i will explain in great detail... 1. i got gimp, 2. then i went o a downloading spree for 2 or 3 days(fonts/brushes/etc) 3. gimp now takes a half an hour to open 4. i reinstalled gimp again in a separate folder so i can use that one to do renders 5. i didnt install any brushes so it would open faster 6. it still loads fonts when opening 7. i dont want it to, i have to many fonts and as i'm using that version for renders only i dont need brushes/fonts they just slow me down. that about sums it up, so can anyone help?
I still do not understand. Is this about taking out the fonts? Because, if it is, I think that the fonts are saved to you're computer (as in, not only GIMP but also on Word, etc) but I've never downloaded any fonts before so I wouldn't know. So what you need to do is take them away from where you saved them (and I think it's under C:/WINDOWS/Fonts or something like that) and they should be gone. As I said, I've never used fonts before so I'm not so sure.
they are but i dont wanna uninstall my fonts i just want that version of gimp not to open that folder
I dunno about that. I'm not sure you can do it. But I have no experience with this so I think you'd be better of asking someone who can fix this problem for you. But I still doubt it can happen.
ok thanks anyway any hackers/programmers that can tell me how to change the operating system, feel free to help....
Only way is to delete the fonts. GIMP automatically takes in all the fonts, just like MSword, Wordperfect, PS (I'm sure), and many others do. And loading isn't the best deal. I have over 200 brushes and fonts so it also makes mine load a bit slow. Best to delete fonts or delete some brushes. If your gonna' render, you won't really need any of the extended brushes anyway.
