Me too. It was my very first GameBoy Advance game, and it is still one of my favorites.

Agreed with 358/2 Days and Coded being completely unnecessary. I literally had to force myself to finish Days with how boring the missions were, and Coded...need I even explain that one? Chain of Memories is barely acceptable though for recycling the first game's worlds. It makes up for it with a great story and introducing good characters like Namine and the Organization.

But with 358/2 Days, I did really like Xion, and the conflict between Axel and Saix being explored more. Still, they could have been done in cutscenes.

Also, on Metal Gear Solid, I totally agree that, as of MGS4, the series does not need to be continued. Though I still do want to play Peace Walker and Rising, the story is pretty much complete.

Yeah, I read somewhere that Kojima wanted to end the series in MGS3 so he could work on more interesting things, but he obviously failed. Basically, he put all his words into Old Snake's mouth. Also, Rising doesn't technically count cause its made by a different company. And Peace Walker is alright, just the tank battles are a pain. I'm still ****ing stuck on the Pupa. ;-;

Well, it is supposed to take place before MGS4 apparently, so Vamp would still be alive.

I'm so happy that Platinum Games is making it though. Bayonetta and Vanquish are solid, but barely anyone I know has played them. This could help expose them to more players.

Final Fantasy? Apart from the online ones OKAY, I'MMA HUNT YOU DOWN NOW!

There was only one thing I never accepted about FF13. Summons being motorbikes and stuff. What the--!? I assume there was a purpose but... I don't get it. xD

Seriously, I have game series I can hate on because they annoy me, like WWE games. I used to like them but now I'm like "NOPE!"

 

Honestly, I don't see how the Final Fantasy games are improving (besides Type-0 and Versus XIII). XIII had a mega linear gameplay style and (in my opinion) kind of a weak story. Still, the combat was great, but...that was it. Haven't played XIII-2. And XII was great, just not my personal cup-o-tea. Love the characters and plot, but I couldn't get into the combat system.

And sports games are never going to end, just saying.

 

So what you're saying is that you don't see how the FF games are improving except for the games that are?

 

I mean...uh...I don't see how the supposedly "main installment" games are improving? Like XIII, XIII-2 and so on.

I kinda see Type-0 and Versus XIII as spin-offs, since they don't have a straight number title

Type-0 is great, and I love Final Fantasy. It actually kept me interested this long.
But come on, Square, enough is enough. Pop one more out and be done with it.
The first one was supposed to be your last fantasy game. Kinda funny how it turned out.

 

So we have to say "Type-0" three times to summon you? What's your attack?

Also that damn game needs to come to America already.
