Well, that is what you get for playing the XBox version.

 

Suddenly it's working again. All I did was dis/reconnect the Power Supply and it worked.
Not sure if I trust it to continue.

 

Maybe it went red because you've been playing the **** out of it lately and all it needed was some rest?

 

A possibility, though unlikely. I played the **** out of it for two years without problem, and nowadays I don't play it that much.
It was only on an hour before dying.

The exception does not override the rule. Microsoft hardware is the least reliable of the big three.

I've had no problems with my Xbox or Kinect what-so-ever, while I've had many problems with Sony than anyone else. Went through 3 PS2's because of how easily they broke (What? drop a few inches? Sucks to be you. Also, Disc-Read Error much).

This. Being able to tell a character what to do in a second, as well as switching weaponry, is brilliant. Don't get me wrong, I'm not by any means lazy, but its convenient, and not at all forced upon the player.
