Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Saix nodded. "when i was human..." the diviner sighed. "that's the only thing i've got from that time... i sort of remember when that was taken..."

 

Raiu still unable to look at him, tried to stop getting tears, but she couldn't. She gladly accepted it and put it in her pocket. She couldn't imagine losing him so soon because he was a Nobody. "I'm sorry, but I can't seem to stop." Every time she tried to wipe away her tears, they kept coming back.

 

Saix knelt down and hugged her. "no... don't apologise. it's natural for humans to cry... would you like to hear about when that picture was taken?"

 

Raiu nodded, still showing tears. She wanted as much about his past life as possible. But even so, somehow she still couldn't even look at him.

 

Saix started to tell the story.
"hey Isa!" Saix's friend called out.
Saix smiled and waved. "hey!"
"we're all getting our pictures taken. wanna join us?" Saix's friend asked.
"sure!" Saix said as he followed his friend to the photographer. he leaned against the wall and the photograper took his picture.

 

Raiu listened to the story carefully and slowly she bgean to stop showing tears. But even after what he told her and what happened, she still couldn't look at him. "Losing you so soon after just meeting you? That's something I really couldn't bear."

 

Saix hugged tighter. "it's like if i was human... we all gotta die sometime..." Saix said sadly. "my fate is to fade away... the time is never specified."

 

Raiu just continued to shed tears, as if she really was going to lose him already. "I still can't bear it though. It would be just too painful for my heart."

 

Saix sighed. "i miss having a heart and emotions... i'm not sure why... sure... i'd have happiness and love... but i'd also have sadness and hate..."

 

"That's one thing I don't understand myself. How do you seem to have emtoions and a heart when you don't have them at all?" Then Raiu wondered about something. When they met, he was his original cold heartless self but since they met, he has become kinder and even became a traitor. Did she change him? "It was me... I was the one who changed you."

 

Saix nodded. "i pretend to have a heart... it makes not having one a lot less painful..." the diviner sighed. he hated talking about hearts. he just wanted to ask one more question. "do i make you happy?"

 

Raiu finally gathered up her courage and looked at him for the first time. "What are you talking about? Of course you do... you were the first one to understand me. You may not exist, and we may be from different realms but we are alike."

 

Saix looked into her eyes. he wanted to kiss her but didn't want to seem pushy. he loved her as much as a Nobody could.

 

Raiu leaned her head against his chest, looking sad. "I don't when it will come, but I just can't bear the thought of you fading away."

 

Saix layed a hand on her head as the urge grew. "i can't bear the thought of leaving you alone..." the urge grew even more. he resisted it.

 

Raiu knew he was telling the truth and even so, she still continued to shed tears. "I... I love you", she whispered under her breath.

 

Saix didn't know what to say. he wanted to say 'i love you too' but that would make him look like a fool. but it was how he felt. "i love you too." he kissed her passionatly.

 

Raiu accepted his kiss and sat there, letting him kiss her. She then wrapped her arms around him, letting him know how much she does care for him. She buried her face into his shoulder and shed tears once more. Raiu clung to Saix tightly, not wanting to let him go.

 

Saix kissed the top of Raiu's head. he hugged her tightly. "i do love you... you know that right?" the diviner asked.

 

Raiu nodded slightly while still bearing tears. She didn't want to ever be apart from him, not even for one minute. "With my heart, as hard and heavy as it is to bear, I can't even bear to be apart from you." Raiu had been pouring out her feelings to Saix and this is how she truly felt.
