First Fall of Crimson Snow

Elsie nodded her head and pulled out another first aid kit from under the bed. She set it by Alyssia and flipped it open, looking for the things she would need to use. Then she began to take care of Alyssia's wound, pulling out the bullet first. "It wasn't planted in that deep," Elsie said, smiling softly as she set the bullet on a piece of cloth and then started to quickly treat it before more blood came out of the wound. "What about you two? What's your powers?"

Kendra looked over at Elsie, realizing that she was talking to her. "Oh... well, I can control water to a certain extent... That's it for now." Kendra let out a breath of air escape from her nose as she looked back down. Even here she didn't feel like she was safe. Her wings were still pressed against her back under her shirt, but she didn't feel like bringing them out. They were aching and rather damp from the rain, but she didn't care. Kendra didn't want anyone gawking at them at the moment.

Shelby came to the door which led into the office of Leon Noctis, not to thrilled with the report she would have to give him. Sure, everything was in order now. The rest of the mutants were under lock and key, but there were others that had escaped. Shelby changed her mind about heading after the others, because she figured that the Stealth Squad would take care of it themselves. But then she recieved a message from Clay not too long ago that he had a bit of trouble taking on a group of them at once, and he ran into a rebel as well. 'Boys, always thinking they can take things on themselves...'

Clay's targets escaped. This was unacceptable.

But Shelby wasn't the judge of that. It was up to the higher rank officers to decide what was to be done. She stood in front of the door, raising a hand up and knocked on it lightly.

 

"energy manipulation" Seth said calmly replying to her question, not even opening his eyes as he sat there. He could have just given her an example of his powers by creating a sword out of thin air but he decided not to. He just didn't want to go around wasting his energy just to show off.

 

OOC: *totally forgot what Leon's colour was*

BIC: Hearing a knock upon his office door, Leon put down his book and drink before calling out to the knocker. "Enter", he said with his high class sounding accent. He was waiting for a report from the operative he sent out personally, but he didn't expect a report from other soldiers so soon.

 

Elsie finished wrapping Alyssia's arm, and then shut the first aid kit. Everyone who was injured was fixed up, that was good. And now she knew what everyone was capable of and how they could protect themselves with their powers. Elsie stood up and smiled at everyone, hiding her own exhaustion. "Do you guys need anything? Water, food...? Stuff like that?"

Kendra just shook her head, not really wanting anything. She sat more on the cot, getting into a comfy position. Even though she told herself she wouldn't bring her wings out in front of everyone, she figured in her mind she had nothing to fear. Elsie was trustworthy, and everyone else had something unique about them. Through the thin slits of her shirt, Kendra unfurled her wings, letting them stretch out to full length. 'Much better...'

'Here we go...' Shelby opened the door, and entered on command. She was nervous, but she kept that hidden through her stone-like face. She was just here to report, that was all. She saluted her high officer to show respect, then she lowered her hand back to her side, waiting for him to give her the order to report. 'Never speak unless spoken to...'

 

Leon watched as a clearly nervous girl walked in and saluted him. He saluted back as a commander would. "I assume you have a progress report for me?" he asked as he stood up from his seat near the book shelves and moved over to his seat behind his desk. He carried his drink with him and placed it next to the bottle it came from on his desk.

 

Kendra saw Scott move towards her from the corner of her eye and looked over at him. He seemed amazed by them... But then again, so did other people who saw her wings before. "They lay against my back when I want them to. Fly? I tried to... once or twice. Almost sucessful." The girl's wings raised up slightly then fell back in place under Scott's eyes. Kendra then looked down, pulling her legs up to her chest. She would keep them out to let them dry, and then bring them back under her shirt. But then again... it felt good to have them out in the open.

"Yes sir. Private Clay Collins has lost his targets: Five mutant children. He also reported that a rebel appeared to help the mutants, and retreated. Private Luke Ronan is currently engaged in combat with one of the mutants. The other soldiers are still searching for the others." Shelby was done with her report. It wasn't so bad to deliver it, but she wondered what would come out of it.

OOC: Grah, I suck at being the bad guy. XDX Oh, just one thing guys, I'll be heading out of town tomorrow afternoon and will be back late on Tuesday for a silly orthadontist appointment. >> Bleh.

 

Having heard the report, Leon remained silent for a moment before speaking. "Very well, keep me posted on the progress of the Privates", he ordered. "I didn't think two soldiers would be capable of handling a group of them anyway, at least we should have received sufficient data on the combat experience of the targets and a closer step to the location of the rebel base", he said as he began to think aloud. After realising he was beginning to ramble he cut himself off, "In any case, keep me posted on any news about Private Ronan's engagement with the mutant."

 

Alyssia smiled at Elsie and muttered a "thank you" once she had finished with her wound. She turned her attention towards Kendra, seeing her wings just spread out. "That's amazing," she quietly said before blinking several times and looking away. She laid down on the cot, listening to what both Scott and Kendra talked about, but soon let her own mind wander.

OOC: I won't be on so much these next two or three days. << Several things need my attention here at home so I won't be so active until probably Wednesday or so.

 

"So..." Kendra looked up at Scott, seeing that he was suddenly falling on the awkward side of things. She smiled a bit, trying to quickly come up with something. "What do you... like to do?" It was a silly question, especially during these times. But at least she was trying to start a conversation.

Elsie smiled to herself, happy that the kids were starting to relax now. She then looked back over at Alyssia, seeing that she was lost in thought. "Hey... can I get you anything? A drink? Food? A blanket maybe?"

"Yes sir. I'll be sure to keep you posted." Shelby took this as her cue to leave, and turned around. Leon wasn't upset, that was good. He was a level headed leader, and a good one at that. Shelby then stepped out of the room and closed the door behind her, leaving Leon to think over what Shelby just reported.

OOC: I think the only ones that will post a lot are the ones that are not in our character loop right now. XD

 

Alyssia looked up at Elsie before sitting up and faintly smiling. "A drink would be nice, along with a blanket..." she said, lightly placing her hands on her lap. She looked around the room once more before looking back at Elsie. "For how long have you been a part of the Peaceful Warriors?"

OOC: Short because...eh. DX

 

Seth opened his eyes and looked over at Alyssia and Elsie. The topic of peace warriors interested him. He wanted to know more about them, what they have done or plan to do. If it involved taking down the R.N.A he sure enough would wouldn't mind joinging their cause

Kendra couldn't help but to grin a little. "So if I'm a girl, that automatically makes me the discission maker? What if I was a tomboy, hm? And what was the saying that girls make horrible disicions...?" Kendra started finding herself starting to forget what happened earlier. She even forgot about the wound on her arm, and was lost in the conversation with Scott.

Elsie smiled and then walked over to the same cabnet she went to earlier, opening it to pull out a warm blanket. "How long? Um... since I was ten, so that makes it about five years." Elsie collected the blanket from off the shelf and then walked over to Alyssia and handed it to her gently. "They don't usually let me fight, but I go against the rules anyways. We're always busy, so I kind of have to get into the action." The girl then made her way over to a bucket that was in the corner and then siezed a cup that was by it. This was purified water, since they didn't have plumbing. They did have a generater though that ran the electricity in the place.

Elsie filled the cup up with the clean water and then walked back over to Alyssia, handing it to her. "I'm mainly the herb collector and the scout here. I know a little first aid though, and a few others things... but those two things are mostly my job."

 

Alyssia wrapped the blanket around her, keeping it over her shoulders and took the cup of water. She was thirsty from all the running they had done and quickly drank the water, soon pulling it away from her mouth. She felt her thirst beginning to become quenched. She quietly sighed and kept her eyes on Elsie. "So you've been doing all of this for a while, huh?" she asked. "I'm glad you showed up though. I think some of us would have been dead by now if you didn't, so thank you."

 

Vaughn shook his head and stood up. He looked at the sleeping girl once more. He sighed tiredly but sleep was far from his mind. "I'll be right back..." He mumbled to the air. Pulling his coat tighter, the male walked out side. The rain was drenching him from head to toe. "Why dos it always have to rain....?" He asked aloud.
