It was my goal to get repped by every staff member.
RvR was the last one.
When he finally repped me, I got excited, threw a party, got drunk, and did some stuff worth derepping.

I don't think talking about rep is a big deal now since it's not really used for anything now.

 

xD I did that too, strangely enough there was a LOL chromosome. Looked a bit like a lolface... I didn't question it.

 

I had my second "rep green jewel" just a few days ago. And i joined in January.

 

The reason the "don't talk about the fight club rep" rule was put in place was because it would lead to threads where people would be like "OH man, just got derepped" or "just two points away from my next gem," things like that. The fear was that that would lead people visiting the thread to rep the thread poster to make up for lost points/push them to the next gem, things like that.

Of course that backfired on us because then extreme repwhoring MSN convos would go about, haha.

Since rep doesn't really count for anything these days (as Bueno said) I don't consider it that strict of a rule, of course that doesn't mean I won't lock/delete the "plz.rep.me.5eva" threads or that abusing the rep system is a good plan.

Anyway, my last rep was from mixt, which brought me exactly to 5000. :'D Thanks for the new rep gem~

 

Woah, 5000. I don't understand when you get a rep crystal any more O.o It was simple until you reach 500 rep.

 

Really? I now feel important in some odd and notably arbitrary way.

 

When I had 4099 points, I was like "ONE POINT AWAY FROM 5000! HELL YES"
When someone repped me, I couldn't figure out why I only had 41somethingsomething.
Then I felt stupid lol

 

Wow I remember that, those were some really turbulent times...

Hmm, what does a grey Rep crystal mean? I mean under someones profile?

 

It increases with each title you get.
-100: User fails at social skills.
-50: User is blissfully ignorant.
-10: User needs to think of others.
0: User's future has not been written yet.
10: User is starting to make an impact.
50: User is rising the ranks.
150: User has that unique charm.
250: User knows what they're talking about.
350: User is fun to have at parties.
450: User is socially entertaining.
550: User is a KH-Vids fanatic.
650: User is super special awesome.
1000: User is destined for ballads.
1500: User is an undeniable friend to many.
2000: User is a forum legend.
5000: User is an Omni Ultra Epic Individual.
6000: User is flying top gun.

It is pretty difficult to remember, haha. I still have to check everytime.

I have done that sooo many times. xD

It either denotes no rep (as in no one has repped them or deprepped them), or if it's a very dark gray, almost black, they've disabled rep.

 

Sometimes I think people are too lazy to give out rep sometimes, hell I've wanted to give some rep to some people but forgot to!
