Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Saix sighed. "a heart would be nice.... but by betraying the organization... i've given up that dream.... so... the dream will stay a dream... but don't cry for me... i don't deserve the tears..."

 

Raiu nodded. He was teeling the truth and if this is what he wanted, to not have a heart but to stay with her and love her forever, then she respected it. She was so tired from the fight and it was already nighttime, really late nighttime in fact. "I'm so tired. Can you... lay here with me so I don't get nightmares? I'm still cold too..."

 

Saix nodded and got comfortable in the bed. he wrapped his good arm around her. he couldn't say 'i love you' because don't have emotions and it would just make him look like a fool.

 

Raiu turned around and buried herself into his body, trying to hide her face from him, as her face was red from the tears. Before she fell asleep, she said a few more words to let him know how she felt.

"Saix... don't leave me alone."

 

Saix had closed his eyes when he heard Raiu speak. "i won't..... i promise..." sleep overcame the deviner and he started to dream.

 

Raiu had started to dream again. She dreamed of a great ocean wave coming over her but she couldn't move, standing there accepting her fate. She was not afraid and no one was there. She had been alone all her life but now she was afraid to be alone. Raiu trembled in fear of her nightmare...

 

Saix awoke, feeling Raiu tremble. he hugged her tightly. "it's alright. i'm here." he whispered in her ear.

 

Raiu heard his voice, still asleep and she calmed down, no longer trembling. Why did her nightmares keep showing her alone, unable to move? Nobodies were destined to return to darkness and Saix had that same fate. She didn't want to be alone anymore. He promised her...

 

Saix noticed her calming down and went back to sleep. he would never leave her... he promised... and it wss a promise he was going to keep.

 

Raiu slep soundly since the nightmare went away. He promised to never leave her and protect her. She had to make a promise to him, one that she wouldn't break either. Maybe she could promise to... no, it was enough.

 

Saix continued with his dream. the diviner mumbled something in his sleep. Saix snored silently as he slept.

 

Raiu woke up several hours later to find the sun about to rise. She got out of bed and she opened the door to her window to let the breeze blow her hair back. She was no longer alone in her world but she sensed something sinister in the air. She backed away and laid back down on the bed, close to her protecter, where she would tell him.

 

Saix's eyes fluttered. he was no longer sleeping peacefully. the diviner opened his eyes to find Raiu beside him.

 

Raiu sat up, ready to talk. "Something's not right. I felt like someone was watching us for a second. But it didn't feel like your Superior either."

 

Saix sat up and yawned. "really? who does it feel like?" Saix glanced at his claymore leaning against the wall, ready to grab it and fight at any moment.

 

" I... I don't know really. I couldn't see his face. He was a thinner figure and he seemed a little... sinister. He also wielded a weapon I never saw before, like a sort of spinning weapon used to control fire or something like that." Raiu perked up and sensed him again. "I sense him again."

Saix groaned. "Axel... number VIII, The Flurry Of Dancing Flames... we know each other personaly..."

"Can I ask you something?" Raiu wdidn't even know the answer to this question herself but she had to get his opinion. "How strong do you think my heart is? Because I don't even know myself."

 

the diviner was silent for a moment. he hadn't known Raiu for that long... and even if he knew her for awhile... he had no idea what made a strong heart. but he knew this answer was true "the strongest i've ever seen." Saix replied.

 

"I'm sorry. I know you don't have a heart." Raiu wanted to cry for him again because he was such a Heartless being but at the same time... he did love her so much. This was one tale of love that could not exist forever for Raiu... "I'm... sad."
