped into the air and used Fire Breath.
