First Fall of Crimson Snow

Sinder smiled at the boy.

"Yeah.

It's really pretty when it rains."

She leaned back on him a little.

 

Vaughn gasped when she leaned back into him. "Y-yeah..." His blushed deepened as he looked away. He closed his eyes slowly, and wrppaed his arms around her. "Really nice...."

 

Sinder's face turned crimson as Vaughn wrapped his arms around her.

"I've always loved how the rain made the forest so beautiful."

She tried to keep the conversation going so there wouldn't be an akward silence.

 

Vaughn nodded and sighed a he did so. "Yep... I always found i ather peace wen it ine. nd noonly that bt it was easiert ove in the ran during theday tim cause peope were always inside." He commented loud. Themale sighed again. "But then I was always old at night cause I didn't have anything to change into."

 

"Aww I'm sorry that you were cold," Sinder said to him.

Then she closed her eyes and nuzzled him gently.

 

Vaughn looked down at her and smiled. "I-it wasn't your fault. Running comes with a price." He smiled more and tightn his hold. The male reasted his chin on her head. "But I'm much warmer now." He smiled.

 

Alyssia shook her head at Elsie, indicating she didn't need anything else. She laid herself down on the cot. She felt her body completely relax from how comfortable she actually felt. So much more better than the ones in the camps. Alyssia turned over on her side, looking at her bandaged wound. She narrowed her eyes and quietly sighed. I can only hope tomorrow goes better.

 

Sinder smiled as Vaughn tightened his grip and laid his chin on her head.

"Well it's good that you're warmer."

She laid back on him more.

 

Vaughn chuckled some. "Now that question is; are YOU warmer?" He said looking at her. He smiled wide chuckling some more.

 

Sinder giggled a little and smiled wide.

"Yeah, I'm a lot warmer than earlier."

She looked up at him and smiled more.

 

Even though she didn't feel like sleeping right away, Kendra closed her eyes anyways. She would let sleep come to her when it felt like taking over her. For now, she would let her mind wandering and think about what happened that day.

Seeing that mostly everyone was settled in, except Scott, Elsie switched off the lights and smiled. "Night everyone." Elsie then walked outside and left the door open so Drake could leave. As soon as she was outside, she took in a deep breath and stretched out. The crickets were chirping, the air smelled like rain still, and it was a bit chilly. Just the way Elsie liked it. She then looked around, trying to figure out where Scott went. "I wonder what he's doing..."

 

Vauhgn smiled and nodded. "That's good to hear." He smiled more and sighed contently. His growled some and sighed. "I'm still hungery..." He grumbled to himself. He gently took Sinder off his lap and stood up.

 

Sinder stayed sitting down and looked at Vaughn.

After a few moments her gaze turned to the ground.

Then a thought came into her mind and she looked back at the boy.

"Do you want to go to a restaurant?"

 

Vaughn made a face of suprise. "Ummm...Is it safe...to go into town?" He asked a bit hesitant. He finally smiled and nodded. "Yes...that'd be nice." He chuckled and hed a hand out to her.

 

Sinder took his hand and stood up.

"There is a little restaurant on the edge of town that has really good food.

Only the citizens and I know the location of it.

The soldiers know nothing of it."

She smiled at him.

"And I can turn us invisible so no one can see us go to the town.

I can make us visible outside the city when no one is around so we can get in easily.

I just have to make some preparations before we go ok?"

 

Vauhgn smiled. "Ok." He nodded and walked back inside. "How long will it take you to get ready?" He asked out loud. The male sat on the bed to relax.

 

"About two minutes, not that long," she said as she went to a cupboard.

Sinder grabbed a container that had hazel contacts for her eyes.

"I have to make sure that the humans don't see that I'm a mutant so I have to put in these colored contacts so they don't see my purple eyes."

The words left her mouth as she placed the contacts in.

Then she made sure that her pants were covering her whole legs and that her boots were nice and tight.

After that she grabbed a long trenchcoat and stood by the doorway.

"I always have a coat to hide my wings," she said as she put the coat on and hid her wings in it.

"Ready?" she asked, putting a hand out towards him.

 

"Taking a look around?" a voice quetioned behind Scott. Elsie was standing there, smiling slightly. She walked over to stand next to Scott and looked where he was looking. "You know... if you're trying to explore the place, you should probably wait till morning to see it. I mean, it's kind of hard to seee in the dark. Unless you have night vision or something on those lines."
