Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

"...Excuse me...I didn't hear the words punch with all your might...all right then wise guy." Dean said and punched him in the cheek, hard, putting all his strength behind it and a little aid of his Aeon's power, sending Daichi to the ground and skidding along the ground a bit.

"What was that about flooring your ass?" Dean taunted back to him.

 

"Luky-..." Daichi got sent flying suddenly.. he hit the ground and skidded along a bit.
Daichi this time rubbed his cheek.
"Heh... you just asked for it..." Daichi said, grinning ever so slightly. Springing up he charged forwards to deliver a punch to Dean's jaw.
He saw the look on Lukya's face though and stopped his punch an inch from Dean's face...
"...Umm.." he stammered...
"Uh... thanks again." he told Dean.

 

Ryo was a bit surprised at the scene he was looking at but couldn't help but laugh quietly looks like fun Ryo thought to himself with a smile

 

Lukya walked up to him and smiled.

 

Daichi just sort of stared at the floor again...
Sure he was thinking clearer... (after two punches maybe more clearer than even he had intended)
But now facing Lukya, he still didn't know what to say...
Lukya was still Lukya, that's all that mattered... Dean had mentioned the bond they shared, and the future...
It occurred to Daichi that he had never considered what would happen in the future once he helped them defeat Sin. All he knew was right now... he wanted to be able to talk to Lukya again. That's what he really wanted.
He took Lukya's hand with both of his. Took a deep breath, and spoke so everyone would hear him.
"...I have a story."

 

"We're all waiting to hear." Kari said. Rikku smiled and waited, Yuna smiled and wondered what story he would tell. Lukya looked at him.

 

Daichi led Lukya back to the others and sat down with her.
"We've all been through a lot together...
but this is probably one of my most vivid memories... one of the happiest despite that we were also feeling at our lowest that time..."
He looked around at everyone.
"That time in Macalania forest... everyone felt betrayed by Yevon... Someone important wasn't with us... Someone else was going to continue their journey." he looked at Ryo as he said that.
"...Then... how it all suddenly changed.
A young girl set out to show a man her true feelings..." he looked at Kari.
"Someone returned and literally knocked me off of my feet." he gave Lukya's hand a slight squeeze.
"A summoner and her Guardian came back, looking slightly awkward."
"For the first time... I heard someone laugh harder than anything I'd heard of him before." he looked at Dean.
"Then he blushed when one or two people suggested something everyone else knew was true.."
He paused for a second.
"For me... that time was special... everyone grew closer than we probably ever thought we would.
It's also the time I realised something that I hadn't been sure about... something that had been hidden deep inside." he looked down at the floor, then over to the mound where everyone's weapons had been stuck into the ground.
He realised that story had probably made him sound like a big softy, a big sap... but he didn't care.
That was a chapter of his story that he would never ever forget, as long as he lived.

 

Lukya smiled and leaned against him. Kari blushed and smiled, Rikku smiled, Yuna smiled and blushed.

 

Dean wasn't exactly one to fear a incoming punch, especially from a Ronso as then Daichi told them a story as he listened and rubbed his white hair a bit. "...I'll punch you again." He said jokingly and sat upon a rock again, his hand didn't hurt at all since his Aeon within him healed it before it began to hurt.

The sun was setting on the horizon as Tidus got up from his rock and placed a hand on Yuna's shoulder as he climbed up a small hill, overlooking Zanarkand. "Listen to my story...this...may be our last chance." He thought to himself in seriousness and a bit sad as he turned around and hopped off the hill, landing neatly on the ground.

Tidus started to talk about the beginning of his story to everyone, how he played in Zanarkand's Blitzball Stadium, Sin's attack, arriving in Spira and where the journey had truly begun in Besaid, sometimes letting the others put their piece of the story in as night had fallen upon the campsite and Zanarkand. "Wait, what about that time?" He asked and Dean uncrossed his legs. "Perhaps we should stop now, we're just here to rest our strength for a while and head into Zanarkand."

 

Lukya had gotten up and stood by the foot of the hill, then returned to the group. She put her Maester robe over her shoulders and fell asleep. Rikku leaned against Kari and the two of them fell asleep. Yuna closed her eyes and fell asleep.

 

Daichi wasn't that tired...
despite the fact that he probably usually got the least sleep out of everyone in the group.

He got up and walked away from the group slightly.
He found a good vantage point on some rubble and sat down on the edge.
He would keep watch for the night.

 

"so...can't sleep" Ryo said as he noticed Daichi walked near to the area he was. Ryo found it hard to sleep as a lot of things were on his mind

 

"...I rarely do." Daichi responded.
"You too then? ...Can't blame you I suppose. I too know what it's like to have a mind filled with much."

 

Dean climbed up onto the hill and sat down, he'd leave Rikku to sleep with Kari for now as he was cross legged, Tidus already was asleep by then and he lay upon it, hands behind his head, staring at the stars and allowed sleep to take him away into perhaps his dreams or nothing at all.

 

Ryo nodded "I don't know what to expect out there. At first it was just get the aeon and defeat Sin but now its different" Ryo said looking over at Zanarkand with his arms crossed

 

"Nothing is ever as it seems at first. We've all come far enough to realise that now.
...Ryo... After we defeat Sin... after we find a way to end this spiral of death. What will you do? ...I mean the future?" Daichi asked.

 

"I have asked myself that question countless times only for me to discard it. I guess maybe I shouldn't" Ryo said as he looked up at the night sky "I guess maybe try and reclaim the life I threw away. After that maybe go after an very old dream of mine" Ryo said

 

"...That sounds nice.. A dream to follow, and a life to reclaim..
it seems like a good idea to me." he said, also gazing up at the sky.
"I wonder what Yuna will do... What everyone will do.. What I will do." he paused.
"A world without Sin... it's what everyone wants. How such a future will change everyone's lives...
The fact that we're fighting for such a future... that we are all here means something.
I've always been able to read things and people clearly, I'm trying to read the signs now... and I don't know what I see.
All I do know is that I think that we can and will be able to do it."

 

Ryo nodded "not everything can be read. Sometimes its best just to follow what you deem is right...what your heart tells you is right" Ryo said

 

"That's the thing... I still can't hear what my heart tells me... I've got feelings and thoughts I've never felt before.
After 10 years of nothing but me and my desire for revenge... that's how things are... I've never felt these things before, so how can I know what they mean? How can I listen to my heart if I can't understand it? It's all so new to me.
Before... I never thought I'd reach a time or place where I could say such a thing, and yet here I am now.
