First Fall of Crimson Snow

"Oops..." Elsie muttered under her breath. She didn't mean to run off without telling anybody, but sometimes that part just slipped her mind. "Sorry... it won't happen again." Elsie hunched her shoulders sheepishly, looking down since she couldn't look Drake straight in the eyes. She hated to mess up, even if it was just a little thing. And she couldn't think of anything else to say to make up for it.

Drake sighed and suddenly ruffled her hair "its all right, as long as your ok thats good enough. Heck you found those kids and managed to bring them here safe and sound. Im proud of you, but next time at least inform us or else. After all if there is a next time, don't expect me to be as nice as I am right now" Drake said with a kind smile

 

Vaughn frowned as he looked at the girl. He sighed heaviy and turned away. "I'm...sorry for your loss..." He mumbled quietly. The male didn't know what else to say, but that, and he wasn't even sure if he should have said that. "Soo...tat's how the R.N.A got you?" He simply asked aloud, not really meaning for it to get answered.

 

She looked at the boy.

"Yes.

They came for me when I was five.

The last thing I heard was my father's dying screams..."

She trailed off for a moment.

"I have been living alone in the forest ever since..."

 

Vaugh csd hi es de geaily. He hatd the fact that she had to lose somene close to her while he was mearily paid for. Granted his parents refuseded, it was him who told them he would go. The male sighed again and looked away. "..." Vaughn stood up and reachd othis hand for hers. "Let's go fo a walk." He simply said.

 

Sinder took his hand and stood up.

"Ok.

But can we go outside?

Do you think its safe out there?"

She looked at him with concern for their safety.

 

Vaughn shrugged. "I think so...and ifhey decidd to come ater us Il get them with my lihtng." He said winking at her to try and cheer her up. The male smiled as the rain came donw on him for the second time that day. "It feels so refreashing." He said to himslf.

 

Sinder giggled when he winked at her.

He made her feel better.

She let out a shiver as the rain hit her skin.

"It feels good," she smiled at him.

 

Vaughn cuckled and nodded. "It really does." He siled and picked her up around her waist andspun round. He lughed as he felt himself grow dizzy slightly. He hadn't been in the opn, much less happy lik this, in a while, and it felt pretty good.

 

Sinder blushed slightly as he wrapped his arms around her.

But was taken by surpirse as he lifted her up in the air and started spinning.

She soon found herself laughing with him.

It felt good to be with someone for once.

 

Vaughn laughed as he stopped spinning and stumbled backars falling ove with Sinder on top of him. "Ahh! I-I'm sorry!" He said as he sat up with Sinder in his lap. "I-I didn't mean to fall...."

 

She soon found herself on Vaughn's lap.

Sinder smiled and giggled.

"It's ok silly.

I'm used to falling."

She gave him a friendly smile.

 

Elsie suddenly grinned as she looked up at Drake, her eyes sparkling with determination. "Yes sir! It won't happen again!" Then Elsie suddenly remembered something else and then turned back towards the others. "Oh yeah! Forgot to introduce my friend. Guys, this is Drake. Okay, I think intros are out of the way now."

Kendra waved a bit at Drake, suddenly feeling a bit shy. "Hello..." Then she looked over at Scott. 'He suddenly became quiet...' Kendra figured that he wasn't a people person... but then again, why was he talking to her? Did he like only certain people?

 

Alyssia watched the conversation between Elsie and Drake, soon laughing a little at the way Elsie had introduced Drake to them. "Hello," she muttered, a faint smile crossing her lips. She turned her attention away, suddenly feeling a little shy. She stared down at the ground, wondering if anyone else from the same group would show up.

 

Seth looked over at Drake "hey" Seth simply said, to tired to say anything else to the man before him. he looks like a pretty experienced guy Seth thought to himself

"well its a pleasure to meet you all. I'm glad you all managed to escape the camp with your lives. Your safe here so just rest and relax yourself. Don't hesitate to ask for something, but please be reasonable" Drake said with a smile

Seth sighed and laid down on his cot closing his eyes, finally able to get some well deserved rest

 

"Yeah, no asking for gallons of ice cream, cause for one thing, we don't have it." Elsie was grinning now, her childish side showing for a bit. Sometimes it seemed like she grew up too fast. But with war, children sometimes have to grow up faster than before. "We'll let you guys sleep now. Unless anyone needs anything else?"

Kendra looked up at Scott, a bit surprised. "Um... yeah. Enjoy your walk then..." Kendra then folded in her wings and laid down on the cot. It was much more comfortable compared to the ones back at the camp. Even though Kendra was tired... she didn't know if she could fall asleep. So many things had happened, her mind was still trying to catch up to the point where she could relax and sleep.

 

Vauhgn chuckled and blushed. "That's good....." He mumbled and looked away. He closed his eyes. A smile was visible on his lips. "It's really nice out today....."
