Had you ever wished...

In a way,yes.But as of now, no.I'd rather know the dangers and face them then live in the dark without a care.You gotta grow up sometime,too bad its so soon.

 

Sometimes. I have more authority, opportunities, friends, etc, but when I want to rest, or get away from all the constant work I have, I would like to become a little kid again, and only have to worry about what kinds of ice cream I got after school or something trivial like that.

 

Sometimes I do. I liked it when I thought everything was beautiful and fun. Also when you could walk up to people your age and just play and not worry about how you look. And you would have fun without petty arguments.

Also if you were wearing the same shirt as someone else you thought it was neat and just wanted to play with them even more.

But in other ways I'm glad that I'm older. I'm a little better at speaking up for myself. Also I know a lot more.

 

I miss a lot of things about being a kid, like never having to think about bills and essays and careers and relationships and all the crap that comes with being an adult. I miss when summers seemed to last forever and the general lack of fear that meant I was capable of anything and the world belonged to me.

However, I have never wished to go back to being an innocent kid again. Being a child created a lot of fond memories for me and it is a time I look back on regularly, but there are a lot of great things about being older too. Being able to have your own mind, freedom, love, being able to be who you want to be. There is a lot of responsibility sure, but growing up isn't something to hate or hide from or try to resist, that would just be a waste of a life.

Sure there are times when life can be really ****ing hard, but generally, I love my life, to go back to being a kid would erase everything I have worked for and everything I have become. I wouldn't be me.

 

On reflection, what I wish more than to keep learning, is to return to my pre-high school weight (:rofl:) I weigh about 300 lbs now, and before I got into high school, I weighed about 100. I was a skinny little twig, and I loved it.

 

Well, when you're a kid, you want to grow up. As fun as it was to be a kid, being a kid forever would be some sort of hell. Being a kid, with knowledge of what it's like to be older would be better, but still, nobody would take you seriously.

 

yes and no. yes because we have little responsibility and everything came easy for us.
no because without our struggle in our everyday lifes, how will we ever grap the power to move on in and be strong when things get out of hand?

 

Yeah. My childhood was great. I could sometimes whine: "Aaagh, my childhood sucked!!", but that would be just me and I know it isnt true.

It is clearly visible in afterlife, if you had a good childhood or if you didnt have. Parents should offer their children something else than PS3, new clothes and blabla... Those wont make a good childhood, since you can get them as an adult too.

 

I would like to be a kid again, then I wouldn't have to deal with puberty. 0.0

ya at frist reading this i thguth oh yeah being a kid again. always being happy and now knowing so much bad stuff.

but if u could go back. maybe stuff would end up worse.
and haveing to re do all the hard things u ent through once would be a major drag.

so i guess u should be happy with how old u are and how things turned out so far.

 

Well you said it more poetic then me but yes. Many times I wished I was a little kid with no weight on my shoulders. I wish I could run, and laugh, and play. But those days are long gone, no matter how much we want them back.

 

no not really. I prefer being smart and not naive.

 

It would be quite nice to go back to the time when I was unaware of what a cage I'm in. Not to mention all the bad things going on in the world.

But ignorance isn't the most attractive concept anymore, considering all the lovely experiences adult life will have to offer. And that's coming fairly soon for me.

Dwelling on the past isn't ever really the best thing, either.

 

I have a very vivid memory of being very upset about something or another when I was around seven and telling my mom that I hated being a kid, and that I wanted to be a grown up. She laughed and told me that she'd said the exact same thing to her mom, and that her mom had told her this: "You're only a kid once, but you're an adult forever; you can't go back. You should enjoy your childhood while it lasts, because before you know it, it will be gone." She said that she didn't listen to her mom, and that she always wished she had.

I, of course, didn't listen either. But now I realize what a mistake that was. I do wish that I could go back sometimes. I was much happier when I lived in my own little bubble, didn't know about the hardships of the world, and didn't have responsibilities. Life was so carefree, and the only things I had to stress over were things like finishing my coloring homework (which my mom would help me with) or getting the most candy on Halloween.

The problem is that kids take childhood for granted. When we're kids, all we want to do is grow up, and when we're grown up, all we want to do is go back. As they say, "Youth is wasted on the young." Once we can finally appreciate how precious our youth really is, it is already gone. Being a grown up is scary. Being a kid is easy. I wish that I'd realized that when I was still a kid.

 

I have thought about this and I would live my life differently and make different choices. It would be nice to be free from bills, expenses, pressure from the outside world and just be ignorant at times for ignorance is bliss. I wouldn't want to know of everything that is happening in the world. I would rather be in my own.

 

I think it'd be nice to go back to every once in a while, but only if I could return to my real life when I got bored.​

 

kind of both, i love it that i know alot and can use it to my advantage.
but sadly i miss those times when you did not worry about the future
