Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

Once they got out the Sanctuary Keeper stood in front of them. "Yunalesca awaits us at Zanarkand. She is as alive as Seymour and Mika" Auron said drawing his sword

 

Daichi wasn't surprised by news such as this.. Not any more.
He pulled out his blades.
Ready to fight the new enemy in front of them.
His will to fight seemed empty...
maybe that would disappear in time.

 

"We understand." Kari said, smiling as she took out her weapons. She and Rikku got into their stances, Yuna held out her staff. Lukya loaded her bow and aimed it at the Sanctuary Keeper.

 

With their combined efforts the opponent eventually fell and disappeared

 

"Next stop: Zanarkand." Kari said, walking toward the city, removing her cloak. Yuna, Rikku, and Lukya followed her.

 

Daichi followed close behind.

Zanarkand... city of the dead...
dead...
I wonder how Kimahri is taking this... he's still focused on Yuna. That's his duty, he cares for her...
What should I do though...
Everything's changing so fast... I thought I'd figured things out... but...
now...
What do I do?

 

"so how long were you planning to keep me waiting?"

Standing before the group stood Ryo who was gazing at the ruined city of Zanarkand. Despite the numerous wounds on his body Ryo stood strong and proud with arms crossed in front of the twilight

 

"Ryo!" Yuna shouted, shocked to all his wounds. Kari walked up behind him, "Ryo, we spoke to your sister. Don't go and scarifice yourself."

 

"so you spoke to Salina...I'm sorry but I can't just walk away" Ryo said

 

Daichi listened to what Ryo was saying... he stayed calm, but he could feel his patience slipping.
He had a short fuse as it was... but more so than usual as of late.

 

"She doesn't want you to die for her!!!!" Kari shouted. "Also, she won't have given me those weapons to stop you! They are her blessing to me! She said you chose wisely for the one you care for!" She took out her weapons and showed them to him.

 

Ryo's eyes widened when he saw the weapons. He closed his eyes and clenched his fist "and this is why I must defeat Sin. Not just for her but for the calm. Even if Sin shall return to know that I brought happiness is good enough for me. I threw away care for my life on this mountain" Ryo yelled in despair

 

"Did you...... also throw away love on this mountain?" Kari calmly asked, tears streaming down her face. "All your sister wants to for you to love again! Stop feeling guilty for her death!"

 

Kari's tears were enough.
Daichi walked up to Ryo, looking quite calm, and then he punched him in the jaw flooring him. He stood over him with his arms crossed.
"You're a fool...
You once said, you'd do anything for your sister, was that a lie?... can't you honour that by listening to her request, even in death?
How about the girl you love? Who loves you, and is standing before you, begging you..
Don't you want to end this spiral of Death! Your death won't accomplish anything if you go now!"

 

Dean wanted to punch Ryo but with surpise, Daichi got ahead of him on that department. "...Besides, we won't accept anymore sacrifices to this journey, we'll try where many others have attempted but...we'll tear the spiral to pieces, so how about you get off your high horse and stop trying to be cool and actually help us!" Dean said aloud.

 

Rikku comforted Kari, Lukya looked at Daichi and smiled. Yuna looked out the horizon, then walked to Ryo, healing his many wounds expect the one Daichi gave him.

 

Ryo made no effort to stand back up and stared at the sky "tell me...you don't want to allow me to sacrifice myself. What about Yuna? why bring her here? why lead her all the way to Zanarkand? She is about to do the same thing as myself" Ryo said calmly

 

Daichi still stood over Ryo, his arms crossed and eyes closed. "Weren't you even listening?.."
Daichi looked to Yuna, and said with conviction "We're gonna stop this spiral of death."
Daich bent down and picked up Ryo by his collar with one arm, lifting him off his feet and into air, his red eyes staring into Ryo's.
"Don't be a fool as I was... being blinded by what you think is your burden... your duty."
he dropped him so he would land on his feet.
Daichi went over to the crying Kari and with one arm, guided her into Ryo's arms.
"Don't you just want to feel the weight of one life in your arms... for once?" he said giving Ryo one more stern look.

 

Ryo looked down at Kari and grasped her tightly and smiled "I have always been stubborn. I must be the most stubborn guy in all of Spira something I am trying to change." Ryo said whispered in Kari's ear and closed his eyes "I will continue my journey for not because of my burden, but for you and all of Spira. Knowing that I brought the calm will put me at peace. Holding you right now only makes me want to protect you even more Please let me go on" Ryo whispered

 

"Who says your going on alone." Dean said and looked at Zanarkand's ruined state. "We're all going to the same place in the end so why not join us?" Dean stated and began to walk down the path to the city. "After all, we're not having any sacrifices, we'll ask Yunalesca directly about this Final Summoning and we'll leave Yuna to decide on what she wants to do, not what Yevon decided for her."
