First Woman and African American

We all know that our next election for president is in 2008 but what is really interesting is that a woman and a African American are running for president. So tell me what you think and please no flaming, or rude sexist/racist remarks.

And please put mature answers.

Well having an African American isn't really that much of a difference. Just a dark coloured man instead of a white coloured man.

But the woman..meh...it'd be a new experience, sure. Whether it be good or bad, I'm sure having a woman as a president would be kinda cool and beneficial in some aspects, and not so beneficial in a few others.

Well yeah. =/

I personally think this will be a great election. If I had to side with a candidate, it would be Obama. He experienced the hard life and cares for the community, as well as being a civil rights leader. I think he may beat Clinton.

 

I'm a bit scared of the woman, but other than that I'm down with it.

I dunno...I think a good change to the politics would be good but...Hilary isn't the one I would vote for...

well im all for a black and a woman president but hilary is kind of a femenist so i would not like her as the president not that i have anything against woman its just...well you know.

 

I all for it, I mean look at the places that are ruled by kings and queens, no one moans when a queen is coming up to rule

And so what if the other one is African American, what's the colour of our skin got to do with it, nothing to me there just another person in the world

Which is why having a dark skinned president or whatever would be odd.

In an ideal world gender and race should have no bearing on who is leader. The job should go to the most competent person. Unfortunately, as much as we like to tell ourselves that it isn't true, judgments are still made using race and gender as parameters. It would be nice to see the First Woman and African American president. We had a woman Prime Minister.
