Rowan watched the girl a bit longer, letting the last words the girl spoke to her set in her mind. "We'll see about that..." Rowan wrapped the empty syringe in a cloth and set it back in her backpack. She then stood up and looked up at the sky, letting the tiny raindrops splash on her face. Morning was starting to peek through the clouds, making them a light purple. "If we weren't in the situation we're in now, I would say, "Those are some pretty clouds.'"

The woman broke her gaze from the morning sky and hoisted the backpack straps over her shoulders. She then turned to Scott and Fay, looking in between them. Rowan was tired, and her mind was a bit slugglish. But they had to finish things up before she could easily fall asleep. Her eyes finally rested on Scott. "Do you have enough energry to get the roots off of this girl?"

Kendra didn't go into the room where everyone else was. Instead, she was sitting on a couch by the front window with a blanket wrapped around her tightly. Her wings were still wet, but she kept them in against her back. She didn't want them out. Her mind still raced with the idea that she was face to face with the murderer. But instead of doing something about it, she just stood there and stared at her. Something held her back from doing anything. But why? That girl killed her only family she had left. Shouldn't she end the life of the murder to avenge the innocent blood that was spilt? But her mother taught her that people have a reason to do what they do. Confused by her own thoughts, Kendra burried her face into her knees that were already brought close to her chest. She was too tired, too tired to think.

After behing dismissed by Shelby, Clay wandered out into the hallway and closed the door behind her. Shelby told him to get his wound fixed up, so that's what he was going to do. He turned down the hallway and started to walk in the direction of the infirmary, but he noticed his steps felt odd. Like his feet were like lead. He was still oozing blood from his shoulder, but he kept walking on. All the color was drained from his face, and he continued to bleed. Did anyone care? No. He was just another dog fighting for it's master after all. Just like everyone else. As people passed him, they didn't even take a glance at him. They ignored him. If he was to die, he figured no one would really care.

Scott stopped for a moment, keeping his back towards the others. He flicked his left wrist causing the roots to pull away from Ren. He hunched forward somewhat and continued walking, not saying a word.

Luke walked by Clay, having just come from the infirmary himself. He stopped but kept from turning towards his commrade. "Hurry and get yourself fixed up. You don't want to let those kids get away when they've left us with these little parting gifts, now do you?" Luke looked down at his bandaged hand and grinned. "Who cares if they have the advantage of numbers? We'll just push them until they can't take it anymore."

"Thank you," was all Rowan had to say for Scott. Picking up the girl in her arms, Rowan started to carry her back to the cabin. "Come on, Fay. Let's put this girl in our mini dention facilaty in the basement. If she means what she says, then maybe she really didn't want to be on the RNA, but we can't be too sure. We'll have to keep her locked up for now."

Kendra had laid down on the couch a few minutes ago, getting tired of sitting up. Sleep was starting to claim her, but her mind was still abuzzed. The blanket was wrapped around her whole body and head snuggly. Only her face was sticking out of the mass of blanket, but even then it was shadowed. In Kendra's half-sleep mind, she heard footsteps coming towards the cabin. She didn't need to look to know who it was... It was Scott. But hearing his footsteps, it reminded her of something precious. Those times when her father came home, and she would wait and wait for him by the front door. He could never sneak up to their home. Kendra always heard him, because he had such a heavy footstep. Scott's was lighter, but it was similar.

A choked sob suddenly escaped from Kendra. Now the emotions of homesickness and wishing for things to be different finally reached the center of her heart and stabbed it. As soon as she heard herself almost cry out loud, she pushed her mouth towards the couch and pulled the blanket more over her head. She could feel the hot tears leak out of her eyes and trail down her cheeks. 'Don't cry...' she thought. 'I don't want anyone to see me cry... They can see me when I'm sad, but not when I cry.' Kendra rubbed the tears away from her eyes and then forced herself to quit it. She could feel her emotions being shut up within herself. It was painful, but to her, it was worth it. Besides, others would tell her that other people were worse off than her. That may be true, but it wasn't the comfort that Kendra was looking for. Kendra pulled her mouth away from the couch and turned her head to face the room, but she kept her face hidden under blanket... just in case.

Clay glanced sideways at Luke as he walked towards the infirmary doors. "We lost them, how are we going to find them again? The rain covered their tracks." Without waiting for Luke's answer, he walked inside the room. He needed to be treated. Either Luke would wait for him outside, or follow him. Or just leave... depending how he interrupted Clay's little statement.

Scott stopped right in front of the cabin, turning his head towards it when he reached the front door. He breathed out quietly as he contemplated over going inside. Kendra must still be inside... He wasn't sure whether or not to attempt to speak to her as the last time he tried she had went off on him over his recent actions. Scott sighed and reached a hand out towards the door and pulled it open slowly before walking inside and shutting it almost silently behind him. His eyes searched the inside for any signs of Kendra and his eyes caught a glimpse of something from within the room. A mess of blankets on a couch that seemed to have a lump underneath, one he figured to be Kendra.

Scott walked slowly over towards the couch and knelt down in front of it, lightly pulling at the covers. "Kendra...?" He quietly spoke out towards her.

"This is our job, we'll find them again." Luke crossed his arms and watched as Clay walked away, deciding to wait for him to get "patched up" before dragging him along to track the kids down for some well deserved revenge.

"I have a name, boy," Fay quietly muttered after hearing Scott. She watched Rowan pick up Ren and soon followed her silently. For a moment, she stopped walking and looked around the area. Her eyes darted back and forth as she crossed her arms. "Nobody followed her," she murmured, tapping her finger against her arm. Her eyes narrowed and she turned away, following Rowan once more.

Rowan smiled tiredly. "I highly doubt that... I only saw two of them. They were boys. And they were having trouble seeing things anyways." Rowan looked up at the sky, smiling quietly. "I think someone is watching over us... the rain was on our side tonight... It doesn't mean we're going to have an easy road ahead, but this proves what we're doing is right. We just need to keep at it..." Rowan chuckled nervously as she comprehend what she said. "Sorry, another one of those wise moments again... You get those often when you're the one in charge..." Rowan huffed out and then walked through the open door. She didn't even bother to look over at Scott and Kendra. 'Let them work things out...' She looked at Fay to give her the unspoken message, and walked into the hallway. There was another hidden door within the hallway, and Rowan nudged on it at the right place. The wood pulled apart and revealed a passage way with cement stairs that lead downward. The air was damp and cool, but Rowan knew it wasn't going to be unbearable for the RNA girl they captured. She flipped on a switch that was by the doorway, and the stairway was lighted. Adjusting to the sudden light, Rowan blinked a few times before decending down the stairs. She then yawned. "Man... this is my first time in six years that I went through a whole night without sleep... guess we were really slacking then."

Kendra's heart dropped. It looked like she was discovered. She kept her eyes looking downward, not wanting to see Scott's eyes. She knew if she looked up, it would only confrim to him what was on her mind, and maybe a bit more. She swallowed, trying to hold back from sniveling like she did earlier. "Hello," she said in a hushed tone, her voice cracking a little. She didn't want to talk. It would just result in crying all over again.

A few moments later, Clay came out of the nurse's office. His shoulder was bandaged, and he was ready to go. He looked up at Luke, his eyes blank. They've always been like that though.

OOC: So after everyone gets settled, would you peoples like to time skip to later when everyone is awake and has energry?

She must really miss her family...It's only natural... Scott slid an arm underneath Kendra and pulled her closer against him so that she would hear him when he whispered. "It's alright to grieve you know. You don't have to fake being so strong when it's something you need to do." He said a barely audible tone. "Just...don't be so ashamed of it."

Luke flashed a smile when Clay appeared before turning around and beginning to lead the way. "We'll just need some supplies...and then that'll be it." He plainly spoke, clasping his hands behind his back as he walked.

Kendra's eyes widened as she suddenly found herself close to Scott. She kept still, listened to his words. He was just trying to help. 'Shouldn't you finally let him in, Kendra?' a small voice asked her within her mind. The depression couldn't be held back any longer. She closed her eyes tightly as the tears flowed as she begain to cry softly. She tried to stifle it. She didn't want anyone else to hear. But with the little bit she let out, it felt... almost relieving. She let the tears run, she didn't bother to wipe them away. Coming up with words to say, Kendra stopped her emotional release for just a moment. She wanted to talk. With shivering shoulders, she formed her words carefully. "I just feels like... They've been gone for a while now. I feel like... I should get over it. But it feels like... I can't..." The tears came back, and Kendra had to stop talking. She pushed the palms of her hands against her eyes as her shoulders quaked.

Fay's eyes momentarily hovered over to Scott and Kendra before seeing Rowan's jesters. The young woman rolled her eyes and continued to follow Rowan, soon ignoring the two mutant children. A smile crossed her lips upon hearing her higher up's words. "Well, for now let's just hope nothing else happens and the rain continues," Fay smirked, a playful tone in her voice when she said the last part. She shut her eyes when the light was suddenly turned on, but soon opened them slowly so they could adjust. "I think whenever morning comes, we'll all be asleep."

Alyssia threw away anything disposable she had used to clean up Elsie. She brushed her hands together and looked around the room they were in. "I hope we can stay here longer," she quietly muttered. She was tired, but she didn't feel like she would be able to sleep. She walked towards the door they had come from. When she opened it and walked through, she saw Scott and Kendra, suddenly feeling like she came into the room at the wrong time. Her eyes softened when she heard Kendra crying. "Is...everything okay?"

"You just have to continue onwards for them." Scott quietly spoke, lowering his head down to watch Kendra. He opened his mouth to speak when he heard someone else's voice. He turned his head and motioned with his free hand for Alyssia to "shoo". He could take care of things, or at least, he wanted to be the one to do it. I just wish I had something to compare this too. I've had no real family, just a man and a woman who treated me like an experiment. He breathed out deeply and pulled Kendra in closer, going silent as he simply let her cry. What to say...

"They aren't exactly the killing type. That's to our advantage. Maybe they strung her up on a tree or something." Luke shrugged slightly and stopped walking.

Hearing a small voice, Kendra looked up from her hands and turned towards the voice. There was one of them... Alyssia. Looking and comparing herself with these kids made her think that she was no different from them. They had hard situations as well, their own challenges. She wasn't completely alone in her problem. She forced a smile and swiped some tears away as she started to calm down now. "Yeah... everything is okay. Just a little outburst, that's all." Kendra sniffed, feeling so much better from earlier. Sure, it was a bit nerve racking that the enemy was in their basement... but now she thought about it, something was off about her. She wasn't like the others.

A yawn came from Kendra as she stretched impulsively in Scott's arms. Her eyes trailed to the window and she smiled softly. "It's morning..." The sun had broke from the clouds for a bit, shining down on the patch of santuary around the cabin.

"Possibly...." Seeing that his commander stopped, Clay stopped walking and stood right by Luke, wondering what was going to happen next. He didn't ask questions, he kept silent.

Rowan threw her head back and laughed at that. "Fay, it's already morning. The sun was just barely coming up when we went inside... And here we are... still awake."

After going down a wavering passageway, Rowan made it to the cell blocks. It was kept clean, there was a bed, but no windows. Rowan pressed her hand on a pad that was close to the cage and the iron bars opened. Rowan walked in with the girl and set her on the bed. Rowan figured she didn't need to be tied up. The cell bars had a power that made the bars run with electricity. So if anyone touched it, or try to get their hands pass the bars, it would shock them. Rowan, letting her soft side get to her, put a blanket over the girl and then walked out without taking a second look at her. As soon as Rowan stepped out of the cell, the doors closed and the cell's electricity walls were activated. Rowan sighed, and then looked over to Fay. Dark circles were starting to form under her eyes, giving Fay a sign that Rowan was exhausted beyond belief. "Alright, time for bed... She shouldn't be able to wake up until this afternoon..."

Drake sat at a desk that held all sorts of gadgets and tools. In his right hand was the controller that was used to control the wire they had taken and on top of the desk was the ball of wire. "the RNA weapons are pretty deadly but at the same time they are interesting" Drake said as he leaned back on his chair and raised his right arm up and stared at the controller "maybe I should try tampering with it. Although Rowan might kill me for working on it without her" Drake muttered quietly to himself. Drake was in charge of the weaponry of the Peaceful Warriors, having a vast knowledge of different kinds of weapons

OOC: I added that Drake has skill with weaponry. I hope this is ok with you guys

"A sleepless night, eh?" Scott sighed out and watched as the room was partially lit by the sunlight before returning his attention back towards Kendra. "Would you want some sleep or do you prefer to go outside right now?" He asked her, poking her nose lightly with his index finger. It does look rather nice outside. He smiled slightly, glad that things had calmed down a great deal...and that it wasn't raining anymore. Glad nobody caught a Cold.

"Let's just get our stuff and get out of here then." Luke said before going silent, heading towards...the place where they could get their stuff.

OOC: XD I dunno what else to put.

Fay lowered her head, rubbing her eyes with her index finger and thumb. "Let's go get some sleep." her arm fell limply down at her side as she looked back up at Rowan. "It's been a while since we've gone a night without sleep," she muttered, her gaze averting towards Ren.

Alyssia was about to turn back around until she heard Kendra speak out. Scott didn't want her there, but it seemed like Kendra did. She lowered her head and sighed out. "I think you guys should get some sleep," she said. "I think we all need it."

OOC: TIME SKIP! To late afternoon... ish... Like four o' clock.

    BIC:

Elsie gingerly stretched her arms out, careful not to pull any sore muscles too much. There was one big band-aid on her cheek, her arms were wrapped in gauze (but they weren't soaked in blood like they were a few hours ago), and even her legs had some gauze on them too. She was going to be carrying a few scars... but that didn't bother her so much. She was stiff as a board, and her body ache while her cuts burned, but it was a combination she would have to deal with. She was dressed for the day, and like everyone else, she woke up at least ten minutes ago. They would've all slept longer, but Rowan said that it would be a good idea to get back on a regular sleeping schedule again, if possible. She glanced over at Rowan, who was sitting at the kitchen table looking over a list she made of what they should do before night fall. Seeing that Rowan was still editing her list, Elsie thought now would be the perfect chance to ask. "Hey, Rowan. We're kinda low on herbs. I was thinking that I would go scout out some around the area. There's about three hours of sunlight left, and I won't go that far."

"As long as one of the boys go with you," Rowan muttered as she was trying to concentrate on her list. "Don't get me wrong about girls, they can pack a punch... but I think one of the boys will be more reliable... Especially since you haven't totally recovered yet."

Elsie hunched her shoulders and looked to the side, muttering something unintelligible under her breath. Rowan always had to be so... she couldn't find the right word at the moment.

Rowan leaned back in the chair, looking down the hallway of the cabin. It was three stories, the first floor being the actual sleeping and shower area, the second being where the medical room, kitchen, and hang out room was, and then the third floor was the place where they kept junk and the rare prisoners... It was set up nicely, Rowan thought.

"Hey! Any of the boys want to help Elsie out?! And Drake, if you're still looking at that gadget without me, you better get your butt down here right now!"

Kendra was outside, sitting on a porch swing that was set up. It was rusty, and it creeked as it swung back and forth, but Kendra didn't mind. The earth smelled fresh and renewed... It was almost like the world was at peace. For once... She knew that this was a lie though. She side out and laid against the sunbaked pillows of the swing. "If only, if only..." Kendra heard Rowan yelling inside for someone and she couldn't help but to smile. It was almost like a real home...

OOC: AH! Sorry Twilight! I always want to call him Blake, and I guess it got away with me this time. EDITED! And yeah, it's okay. XD

Drake was examining the ball of wire in his hands, but immediately dropped the ball of wire the moment he heard Rowans voice and and sighed as he walked down the stairs and towards the others "I didn't touch the gadget" Drake lied as he closed his eye and scratched the back of his head

Seth was sitting against a wall with his eyes closed. Once he heard Rowan's request he got up and walked towards her "I don't mind going out to help her. Its better than just being stuck in here" Seth said with a smile

A hand reached out and pushed at the swing, lifting Kendra in the process. "You know...I've never been on a swing of any kind before." Scott commented, watching as it rocked back and forth with Kendra on it. He almost felt bad for having no sort of childhood but at the same time he knew he couldn't miss what he never had. I'm surprised I'm not some kind of anti-social nutcase. Scott thought to himself as he pushed the swing to make it go higher. "Having fun yet?" He asked Kendra, hoping the movement would be enough to make her agree.

Elsie heard a voice voulenteering and turned around to see who it was. She grinned when she saw it was Seth. He seemed to have a pretty good hold of his abilities and powers already.

Rowan didn't even look up at Drake when he came in. She chewed on the end of the pen while looking over the small list. It was a decent amount of things to do. "Uh huh, sure you weren't," she said to Drake's little statement. She then looked over at Seth and smiled. "Oh good, a voulenteir. Alright, your mission is to protect Elsie while she finds supplies for us. Since she's still sore, it's going to be hard for her to move around if there's a confrontation. Do you think you can handle it, Seth?

"Yeah, he can handle it!" Elsie snatched her knapsack that was laying on the table and then took Seth by the hand and dragged him out of the kitchen before anyone could stop them. "Okay! See you later, Rowan! We'll be back in a few hours! Tell Alyssia I said hi the next time you see her!"

Rowan lowered the pen from her mouth, shocked that Elsie wanted to get out in such a hurrty. "Hey! Becareful out there, will you?" But Elsie was already gone. Rowan sighed and slouched against the chair. "Being a leader... well, sort of leader... it's hard," she simply said. She didn't show it, but seeing the bandages on Elsie made her cry on the inside. Those were going to be some nasty scars when they healed over. 'Stupid RNA... you'll pay the next time we run across each other.' Coming across that thought, Rowan suddenly thought of something else... She looked over at Drake. "Hey Drake... do you think you can start training the remaining kids that are here? You know, how to defend themselves, and such."

    ________________________

"Whoa! Hey!" Kendra almost fell out of the swing when Scott first pushed it, but just laid down and rested her weight on it. She looked up, seeing Scott there making the swing go back and forth. Hearing his question, she just smiled. "I already was having fun. You missed a rainbow. And I've been on swings that can swing higher than this rusty thing," Kendra smiled softly, listening to the swing screetch in protest with the way Scott was swinging it. Even though she had keen ears, she could block out the annoying sound and just pretend like it wasn't there.

The front door opened and Elsie stepped outside, still dragging Seth along with her. She saw Scott and Kendra and grinned. "Morning you two! Or should I say, good afternoon?" She waved with her free hand and then kept walking with Seth in tow. "See you later! Don't get into trouble now!" When she walked to the wood's edge, she let go of Seth so he could walk around freely. "Sorry about that, but I really, really, really wanted to go outside as soon as possible. It gets stuffy in the cabin sometimes."

Seeing that Elsie disappeared as quickly as she came with Seth trailing behind her. Kendra chuckled. "Well that was random, hm?"

OOC: Forgive me of my grammar errors... it is 4:30 AM... I am so tired... @_@

"huh what the?" Seth said as he was suddenly dragged away by Elsie. Everything was going by so quickly as she dragged him along and all he knew was that he should just keep up the pace with Elsie and not trip and fall. man she really recovered fast Seth thought to himself. Once they got to the wood's edge and she let go of his hand, he listened to her explanation about why they were in such a rush " Its alright I understand why you want to come outside. I like the outdoors, It feels nice" Seth said with a smile as he felt as he felt a nice breeze pass by.

Drake looked over at Rowan and nodded "yeah I was planning on training them sooner or later. They need to know how to defend themselves properly and with what we saw earlier I have good hopes for them" Drake said as he began to walk to the front door to get Scott and Kendra but before he opened the door he just stood there and clenched his fist "those RNA b******s will pay dearly" Drake muttered loud enough for Rowan to hear and then opened the door and walked out

Fay quietly walked into the room Rowan was in, rubbing the back of her head as she let out a yawn. Her arm fell limply down at her side as soon as she saw Rowan. Fay crossed her arms and lowered her head. "Has anything happened with the girl we captured?" she asked.

Alyssia could hear the screeching of the swing not too far away from her, along with the cabin door opening and closing. She smiled faintly, staring down at her reflection in a fairly large puddle. She was crouched down, her hands on her knees, her smile soon fading. She brought one hand up to her lip, lightly brushing the tip of her index finger against the scar she had. "Why?" Alyssia removed her hand and stood up, clasping her hands behind her back and raising her head to look up at the sky. She tilted her head and smiled once more. "It's actually nice out," she murmured.
