Please, can somebody help me on this? I opened GIMP today and there were no tabs for anything. I could select options but I couldn't lower opacity, fade out, etc. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks.
Well, you eaither: A: close GIMP and start it again or B: Find out what the tab shortcuts are and bring them up again. the layers Dialouge is Control+L I believe.

Geez, that happened to you to?! It's bugging the crap out of me for the past few months! I thought I was all alone! But yeah, just use tool options. I preferred it as a big long thing, but whatevs.
<_< I think it took me a day to realize that Tool Options thing. Or maybe like an hour....I'm just confused. Well, I'm back up and better than ever.
I just found this solution: Download the GIMP installer and install it each time when you want to use Gimp. It might be a bugger, but it gives Gimp the full thing so... yeah.
Yeah that works. But I think the brushes and patterns leave as well. You can always double click each feature =\
Oh, okay. But since I'm clueless and so noobalicious I dunno how to download brushes, and I'm fine the way it is. Thanks for your help though guys.
