Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

Lukya smiled at Daichi, sucessefullly using Lancet. Yuna simply hoped Daichi and Kimahri would be alright.

 

As the battle went on, Kimahri and Daichi got better working together.
They were able to cover for eachother just Like Biran and Yenke,
they also continued to use Lancet to their advantage and soon the tide of the battle was turning.
Kimahri used abilities like white wind to keep them on their feet.
The battle continued...
It was clear both parties were starting to tire...
The fight would come down to the next few moves.
Daichi chose to act first, he slipped past Biran, charged towards Yenke and used Lancet.
He immediately used, the newly learnt Thrust kick and smashed hard into Yenke's chest, sending him flying hard into the Mountain and landing face first into the snow.
He didn't get back up.
This sent Biran into a beserk state, but Kimahri was already restraining him from behind.
Biran threw Kimahri off of him, but Kimahri rebounded from the throw and delivered a strong punch to his gut also flooring Biran.

Biran, was down on one knee, Yenke was up, but clutching his side...

"Strong is Kimahri. Biran is happy."
He stands up, walks away for a bit, then looks upward, and in a booming voice shouts...
"Sacred Mount Gagazet!
I honor the name of strong warrior who defeats Biran.
Remember always, Gagazet! That name is Kimahri!"

"Mountain knows Kimahri strong. Kimahri may pass."

Both turned to look at Daichi.
"Daichi is also strong, despite impure Ronso blood.
Daichi proven proud Ronso wrong."

Daichi just stood glaring...

"We now know we wrong in past... As Ronso. We say sorry to both you and your sister."
Both bowed their head.

Daichi yelled at them, "You think that's it! You think all can be forgiven just like that?!"
"No... but remember! We Ronso still honour those who dead." Biran said, gesturing up the path to the mountain.
Daichi looked for a moment in shock as he realised what Biran was referring to.
"Any death, death of Ronso, death of Human, death of Al-Bhed... death of child... tragic. We pay respects regardless of blood.."
Daichi stared at the floor, not knowing what to say...

Biran looked up at Yuna having had an idea.
"Summoner!
We Ronso will stop pursuers from temple."

 

"Thank you, both of you." Yuna bowed at them and walked. Lukya walked up to Daichi and smiled. "I knew you and Kimahri could do it." She ignored the feeling she had what lied ahead on the mountain.

 

"Penance for breaking Kimahri's horn, long ago."
He paused, "Penance for hurting two children, long ago."

"We crush enemies following behind."


"Kimahri crush enemies standing before."


"You are most fortunate summoner.
Ronso will shine your statue brightest."

 

Yuna smiled at them, Kari wondered about one of the statues they passed upon entering the mountain. Lukya smiled and grabbed Daichi's hand. Rikku smiled and shivered.

 

"Ronso will make!"
"With grand horn on head!"
"We also make statue of Luna, symbol of strength that half Ronso also carry!"
"No Ronso ever forget."

Daichi felt Lukya grab his hand... he couldn't react though... this sudden change had made him feel numb.
This fight had changed the Ronso view... it wasn't revenge like he had first intended... but... it still resulted in the same thing.
Never again would a half-Ronso have to suffer...
He still held hatred for the Ronso... he could never forgive them for the past...
but already... that hatred was slipping away.
At last, he was free from one of the burdens he carried.

He had become vaguely aware that some other Ronso had gathered around to watch, young and old.

He looked at Biran and Yenke, nodded and said, "...Thank you.."
Both proud Ronso nodded back and walked away, allowing the group to pass.

 

Lukya walked with them, holding Daichi's hand. She smiled at him, but she wondered about the weird feeling she had. Kari kept Rikku close by to keep her warm, Yuna looked around.

 

"Summoner Yuna!"
Biran starts singing the Hymn of the Fayth. Yenke joins in. The rest of the Ronsos walks on screen for a second delivery of the Hymn of the Fayth.
After that, the group are free to start their climb up the treachourous mountain path of Mount Gagazet.

 

Yuna smiled when she heard the Hymn. Aside from Lukya, Daichi, and Kimahri, Kari gave everyone warm traveling cloaks to wear against the cold weather on the mountain. She made sure that each one could allow its wearer to use their weapons while in combat.

 

Dean put on hsi cloak as he felt the snow move under his feet, to say it was cold was understatement of the day but nevertheless, he pushed himself on, answers lay in these mountains and he was damned as hell to be stopped from getting from the sought out answers ever since he first awakened in Spira.

 

Yuna held onto her cloak and followed everyone, trying to keep warm. Lukya sighed and walked through the snow, Rikku wondered what kind of answers Dean would find in the mountains.

 

Auron calmly walked with the others threw mt.gagazet

 

Tidus noticed a landmark with a large spear next to a boulder as Lulu noticed this. "These mark the graves of summoners and guardians who failed." she said as they continued on, noticing another not soon after. "Summoners that die up here... aren't sent to the Farplane." Lul said with a sadful tone.

"Why not?" Tidus asked and Lulu stared at him. ""Who would send them? They die alone." and Tidus stared back. "Yuna'll be fine." He said.

 

They continued up the mountain... suddenly Daichi stopped where he was.
Eyes looking in the direction of a small stone monument. It wasn't just summoners who die on this mountain.
A look of pain was on his face.

 

Lukya looked at the stone monument and looked at Daichi. Kari and Rikku noticed it as well. "Whose monument is this?" Kari asked.

 

Daichi sighed,"...I suppose now is as good a time as any..." he said quietly. "I... was thinking of telling you guys before..."
He paused, took a deep breath and began.
"As you are aware... I'm only half-Ronso... I was born under a Human Mother and a Ronso Father...
Well... me and my twin sister Luna... You may have seen her at the Farplane..." he paused again... finding it hard to speak...
"We were often the target of abuse from many fellow Ronso tribesmen. Being called 'Hornless' and 'Half Breeds'...
One day, when we were just four... Our parents were found dead at the bottom of Mt. Gagazet, it is believed they committed a double suicide as their relationship was frowned upon by the other Ronso... Me and Luna had to take care of ourselves from then on...
Many Ronso wanted us half-breed children thrown out of the tribe, it was only the tribe leader Kelk's intervention that prevented that from becoming reality..." He paused again... it was getting even harder to talk now... he took a deep breath and continued.
"Ten years ago when myself and Luna were seven, we could no longer stand the way that the other tribe members mistreated us... just because of our mixed blood, it was like we shouldn't even be alive... we never belonged to the mountain... so... we decided to run away.
As we descended Mt. Gagazet... we were attacked by a Sin Spawn..." He clenched his fists tight...
"We were so young, just cubs... we didn't stand a chance... we tried to flee, but Luna was struck down and..."he trailed off...
"Me... in my anger turned around and tried in vain to fight it but I was blown away easily.
Just as it looked like I was about to be finished off..." He glanced at Auron.
"I was saved by Braska's group as they were travelling through Gagazet to get to Zanarkand. They defeated the Sin spawn so easily...
Braska was able to treat my wounds with his white magic, but Luna..." A tear escaped his eye, the first one since that day. "was beyond saving...
Braska performed the sending... he said something about how... his daughter was around our age...
Jecht himself... helped me make her grave and then make the monument...
After that... we parted... I saw Braska pull out a sphere..." He looked at Yuna "I heard your name..."

He crouched in front of the monument, there were freshly laid flowers on top of the monument... that was what Biran and Yenke had meant by they honoured the dead.

"In my grief, I aimed my hatred towards Sin... for Luna's death, and at the Ronso people who shunned me and my sister.
I threw away my Ronso name, and took my Mothers name of Inozuka. For the next ten years, I travelled across Spira alone, training and honing my skills in the hope that one day I'd be able to avenge my sister.
In the end... I ended up in the home of the Guado... I visited the Farplane... I wanted to see her again...
and... well... you know the rest..." he finished...

 

"I guess I would never know the pain you felt because no one looked down upon me for my mixed blood." Yuna said, looking at him. Lukya thought about her brother, he had spend his childhood in the Baaj Temple with his human mother until she died and he turned eighteen. She sighed and looked at the monument.

 

"I'm sorry... for how I've acted up until now..." he told the others...
He removed the yellow headband that belonged to his sister and ripped off a small bit for the bottom of his shirt and tied them together, he then tied it around the stone monument, it blowing in the direction of the wind.
"Luna became a part of the mountain while I continued to run from it...
I can't run any more... I won't."
He stood up... "All of this time, I was fighting for vengeance... I was also fighting to run away from my guilt.
I'll continue to fight... my resolve is still strong...
but I won't fight to run... I'll fight to face such obstacles...
I'm with you guys to the end...
I'm past my hatred for the Ronso now... no more distractions.
We will beat Sin,
and we will save Yuna."

A small crack appeared in the mountain wall behind Luna's monument.
A small crest like object fell out of the hole and landed next to it.
Daichi picked it up.

 

Lukya and Kari looked at their crest objects. Lukya walked up to him and looked at the crest, "A lion, just like you........." She smiled at him.

 

OOC: His weapon is actually the Leo sign lol (Yeah, his weapon doesn't become his celestial weapon lol, it IS his celestial weapon... it's just in-complete without the power of the crest and sigil, so basically he's had it all along. He just doesn't know.)

He looked at the crest and smiled at Lukya too.
"...Do you think it's a sign from my sister?.." he asked.
