Hey guys, as you all probably saw I closed the forums a bit earlier to upgrade us from Xenforo 1.1.3 to 1.1.4. It's a rather small release with some bug fixes that don't really affect most of you directly, so I don't have many changes to highlight (although you can now add a poll to an existing thread!), but if you're having any troubles from this update please post in here and let me know.

      Good work. Thank you, Cassie.

I know you frequent XenForo Community, but I thought I'd share this with the rest of the community. XenForo 1.2.0 will have an edit history similar to vBulletin.

I believe this was one of my suggestions when we first moved to XenForo, so it's pretty cool.

The feature will be closed to staff, as it was on vB. Not sure if it'll be available on a user per user basis (i.e. you can see your edit history but not someone else's).

Yeah, that'd be cool. Everyone would see "Last edited by" or whatever it's going to be on XenForo, but that text won't be a link for users that can't view history.

Also, just wanted to note some differences I noticed: options on the profile popup are bold and the online bar's text is smaller.

I remember it being that way on VBulletin, but it wasn't really "history" so much as you could compare the current version of your post with other versions. You couldn't really see all of it at once.

When you say "add a poll" do you mean we can change an existing poll we already made? It's not really like it matters cause the poll I want to change is on a thread that no one post on anymore. I just felt like when I made it, I stated the question wrong and would like to know for future reference.

      Y tho
I can only see it benefiting your OCD.

      thnx misty.

If you need to edit an existing poll, you'll have to contact a staff member. But if you say, post a thread, and then later want to add a poll to it, you can do so. Previously this wasn't possible without a moderator, but you can do it now. It's a pretty small feature but I know a few people were really frustrated by it.

There was a small problem with some of the files uploaded, it's been fixed. I doubt anyone noticed any issues on their end, but it did prevent you from making profile posts longer than 420 characters for a time.

It's all been sorted out, sorry to any that had issues.

Wasn't that an issue before the upgrade?

It was, briefly, but it was fixed. The upgrade reverted the fix, which I then reapplied.

Whenever you post it seems to automatically break it up into lines, regardless of the length. Before the upgrade I saw it happen when I posted from a tablet into a Conversation, but now it even happens in threads.

I haven't been having any (new) issues posting (though I'll check bug reports) but the editor is buggy as hell, hah. Future XF releases will definitely include bug fixes, and one of the devs has mentioned replacing the editor entirely.

I don't suppose the new editor would work better with tables and actually show them instead of their code in WYSIWYG Mode?

As you know, currently to get tables to work right without messing threads up, you have to either disable WYSIWYG Mode and use Source Mode like I did, which can be annoying at times, as, unlike on vBulletin, it doesn't insert the hyperlink when you click the add link button after highlighting a word in Source Mode, just [*url="]text here[*/url], or save a copy of the code in a document if you keep WYSIWYG Mode enabled.

It all depends on the implementation, so far it has only been discussed and nowhere in specific plans. Just a matter of waiting.

Nevermind. Turns out it's just a bunch of blank ads on the tablet causing the problem.

Still, the editor could use a bit of tweaking. It's not a major issue for me personally, but I can see how some people would want it gone.

Actually, was the smaller online text intentional?

I had to redo the online/offline bars entirely so they might look a little different.

      Ah, okay.

The only thing that's different is the font size, actually. c:

Think the font could be made bigger like before for both online and invisible? :)
