The grand theft auto series is a good series, i actually though the game was better with 3, GTA SA, vice city... but when i was playing around in IV, i was a bit disappointed, it wasn't the fast paced, fun free roaming shooter i remembered, to me it was a bit... eeh, it peeks others interests though, i'm not a real hardcore gamer, or one who likes to much realism, a lot of people enjoy going to a game to basically see funny, goofy physics that could never happen in actual life.

I am looking forward a bit to the newer SR that's going to be coming out though, but GTA isn't entirely my cup of Tea.

It needs an install first to be able to play it? No wonder there's no PC version yet....... But anyways, it seems that this game looks so good, that it requires the install disks. That and the new AI, the new animations, the lager map, etc.

...No for real though, why is the install required? Is it just for performance's sake or what? In that case it seems like quite a length to go to.

That's my main theory why they made the install disk. Just so that the game loads faster or something like that...

Rockstar love pushing the console capabilities of the current gen systems beyond what they can handle. I can only hope that this really means their promise of content and scale is as grand as they make it out to be. Really looking forward to this beast of a send lf game.

I think that's Rockstar being their console loving selves, they sporadicly release their games on the PC if ever.

Well, GTA III and IV made it to PC, so why not V?

I'm only thinking about Rockstar North's games being almost exclusively developed for consoles. It's other Rockstar studios that port them to the PC, like Rockstar Toronto did with GTAIV and Episodes of Liberty City DLC.
It's never a guarantee to get a PC port, especially at the moment with their non committal yes or no ports to the next gen consoles, we may not get one at all. It's a matter of where they want to put the resources. I think they'll be a port, eventually, just not sure when.

Looks great. I've never played a GTA game before. I think this'll change my mind. Though I'll be waiting to see if Rockstar will port this to next-gen or not.

Saw the trailer and looks fabulous. GTA is a lovely swan song of this generation, and my pre order for the PS3 (the footage in the trailer) makes me glad I've picked it up on there.

Apparently this is coming to PCs. Maybe there's hope for a next-gen release? I hope so.
