Alrighty everyone, this thread was inspired by Kairi's phantoms? thread. I have a bunch of great ghost stories that I know, all of which are true. I'm curious as to others reactions to them, as well as other people's stories ^^. So gather around the campfire, pull up a log, and munch on that s'more, cause its ghost story time. Put some dramatic music on for effect as well!

Well, me and a few of my friends were sitting around a dying campfire at 12:00 o'clock at night. We had just finished a Halloween party, so we were in a good mood for scary tales. One by one we each told one another our stories, one's we'd experienced, and one's we'd been told by other close friends. There was a new person with us that night, a friend of One of my friend's who goes to Marian, whom had come with my close friend for the weekend. She had some amazing tales. I'm going to retell them here for your pleasure...

"One of my good friend's that I met at a camp is incredibly superstitious. His whole family is, but they have a right to be. He would always tell me about stories of things that happened at their first house. The house they had originally lived in had been part of the underground railroad, but the hideout had been discovered, and all the slaves inside were killed, murdered in the place they had been hiding. When they bought the house the previous owner gave them a warning. 'Don't open the Attic, basement or the locked room on the second floor.' Obviously they didn't think much of it, so they turned the room on the second floor into a play room, and eventually a bedroom for the parents. The interesting thing about the room is that whether its the dead of winter, or blistering hot outside, the room is ALWAYS cold. When the parents turned it into their bedroom, interesting things began to happen. One night, the father woke up and at the foot of the bed, he saw three people standing there in civil war garb, a child, a woman, and a man. Thinking it was a dream, he went back to sleep. A little while later, the mother also woke up and looked down at the end of the bed. She saw the same thing. When they woke up in the morning, they told each other about a weird "dream " they had had, realizing they had seen the same thing. One of the children also confirmed this when they slep in their one night and saw the same three people."
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Creepy no? And that is just the type of the iceberg on this house's stories. I hope to hear more from you all, and maybe a few ghost stories ^^. If people ask me to, I'll post another tale from this house. If I run out of stories for the house, I have quite a few more up my sleeve!

I never saw all of Poltergeist.

Anyway, about three years ago or so, almost four, one of my best friends died in a nightclub fire. The theatre troupe we both belonged to put on a memorial. They had a TV set up to watch clips of his performances. It was off when I went on to speak. I spoke about him, and when I mentioned I didn't know what exsists after death, the TV turned itself on.

O_o That story is intriguing Jack! Did anything else happen that night?

No, but some months later, my friend came to me in a dream and we had a long discussion about I don't remember what, and he kept repeating "Dude, I'm dead", and I was able to get over it fully after that.

    wow jack, thats creepy...

    Anyways this happened last night
    -----------------------------
Well before I went to bed I played a bit of Project Zero,(one of the creepest games ever) yeah I know, bad idea. Well when I went to bed I was kinda in a semi-shell shock. I don't know why but I really didn't feel too good. At about 2:00 am I woke up and just stared at the ceiling. All of a sudden it got really cold and I looked towards my doorway. I sw there standing, almot a faded image of a woman in hetr late 30s in a brownish middelish 1800s dress. By that time I was just staring at her, in shock. Then I turned the other way and fell asleep. Later at 5:00 am I woke up again. I looked back at the doorway. The woman was gone but there stood a little girl about the age of 7. I see this girl every night, in the same place.

So he came back to help you get over losing him? That must have been his unfinished bussiness, why he was still around. Have you heard from him sense?
    @Axel8: DUDE! I probably would have crapped myself. That is why I don't play horror games. ^^;;

No, and I rarely think about him unless the subject comes up. I remember at the time I was writing a screenplay adaptaion of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and I dedicated it to him because I thought he would've made a great Nny.

It was a small nightclub that was overfilled, and the band was allowed to use pyrotechnichs. The problem was that the acoustic foam covering all the walls were old and crackly. I think the capacity was about 300 people, and that night it was overfilled, and 100 people died.

    i believe in ghosts:
    look at my story:
me and my classmates were practicing for a contest at
our school's gym after class for 2 weeks straight. a week b4 the competition
    something happened:
    (aug 7-9, 2006 all 5-8 pm)
monday: one of my classmates were absent coz she said that she was possesed by a nun the friday before.

tuesday (less scary): (she went to school) b4 our practice began she was possesed by that same nun. when she fainted ,while being possesed, we
were shouting her name and others were calling our adviser for help. she woke up and started to cry.
wednesday (the really scary part): at the same place, b4 the practice ended, she started to act weirdly. we ended the practice w/a prayer and after 1 second the lights went out (we still dunno if somebody turned it off or the lights just went out on its own) and we were all screaming "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" and freaking out, i saw her faint next to our adviser. we couldn't wake her up so we had to bring her to the vice-principal's office. we were almost at the stairs when she woke up and stood. she looked at the place, where we were practicing, and started to walk to that direction, we quickly stopped her and took her downstairs. downstairs, we were almost at the vp's office when she said, "where are you taking me?? I don't wanna go w/you!", we all screamed, we knew that she wasn't w/ us anymore and me and the other girls were crying cuz we were so afraid to lose her. the other classes saw her saying those things too. luckily a Catholic Christian Formation (CCF) teacher passed by (i go to a catholic school) and tried to get the spirit out of her body, luckily the spirit of the nun was sent away (temporarily)

-oh god, this still reminds me of "The Nun" movie

HK, I think you've got the sppokiest story so far

Ok, time for another tale! ^^

"In the same room, the parents awoke one morning to a massive red spot that resembled blood in the center of their carpet. Frustrated, they left, with the anticipation to clean it up that night. When they arrived home the spot was gone."

Sort one I know ^^ but for the next one, I need to remind you of something. Remember how the landlord told them never to open the basement or attic? Well, the attic was never opened, but the basement is another story altogether...

Did I ever tell you guys my school is haunted?
Well like seven years ago, the choir room used to be a swimming pool. One day a girl in th swim team drowned so they put a floor on the pool and made it into the choir room. My sister said when she was in choir she said she say something.
I'm not sure if this is true, though I have never been in the choir room.
