Of course I missed it. And I'm sure a good few other people have.

Those times felt like they were worry free, a complete opposite to my present life now. xD; But yeah, I guess I see it now as an ignorant bliss. I'd much rather feel aware of the world around me, even if it feels less comfortable than when I was little.

    Atleast, I think that's a decent price. =X

    I think about it alot.

But If i wanted to go back to being the "goody-goody".. I wouldn't be who I am today.

I think everyone wishes at some point in their life that they can just become a lighthearted child again. People idolize their time as a child as secure and radiant times, and for some people, that is true. Sometimes you feel as though you need to just have a simple life again; one in which you're not stressed out by school/work, world issues, money, etc.

Like fadedphantom stated, we're always going to take the time we have for granted. When we were kids we didn't appreciate the life we had. We don't appreciate it now, and one day, we're going to wish we had. I don't want to spend this time period of my life wishing I could be a kid again. Pragmatically speaking, that will never happen. Yes, it's nice to look back and reminisce, but I want to make the most of this time.

As for changing things that happened in the past, I'd never want to do that. I'm a firm believer in the 'butterfly effect' -- if you change even the smallest thing, the entire course of your life (and the lives of others) can be completely and totally altered. Are there things I sometimes wish I didn't do, or that I'm embarrassed of? Of course, that's part of being human. But I wouldn't change it for the world, because it's made me into the person I am today.

On the topic of innocence and ignorance, I still try to retain part of that today. No, I am not as numbed to what is actually happening as a child is, but hearing all these awful things about war, murder, economic depressions -- it starts to wear down on a person, and I don't want that to happen to me.

At times, I do wish that, but I'm happy with how my life is now. for now, i just look back and reminisce the good times, and I live my current life to the fullest as I can.

and if I were to go back in time to change something, well, I wouldn't because I have no regrets of what I've done in the past, because it's made me into who I am today, and i rather not change one thing that changes the entire course of history.
