First Fall of Crimson Snow

Fay quietly sighed out in relief when Elsie listened to Alyssia. She watched Rowan walk towards Raven and rubbed the back of her neck. I need to help her. I know for a fact Rowan's exhausted. She huffed and soon followed after Rowan.

Alyssia smiled softly when Elsie listened to her and left to the other room. As soon as she saw Rowan walk up to Raven, Alyssia turned away and took a couple steps towards a door that was not too far away. However, she stopped when she heard someone's voice ring in her ears. She doubted anyone spoke to her specifically, but she turned around either way. Other than Raven, Fay and Rowan, there was no one else in the room. The two Peaceful Warriors weren't even paying attention to her. That's odd. She placed her hand on the door and looked down as her eyes narrowed. I remember hearing Elsie outside...that's how I knew she was in pain. Alyssia stayed in the same spot for a moment before heading into the other room.

 

Elsie dug her fingers into her palm, trying to hold back yelps of pain. It just stung, that's all she needed to focus on. It wasn't a needle, it was just a... bug with a... She couldn't come up with anything to help ease her mind. She wished that she didn't let Drake do this.

The girl breathed out in relief and hurried herself along to prepare dinner. She saw that she had the ingrediants she needed, now it was up to her to find the cooking pot. Kendra walked over to the many cupboards and started to open them one by one. Finally, she found a big enough pot and pulled it out. It was decently clean, so she didn't have to worry about rewashing it. She set the pot on the stove and then looked at it. "Right then... guess we'll get dinner started." As Elsie fetched the canned ingrediants for the stew, she decided to make light conversation. "So... when did you first discover your powers, Scott?"

 

After finishing with both wounds he took a deep breath in and sighed "you can open your eyes now. Its over" Drake said with a smile as he put away the needle and put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair

 

Elsie opened only one eye and then opened the other when she decided it was safe to look. She couldn't help but to smile a bit when Drake ruffled her hair. He was almost like a big brother to her. And like big brothers, they could be a pain sometimes. But in the end, they're always there for you. She looked down at her arm and saw the stiches on her arm. They didn't look that bad. She looked up at Drake, finally smiling at him. "Thank you," she said quietly. She was back to her own cheerful self again.

Kendra listened quietly as she opened the cans of broth with a hand can opener she found in a drawer. The words 'test' stuck in her mind. His parents tested his abilities? As scientists? Or what? She didn't want to push that question on him though. Maybe a different time. Kendra smiled while pouring the cans of beef broth in the large pot and then took the frying pan that was hanging off of the stove on the oven top by the pan. "Yeah, I was born with wings. But they were just little stubby things at first. I was born at home, so we really didn't have a certified doctor to say what it was. The nurse and my mom just thought it was a growth of some kind and thought that it would go away over time... But it didn't. They grew... and they are what I have today." Kendra opened the can of Spam and let the content slide on a cutting board. She then picked up a knife she found and started to cut some pieces into thin slices. All the while, she was still talking to Scott. "I was always kept indoors... people in my village or tiny town thought I was touched by the Devil... that I was curse. Heh, it wouldn't be a surprise if the one who helped my mother give me life was the one who turned me in. Maybe the whole town did... who knows."

"no problem" Drake said with a smile as he reached into his pocket and handed her a lollipop "now be a good girl from now on and don't open up those wounds again" Drake said with a kind smile as he turned away and began to walk away "or else" Drake said in a threatening tone as he walked away

 

"Hey wait a minute!" Elsie stood up from her bed and kept her eyes on Drake. "What about your shoulder wound?" She folded her arms and gave him a look. "I let you treat me, it's only fair that you let me repay you back. Otherwise I won't sleep well tonight." What a silly threat. But anything could work.

 

Drake stopped walking and groaned totally forgetting about his shoulder "alright fine we will call it even if you check it out" Drake said. He knew his shoulder was fine and wanted to take the opportunity for Elsie repay him by doing something easy and unnecessary

 

Alyssia walked into the kitchen, spotting Kendra and Scott. She looked at them briefly before smiling slightly and walked towards one of the cabinets. She took out a cup and walked over to a container of water that was not too far away. She decided on ignoring the two since it was kind of clear Scott didn't want her there. But all she wanted was water. I wonder what's wrong with me. As soon as the cup had enough water, Alyssia stepped away and drank it all. Once she was done, she walked towards the sink, putting the cup in it. She turned away, wanting to avoid contact and soon headed towards the door.

 

Kendra smiled a bit as she looked over at Scott, but then her attention was focused on Alyssia who was just walking out of the door. "Hey there!" she said cheerfully. Kendra had a feeling that Alyssia didn't want to be botered, but she figured if she made more than one friend before another crisis happened, she would be in good shape. Though she didn't tell Scott that. She'd knew what he would say to her. "I know that we just met and all... but do you want to help me get this stew together? It's okay if you don't." Kendra smiled as friendly as possible. It was hard for her to be so open with people, so asking someone else she didn't know that well to help her out was a big step for her. She looked over at Scott and smirked. "I would ask you to help, but you'd just say you're too many to do girly things." She laughed to herself as she turned back to cut the spam. She was starting to cut it in tiny pieces while waiting for Alyssia's reply. "How 'bout it?"

Elsie grinned, happy that she was able to at least to a little something to help out. As soon as she had Drake sit down, and take off his shirt, she started to unwrapped the bandages from his wound very carefully and gently. Thunder rumbled outside, and the rain pattered heavily on the roof. "It's a big storm outside," Elsie said quietly.

 

Alyssia stopped walking when she heard Kendra speak to her. She opened her mouth to say something, but soon saw Scott walk out. She closed her mouth, pressing her lips together before shrugging her shoulders. "I suppose," she said, faintly smiling as she walked towards Kendra. "Kind of figured you two would have liked to be alone though."

 

Kendra sighed out as soon as Scott left the room, but brightened up when Alyssia stayed. She had to laugh at what Alyssia said, because it was the opposite for her. "Well yes and no. I mean, It's kind of... weird. I don't know how to describe it." Kendra finished mincing the Spam, and then she smiled at Alyssia. "So, do you know how to cook?"

 

Elsie walked out into the front room, avoiding Rowan's and Fay's attention. They were focused on the new girl, so it was easy. She was done with Drake, and left him alone to do his own thing. Elsie looked outside the front window. She could barely see through it since the rain was pouring down, but she saw a figure walking away from the cabin. She raised an eyebrow and tried to peer closer, but she couldn't see who it was. 'They can't be out alone... not unless they told someone. But I highly doubt that.' Elsie turned and walked to the front door, picked up a heavy water proof coat with a hood on it, slipped it on, and then headed outside. She had to get them back inside, who ever they were. It was dangerous out there.

It didn't take very long for Elsie to catch up with the figure, but she kept her distance. The rain and the wind beat down on her, making her shiver. Her body ached because of this, but she just kept walking. She had a hand in her pocket where her gun was, ready to pull it out. She would've called out to the figure, but she decided to keep silent. If it was anybody besides the Peaceful Warriors, they wouldn't be able to walk back to the cabin alone. 'The forest picks certain people who can find us,' she thought as she pulled the hood tighter around her head. Her teeth chattered, but she kept on walking.

Clay nodded his head, keeping his eye on Scott as well with his own gun aimed. He was going to let Luke have the first shot. He didn't notice Elsie yet, since he was just focused on one target.

 

After Elsie finished up with him, he put back his shirt on and placed his weapons on his back. He then closed his eyes and began to walk down the hallway holding his shoulder and began moving it around my shoulder feels better now. I have to be more careful in battle Drake thought to himself as he walked down the hallway

Seth sat alone in a corner with his hand on his head "whats happening to me? all this energy...its too much" Seth muttered out quietly as he began to cringe in pain as he held his head

 

Elsie's head swiveled towards the direction of the gun shot and she quickly did as Scott said and dropped to one knee. She cringed when she felt the cuts on her leg stretch out a bit but she was able to flip out her handgun and fired a few shots back where the bullets had come from. "You can't go out all by yourself!" she said over the gun fire to Scott. "You'll never make it back from where you started! And then something like this would've happened, and there would be no one there to help you!" Elsie then stopped firing and then crouched low to the ground, but still standing on her feet, she made her way over to Scott and grabbed his arm. "Let's go," she whispered harshly and started to pull him along as fast as he would move. Now she wished she told someone where she was going, this was a little scary... Many times had she been in situations like this, but this time was different. This time, she had someone to protect, and she she was vunerable. 'Someone please come find us,' she pleaded in her mind to anyone who would hear her. 'I'll never run off again without telling someone where I'm going ever again. I promise. Just someone come...'

Elsie put her mind in the current situation now. All she could hear was the rain and the wind, but also some faint scuffles around them. Was it animals? Or humans? She kept her handgun in her pocket while pulling Scott along, ready to draw and shoot if someone crossed their path.

Clay ducked down as soon as the guns were fired. The bullets only hit a tree where Luke was standing just moments ago. Clay turned his head and kept low, seeing that the girl and the boy were just getting out of his sights. 'Not a bad aim... for someone who survived my wire trap.'

Rowan suddenly felt a strange feeling... It was a feeling that only mothers usually got, but she had motherly instincts for her whole team. Something wasn't right... She looked over at Fay, her eyes showing Fay that she was suddenly perplex. "Fay, did you or Drake send anyone outside?"
