First Fall of Crimson Snow

Alyssia lowered her eyes towards the food, staring at it as she suddenly felt slightly shy around Kendra. She didn't understand why since she felt perfectly fine when they first spoke. "No," she said, lightly shaking her head and shrugging her shoulders. "I've...never really cooked before due to my own past," she quietly added, looking back up at Kendra. "But I wouldn't mind l-" Her sentence was suddenly cut off when she felt a familiar feeling. Someone's here. She turned her attention from Kendra, looking towards the walls, the windows and even the door she had come from. How did they find us?

Fay cocked her head and raised an eyebrow when she heard Rowan's question. "No," she said as she shook her head. "I know I didn't and I doubt Drake did too." She turned her back to Raven and looked around the room. Nobody was in there except for her, Rowan and Raven. "Last person I saw in the room was..." Her sentenced trailed off as she though on who it was she saw last. "I doubt Alyssia left outside." She turned towards Rowan, but her head shot towards the door when she heard the faint sound of gunshots.

 

"ARGH! You idiot! Didn't you hear what I just told you!? You need me to get back! STOP BEING ALL MACHO FOR ONCE! YOUR A HUMAN STILL, YOU KNOW!" Elsie tried to go after Scott, but lost sight of him as soon as he got out of her reach. She couldn't run fast, couldn't get anywhere really. She was left to herself... And she sensed something behind her. Why did she had to go after this sexist freak. Elsie knew that the something behind her had their eyes on her, she couldn't escape from it. She quickly turned around and rapid fire at the direction where she heard the cruching leaves. The rain started to pour down harder, making streams of water run off Elsie's coat and spill on the ground. She was scared... really scared. 'Bad choice Elsie... bad choice.'

Kendra raised an eyebrow while looking at Alyssia. She was in a middle of a sentence, but suddenly stopped. "Alyssia... you okay?" Then she heard the faint gun shots and quickly turned towards the window. Then after a few moments, she heard a another seires of gunshots that sounded like it was coming from the same gun. "What the..."

Hearing the second round of shots, only farther away, Rowan suddenly made the connection. "Fay... that's Elsie's gun." Rowan quickly sprinted towards the closet by the front door and flung it open. Within were some weapons and supplies. Rowan grabbed her weapon off the rack with her daggers, put on a rain coat, and some combat boots on, and some leather biker gloves. "Alyssia and Kendra! Stay in the cabin! Do not come out what so ever for anything! Raven, stay with them. And if you see two boys around your age, tell them to stay put." Rowan even equipped some gernades on her belt. "DRAKE! We have an emergancy! Elsie is under attack!"

 

After hearing Rowan, Drake immediately grabbed his rain jacket and put it on with his shot gun and sword in hand and immediately began to run towards the exit "damn it I just fixed her wounds why would she go outside" Drake muttered to himself, annoyed at the situation before him

Seth sat in the corner holding his head but once he heard Rowan's voice yelling to Drake he got up with one hand on his head "I have to help" Seth said quietly removing his hand from his head and headed for the exit

 

As soon as she was grabbed and her arm was twisted around, Elsie screamed shirlly in pain as she felt the stitches being undone on her arm that the RNA pulled around behind her back. Her gun was tossed to the side and getting rained on. Elsie's eyes watered and she whimpered from the sheer pain, but she wouldn't burst out crying. There was a gun pointed at her. Now she knew how some of the kids felt. It was like staring at Death in the face. She heard Scott come back and lifted her head up with difficulty to look at him. "Run you idiot!" she screamed. "We're ready to die! Just get out of here!"

 

That voice it has to be her Drake thought to himself as he began to run forward damn you better be alright Drake though as he ran until he came across some figures up ahead and hid behind a tree. From the tree he tried to get a glance at what was going on

 

Alyssia ignored Kendra's question, hearing more gunshots go off. A familiar voice suddenly rang in her head as well, causing her to look around the room. "Elsie's not..." Hearing the girl's pleading in her head, Alyssia felt a sudden pain on her temples, causing her to lean over the counter. She shook her head, trying to make the pain go away. Her eyes grew wide when she heard Rowan shout out towards Drake. "I have to go," she muttered towards Kendra as she stood up from the counter. Without another word, Alyssia took off running, out of the kitchen and soon ran past Fay.

Fay cursed under her breath, rushing towards the wall where her sword and gun were. She quickly unsheathed her sword and readied her gun, turning around to see Alyssia run out. "Alyssia get back here!" Fay cursed once more, running after the girl.

Alyssia ran out the door and skid to a stop when she was a few feet away from the door. She desperately looked around the area, soon hearing Elsie scream, causing her to turn towards the direction it had come from. When she turned, she spotted Elsie being held by an RNA. "Elsie!" she screamed, seeing Scott not too far away. Why is he out here?

 

Drake quietly climbed up the tree and got his gun ready aiming in at Luke. With all the rain blocking the noise around the area it was easier for him to prepare himself without making a sound. Alright I have to aim this properly and get a good shot Drake thought to himself. His one eye locking on Luke waiting for the right moment

 

Elsie pulled at Luke's grip just slightly. Her arm felt like it was on fire, and her brain was telling her to adjust herself. She could feel the coat sleeve trying to stick to the place on her arm where the stitches came undone. She wanted to curse Scott for even thinking about handing himself over. In the past, Elsie saw what the RNA really do. They were foxes. They never, ever kept to their word. And with the way Scott was planning things out... Earlier she heard another voice, but she couldn't be sure who it was. It sounded like a female... 'Please don't let it be Alyssia...' As she sat there in the rain and listened to the forest around her, she felt a pair of eyes on them. And another...and other... and then, there was one more. She figured Kendra had followed, so did Rowan, but who was the third pair?

In the corner of her eye, Elsie saw that the RNA put his finger away from the trigger. She started to quickly form a plan in her mind. With these people watching, she figured that she, Scott, and Alyssia were going to be protective. Even though Elsie was slow, she knew the fear she was feeling would help her move fast. 'Oh yeah,forgot to mention, I'm very flexible and strong,' she thought she would say to the man holding her arm.

Suddenly, Elsie yanked as hard as she could and twisted her arm around in an unnatural way. It almost looked like it was broken, but it wasn't so. She was now facing the man, pain screaming at her in her brain and her heart pounding. First, she kicked the man between the legs, and then she kicked straight up again towards the man's hand with the gun in it and kicked that upward so he wouldn't get a good shot at her. Her cuts in her legs screamed in agony, but her mind was racing too much to really care. She realized that in the position she was in now, he could to a multiple number of things to her... except shoot. If he chose to broke her arm, so be it. She wasn't going to go down without a fight or let someone hand themselves over just for her. "GET GOING ALREADY YOU SEXIST FREAK!" she yelled to Scott. She then lowered her leg, steppped into another stance, and then went in to punch the guy in the face.

Right behind the guy, a swirling blob of water came up from behind him and encased his arm that had the gun. Not only did it do that, but then it started to freeze rapidly as well. Soon, the arm would be completely frozen until it melted.

Kendra was hiding in the bushes, trying to control the water from where she was. This was a new trick she was trying out, but it seemed like it was working.


Suddenly, a gun clicked behind Kendra.

"Good night, little bird."

Kendra didn't even have a chance to turn around and face the voice. The trigger was pulled, the shot was silent. But instead of feeling something rip through her whole body, she felt a painful prick in her neck. Instantly, she felt like she was moving underwater, or in a thick sludge. Next thing she knew, her world went black and she crumbled to the ground like a puppet on strings who wasn't being controlled anymore.

Clay put his gun in his belt and knelt down by Kendra. With everyone else focused on what was happening to Luke, the rebel, and the two mutants around them, he knew that it would take everyone a while to figure out what happened to someone else. But he wasn't going to take chances. Staying low to the ground, he started to drag the bird freak farther into the forest and out of sight of anyone else. With the rain pouring down, it would cover up his tracks. As soon as he had Kendra where he wanted her at, he was going to go back and see what he could do to help Luke. But he figured that Luke would probably want to fight them alone for as long as possible.

The ice that was forming around Luke's arm suddenly stopped in midway, only half way freezing it. The rest of the water fell to the ground like the rest of the rain.

oh s**t Was the first thing Drake thought to himself as the smoke covered the area "damn it all I resisted and lost my chance" Drake muttered quietly

Seth continued to run threw the rain as he tried to find out where everybody went "up there" Seth said to himself as he saw some smoke up ahead and ran towards it

 

Alyssia's eye scanned the area, knowing well there was another person around them, and it was familiar. She could feel the others' presence around them as well so she knew the others were ready for something, hopefully. She turned her attention back towards Elsie, seeing what she done to try and break herself free from Luke's grasp. Alyssia took a step forward, soon hearing Scott's thought come into her head. That was...Kendra? Her eyes suddenly grew wide, looking towards the direction she could feel Kendra's presence; she felt someone else's as well and both of them were beginning to feel farther away. Kendra's in trouble! She opened her mouth to shout towards Scott but the sudden smoke refused her from doing so. She covered her mouth, soon feeling a hand land on her shoulder.

Fay cursed under her breath, keeping her hand tightly on Alyssia's shoulder when seeing the smoke. She didn't know how many other RNA members were there with Luke or if he was alone, but they couldn't take any chances. She pulled Alyssia close to her, her eyes straight in the direction where Luke was with Elsie. We can't let them get away.

 

Elsie gagged as the male's arm wrapped around her neck. When she saw that Scott was shot, her eyes widened. "NO!" came a gurgled cry from her lips. She struggled to get out of the guy's hold, but it was useless. Her breath was short, and she was starting to choke when the smoke encircled them. There was no way she could escape now, not alone. Tears wheld up in her eyes as fear was starting to take over her. She hoped Scott was alright, she prayed that he was alright. She hoped that the guy would loose him in the smoke, and he would get out okay. 'Please be okay...'

Clay finally dragged Kendra to the original spot where Luke told him to wait. He then dropped her on the ground, letting her face fall first to the ground. Grabbing his backpack that rested not far from him, he produced some hefty rope and started to tie the girl's wings together and her hands and feet as well. "I got one..." he said to himself. "Let's see if you got the others Luke..."

"Dang it!" Rowan whispered under her breath as she watched the smoke form. It wouldn't last long with the rain, but it wouldn't go away quickly. By the time the smoke would clear out, they would be gone. "Elsie... Scott... I'm not going to let you take them away." She crawled through the tree branches, being super careful since it was slippery than usual. She watched, and waited from above.

 

Drake stood in the tree holding his gun unable to do anything at the moment. With all the smoke around the area it would be pointless for him to get down since he wouldn't see anything. All he could do is wait for the smoke to pass and hope that everybody was still there even thought the chance that the enemy would still be there is slim

Seth ran forward and hid near a tree trying to plan out what to do since ahead of him was filled with smoke. He began to pant hard as he hid behind the tree and all of a sudden his hands began to glow "tsk not...now" Seth muttered as his hands stopped glowing

 

Elsie spluttered as more air was being taken away from her. She was starting to relax in Luke's arms, and she was starting to see black dots in her vision. 'Can't... breath...' Her hands fell away from Luke's arm, trying not to struggle anymore. She felt like she was the mouse, and this guy was the boa constrictor. She was getting some air, but it was filled with smoke. Therefore, she was getting light headed. She didn't even noticed that Scott got snatched up as well by the same guy.

Clay set Kendra on the ground after he was done and scanned the area for any signs of Luke. He could see the smoke... so that was a plus on Luke's part. Clay looked over at Kendra as the rain droplets were still falling around him. She looked a bit more paler than usual, and it almost looked like she wasn't breathing. Clay knew better though. He gave her a strong tranquilizer that would last a while. By the time she woke up, they would be back at the base. Or maybe they'll have her back where she belonged; in a cage. Her hair was pressed against her face, and for a moment, Clay thought she looked rather peaceful. "Hm... maybe it was a bit too much..." But he knew she would live.

 

Alyssia's eyes looked around, trying to see through the smoke but she couldn't. All she could feel were the presences of several people, and three of them were beginning to go away slowly. Damn it! She turned her head in the direction she had seen Luke and the other two. They were still close. Forcefully, she pulled away from Fay's grasp and walked forward, her hands feeling a familiar tickle of electricity. I have to do something. The more she walked through the cloud, the closer she felt the presence of the three people. Soon, she saw a vague figure, recognizing the presence. Scott. She heard his thoughts and Luke's as well.

She raised her eyes, seeing a tall figure and another just in front of him. She stayed as quiet as she could as she approached Luke. Please let this work. Her lips pressed tightly together as a sudden light of electricity built at the tip of her finger. She rushed forward, pointing her finger at Luke's shoulder. "Stop!" she said. She felt herself become nervous and scared, but she ignored those feelings, knowing well she couldn't let an RNA member get away with Scott and Elsie.

Fay cursed under her breath and her grasp on Alyssia's shoulder broke free. "Damn it!" she cursed, seeing the girl disappear into the smoke fairly quickly. I can't move around. I'll end up bumping into something or someone, but I can't let these kids get away! She huffed out, frustrated from the turn of events. None of this is going the way we want it to be.
