First Fall of Crimson Snow

Elsie walked along the best she could, being careful not to wince so much. She knew that if she got wet, then her bandages would be spoiled and her cuts would hurt even more. She forced her legs to keep moving forward as she kept checking to make sure they weren't being followed, and that Seth was keeping up. "We collected some herbs that can help everyone go to sleep tonight," Elsie said quietly, trying to start up an conversation.

Kendra slowly started to relax. Her heart was slowly calming down, as well as her mind. She was starting to fit some pieces together. He waited until she was alone with him, he talked to her about his feeligns... and then he kissed her without warning. What was she suppose to do with this? Words were hard for her to form too. "... Does this mean... you like me?" She seen her parents kiss once or twice, and she read about it in books, but this was different.

 

"Simple. I was born into it, well, as far as I know anyway." Ren stated, taking a bite of her food while eying Rowan curiously.


Raven Hart. A strong female figure, or so that's how she saw herself. Since the escape she had made her way through the forest warily, resting during times when it rained in thickets that acted like a small home, protecting her from rain and other dangers. Home... something she never knew. At this though she chuckled silently before falling into a light sleep. Upon awaking the grass outside of the thicket was wet still and the skies were clear. But she could feel another strom on its way. She was just about to take shelter from the rain once more in any near by, natural areas she could when she heard voices ahead. Tired of being alone she rushed towards them without thought. If it happened to be an enemy... She would flee as soon as possible. If she wasn't able to do so then she would not let them take her back to the camp, even if it meant death.

"Wait up!" She called out to the strangers, as they moved to fast for her tired legs to take her. Sleep had been light...and uncomfortable as many stones and sticks stabbed her, but she was too tired at the time to move them. As she slowed down when she came closer to them, she tired to fix her appearance, just in case. Might as well look nice for once...

 

Seth began walking behind the others, following them back to the camp when all of a sudden he heard a voice calling out to them. Not recognizing who's voice it was, Seth immediately used his powers and created a sword in his hand and turned around with the sword pointed at the newcomer only to be surprised that it was a girl around his age. a girl? i cant let my guard down. She could probably be a part of the special forces Seth thought to himself as he pointed his sword "who are you" Seth asked

 

Fay quickly pulled out her gun and turned around, pointing the weapon in the direction the sudden voice had come from. Her expression softened when seeing it was girl who looked unarmed. She a few steps forward, now standing in front of Alyssia and Elsie, and beside Seth with her arm stretched out a little in front of him. "Where did you come from?"

Alyssia had taken a step back when Fay came in front of her and Elsie. She eyed the girl, feeling her presence before she had spoken. She came too quickly for Alyssia to have said anything to Fay. The young girl clenched her hands into fists, almost having the urge to run back to the cabin and tell the others.

 

Raven was taken back at first, her hand rasing to her chest, but sighed and smiled afterward. They were on guard, of course they were. But they didn't say they were going to take her in or attack her right away, so she didn't think them to be soilders or anything of the sort. "Raven. My name is Raven Hart." She said, her smile already gone. "I'm one of those special kids," a bitter tone hinted in her voice upon saying the word 'special' but was quickly gone. "Look, I can prove it too." She said montone but was eager to do so.

From her jacket pocket she drew a stone sharpen into being a makeshift knife, having nothing else since she did just escaped after all, and before the strangers had the chance to try to disarm her or do anything unneeded she turned the sharp point to her arm. From a small cut she made her blood came from. At first it simply dripped down to the grass, but within the second the blood on her arm began to float into the air. It formed several shapes as she spoke again. "I control blood. It can be anyone's, but I'm better when it's my own. I have other abilities, but this is the only ofensive one..." She said awkwardly, looking around at the others. Now that the rush of meeting new people was gone she was shrinking back into her shell.

Elsie made a slight noise of surprise as she saw the blood floating in the air. 'That's... not natural.' But Elsie knew that if she had powers, she must be like Alyssia and Seth. But since Elsie wasn't in control of this situation, and a higher Peaceful Warrior member was here, she kept silent. Her eyes glanced over at Fay to see what she had to say.

"Do you enjoy the ideas of the RNA and what they do?" Rowan asked while watching Ren. Simple questions, and she got simple answers. The more questions Rowan asked though, she figured the farther she'd get to know the girl and her past. If not all, then a little of it would do.

Kendra blushed and looked down shyly. She started to rub the back of her head with her hand, not sure what else to say. This was embarrassing... this was awkward. She liked the kiss, but what else was she suppose to do? And that was beside the point. Someone actually showed an interest in her. Scott looked past her wings... but was he really showing that he liked her? Or something else. Kendra was of course without words. She didn't know what to say at all.

 

Ren shrugged. "I never actually thought about it seriously. I mean, there were points in time where I questioned our ways, but heh, not like we actually have a choice. Plus it was all I ever knew." Ren looked down at the remaining food. During training she thought herself how to live on the littlest amounts possible so she really wasn't hungry anymore. Ren pushed it forward for Rowan to take whenever.

 

"Well, that's interesting," Fay calmly commented when seeing the girl's power. She slowly lowered her weapon and looked around the area, seeing no one else was around. "Alright, follow us." Fay turned back around and faced Seth. She pointed to her eyes and then pointed her thumb over her shoulder, motioning to Seth to keep an eye on Raven. Without making anymore singles, Fay continued walking, briefly looking up at the sky to see the clouds were a bit darker. She sighed out heavily as she lowered her head, soon seeing the cabin not too far away from the group.

 

Elsie saw the movemtns from Fay and then walked beside Fay without making any comments or getures to prove that she saw what Fay did. Light from a lightning strike briefly lit up the forest, and then the forest faded back into shadows. Thunder rolled about ten seconds after the flash, signalling the others that the storm was coming quickly. Elsie would've introduced herself to Raven, but her mind was racing with pain and trying to concentrate on not wincing. So she kept silent.

Rowan considered the answer while trying to form another question. She was keeping everything Ren said in a mental log. "What happened in those points when you started to question the ways of the RNA?" Thunder rolled above them, but it was very faint. Rowan figured everyone was watching out for everyone else, so there was no need to get herself worked up to make sure no one got caught in the storm.

 

ooc - I'm waiting for Seth's reaction before posting as Raven again, just to be fair, y'know?

Ren paused to listen to the thunder. It was always a nice sound to her, so ignoring it felt bad to her. Once it was gone though she picked back up with the conversation. "Honesty? Nightmares would be the simplest answer. I don't wish to say more on the topic though." Being open with the stranger was just as relaxing as it was weird. Never had she have a chance like this to actually open up, even if what she said was short as possible.

 

Seth lowered his sword and looked over at Fay as his sword shattered in his hands. Understanding what he was suppose to do, Seth looked over at Raven "I'm sorry I pointed my blade at you, but you could never be too to careful" Seth said knowing that he didn't need to apologies, but felt he should either way

 

Raven nodded. "Thanks for the apology." She muttered and then saw that everyone was walking away from them now. "We should follow them..." She walked forward so she wouldn't be left behind. Raven looked up to the darken clouds as they walked, amazed by the lighting. It flashed so brightly, but then was gone like it never existed. "Good thing I found you all before being caught in this storm..."

 

"Yeah, no kidding!" was Elsie's reply, finally mustering up enough strength to speak. "Good thing I needed more herbs to collect," she said with a grin. "By the way, my name is Elsie. And this is Fay, Alyssia, and Seth. Me and Alyssia are here to help, I'm sure the other two are willing as well, to fulfil your needs the best we can." Even though Elsie was being happy as possible, her mind was saying, 'Ow, ow, ow, pain... Pain... ow. Smart move to go herb collecting, Elsie. Hey, we were low on stuff.'

Finally seeing that the girl had reached her limit, Rowan pulled the dinnerplate out of the cell (making sure the little space was opened first), and watched the bars close back in place. "Well... It was nice chatting with you, Ren... Looks like we'll speak again later. Unless you have any questions for me, maybe I can answer them."

Kendra looked up at Scott, staring at him. Was he just teasing, or was he going to be serious. She felt her heart quicken when he came closer to her, but this time, she stood her ground. Her hand was in midair by her ear as she paused to push a strand of hair behind it. "So you're going to move me if I don't move. Is that how it's going to work?" she asked with a smirk. "It's kind of hard to pick me up with my wings in the way."

 

Kendra playfully stepped back just out of arms reach of Scott. She put her hands behind her head and tilted it slightly while looking at him with a smirk. "Guess I'll walk in on my own then. I don't want my feathers to get ruffled." Kendra walked past Scott in a semi-circle formation and started to stroll towards the door. Well, she didn't know what she was doing exactly. Maybe it was called flirting? She just started to go with the flow.

 

Fay stepped out into the area where the cabin was. She looked around, seeing Scott and Kendra were still outside. "Get inside," she said, directing it towards the kids that had been following her. She began walking once more and whistled towards Scott and Kendra. "Head inside. It's going to start raining any minute now," she shouted towards the two. She put her gun away and headed back inside. Need to tell Rowan we found another kid.

Alyssia looked over her shoulder and nodded her head in response to what Elsie had said. "Of course. We'll gladly help you with anything you may need. It's nice to meet you, by the way." She looked ahead of her, hearing Fay tell them something. She felt a droplet of water fall on her head, causing her to look up at the sky. I wish the sun would have stayed out today. She quietly sighed out and headed towards the door.

 

As an answer Ren laid back and streched out on the floor. She then closed her eyes and acted uninterested in anythin Rowan had to say. But then she uttered something towards Rowan. "It was nice metting you."


"You're all very kind." Raven coul swear she heard pain in Elsie' voice but in no way could she help. So getting back to where ever they were headed was perhaps the best thing to do for now. "It's very nice to meet you, too." She added, looking over towards Kendra and Scott. Beautiful wings poked through the back of the female. As they neared the door to the cabin she had to ask something. "Is everyone here like me, I mean, special kids?"
