Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
But if i had to perish twice
I think i know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
is also great
and would suffice

I'd prefer ice, it'd be like falling asleep, except with the minor detail that I wouldn't wake up...0.o, actually, can I choose neither?

EDIT: I will use the fire in my heart to burn the ice in my soul because I know that desire is something that can only be wished for and that would suffice.

 

I don't hate now that I know where it's from. It's a good poem. Not a masterpiece but good.

 

Not the poem, just the author who thought putting a good poem in her series would make her series good.

 

It actually went very well with the theme for the third novel :v
