Final Fantasy X: Forgotten Answers

"So, we came all for nothing." Rikku said, sighed and lowered her head. "That's just great." "Hold on, it looks like there's a door back there." Kari said, pointing to the weird shape beyond the statue.

 

The old man from before came out from the weirdly shape on the wall. "Ah yes, that Aeon has long since passed but fear not, Lady Yunalesca will provide you with one, please, proceed and learn what must be done to achieve this." He said before vanishing as Dean walked over it and looked at the weird thing.

"You sure you wanna go through that?" Tidus asked him and Dean looked at him. "Better than standing around here." He stepped in as Tidus was about to extend his hand to stop him but then, Dean's hand came out and moved as if beckoning them to enter, he was all right least to say and not in trouble.

 

Yuna walked forward and stepped in, Lukya, Kari, and Rikku followed them.

 

Ryo stepped forward. "I'm not turning back now. I will claim the final Aeon" Ryo said as he walked threw the door into the room

 

"The endless cycle is going to end, that's what we were for." Kari said, slamming her fist into her open palm.

 

"...and we'll end the suffering in Spira. Forever." Daichi said, slamming his fist into his palm like how Kari did.

 

Tidus was surprised. "Pretty rich-like here..." Tidus siad and Dean spoke. "Well, this Yunalesca woman must of been popular or moved in...but where is she if we are to meet her here?" He asked aloud

 

"Zanarkand was said to be beautiful. She must have kept this place tidy all these years" Ryo said.

He was about to say more but stayed quiet as a woman walked into the room and stood ontop of the staircase "Welcome to Zanarkand. I congratulate you, summoners. You have completed your pilgrimage. I will now bestow you with that which you seek. The Final Summoning...will be yours. Now, choose.You must choose the ones whom I will change...to become the fayth of the Final Summoning." the woman named Yunalesca said walking down the stairs

Ryo was stunned "wh-what the" Ryo said

"There must be a bond, between chosen and summoner, for that is what the Final Summoning embodies: the bond between husband and wife, mother and child, or between friends. If that bond is strong enough, its light will conquer Sin. A thousand years ago, I chose my husband Zaon as my fayth. Our bond was true, and I obtained the Final Aeon. There is nothing to fear. You will soon be freed of worry and pain. For once you call forth the Final Aeon, your life will end. Death is the ultimate and final liberation.Braska and many other summoners chose this path" Yunalesca said and disappeared

"I-I have to sacrifice somebody? important" Ryo said and looked over at Kari

 

Yuna gasped and looked at Tidus, Kari took a step forward and looked at Ryo. Lukya ran to her and grabbed her hand. "No, Kari! Don't become the Final Aeon! You're too important to us!!!!!!!" Kari smiled and pulled Lukya into a strong hug. "I know, little princess. But there's no other way..........."

 

Daichi stood in front of Kari, arms crossed. He didn't say a word, he just let his presence do the speaking. He looked her strong in the face.
Also... if Ryo even considered for it for just a second. Daichi would whole-heartedly kill him where he stood.

 

"your not turning into the final aeon" Ryo yelled the moment he heard that

 

"Have you forgotten what we are for, anyway, Kari?!" Rikku shouted, Kari stood where she was, her arms around Lukya, thinking about the journey she had taken. She sighed, "What do you guys suggest I do?"

 

"...You were the one who talked about ending the spiral of death probably most out of us all...
How do you think sacrificing yourself will accomplish that? If anything... everything you've said... to Yuna and Ryo... would be entirely hypocritical if you try and go through this now.."

 

"Team Besaid won't be the same without you, Kari." Lukya said, holding her tightly and crying into her. Kari gasped and smiled, holding Lukya close. "Don't you worry, little princess. I'll be alright."

 

"You will be... because... we as your friends... as Team Besaid... cannot just let you do this... we won't. We won't lose anyone else. If we want to end this spiral of death, that is how it must be." Daichi said, putting a hand on Kari's shoulder.

 

"...No-one's becoming the the Final Aeon." Dean said firmly and Tidus looked at him. "You heard her though, that's the only way to beat Sin!" he said as Dean turned around, staring at all of them. "...You're an idiot." He said and Tidus blinked. "What did you mean by that!?"

"We're here to end the the goddamn cycle, did you all forget that!?" Dean said very firmly and loudly. "I don't care if you think it's impossible or the only way out but I'm not giving up, hell, I'll go and personally tell Yunalesca to go and rot away for even mentioning words of sacrifice." Dean said and proceeded going up the stairs, not stopping. "I'm not going to let anyone be used for the greater good when people are sacrificed by that option, if you want to stop me." He turned on some steps. "Then try your best cause I'm not gonna change my mind."

 

Daichi walked up to Dean.
"I'm going with you."

 

Kari smiled and let go of Lukya, she looked at everyone. "I have a plan. Just wait." Yuna walked to Lukya and put a hand on her shoulder, Kari walked up the stairs and walked out onto the platform. She looked around and shouted, "Lady Yunalesca! I have made my decision."

 

"...I'm not waiting." Dean said and proceeded in as the others followed.

 

Ryo clenched his fist tightly "all that time I fought alone and in the end I have to sacrifice somebody" Ryo said but suddenly before everybody could leave the room the young Auron, Jecht and Braska appeared before them

"It is not too late! Let us turn back!" Young Auron said

Braska
"If I turn back, who will defeat Sin? Would you have some other summoner and his guardians go through this?" Braska said

"But...my lord, there must be another way!" Auron said

"This is the only way we got now! Fine. Make me the fayth. I've been doing some thinking. My dream is back in the other Zanarkand. I wanted to make that runt into a star blitz player. Show him the view from the top, you know. But now I know there's no way home for me. I'm never going to see him again. My dream's never gonna come true. So make me the fayth. I'll fight Sin with you, Braska. Then maybe my life will have meaning, you know." Jecht said


"Don't do this, Jecht! If you live... there may be another way! We'll think of something, I know!" young Auron said


"Believe me, I thought this through. Besides... I ain't gettin' any younger, so I might as well make myself useful." Jecht said

"Jecht." Braska said

"What! You're not gonna try to stop me, too?" Jecht said

"Sorry. I mean...thank you." Braska said

"Braska still has to fight Sin, Auron. Guard him well. Make sure he gets there. Well, let's go."
Jecht said and with that Braska and Jecht began to walk away

"Lord Braska! Jecht!" Auron said stopping them

"What do you want now?" Jecht said

"Sin always comes back. It comes back after the Calm every time! The cycle will continue and your deaths will mean nothing!" Auron said

"But there's always a chance it won't come back this time. It's worth trying." Braska said

"I understand what you're saying, Auron. I'll find a way to break the cycle." Jecht said

"You have a plan?" Auron asked

"Jecht?" Braska said

"Trust me, I'll think of something." Jecht said and laughed

Braska and Jecht disappeared leaving the young Auron on his knees. Auron walked up to his young self and took out his sword and began slashing his youngerself but failed as the sword went threw him "and so the cycle continued"
