Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Raiu hung her head in disappointment because when he said that, she suddenly thought of Saix fading away, which would devastate her. She wiped away the tears that were suddenly coming down her. "Fading away... it's your fate."

 

Saix nodded sadly. "it's my fate... it can't be stopped..." he sighed. he didn't want to leave Raiu alone...

 

"It's OK, I understand." She thought about her mother, how she calm she was and how caring she was for Raiu.

 

Saix sighed. "i wish i could bring your mother back...." he said as he stared at the gravestone.

 

Raiu just shook her, saying no. "She's gone and not cming back. It's the way of our world. Once someone has died, they can't come back." She had to believe in the ways of her world and itwouldn't make sense not to either.

 

Saix nodded as he stared at the gravestone. he wondered why he joined Organization XIII in the first place.

 

Raiu didn't want him to be too disappointed with the way things were in her world and she just remembered of a saying. "There is an old saying. People always say... that once loved ones die, they go to the skies, and watch over them in the form of stars. Maybe my mother is up there."

 

Saix smiled a little and looked up at the sky. "maybe.... it's a nice thought at least." he turned his gaze back to the gravestone.

 

Raiu looked at the gravestone one more time then turned to Saix. "Do you think... you'll go to the stars when you die? That way, you can watch over me?"

 

Saix was a little surprised by the question. he decided to answer with the truth. "when a nobody dies.... they don't go where humans go.... but i'll make sure i do."

 

"You are different from other Nobodies and it has been said that Nobodies fade to darkness when they die, but since you're different, you will go to the stars right?"

 

Saix nodded. "i'm sure i will..." he kissed Raiu deeply. it felt strange kissing her at her mother's grave... it was like he was kissing Raiu in front of her mother.

 

Raiu accepted his kiss and she couldn't think of a better place, at her mother's grave and it was to show her mother that she was happy and planned to be.

 

Saix kept kissing her. he remembered something his friend told him about gay relationships. he laughed a little while kissing.

 

Raiu just sunk into his warmth, unable to move. He had made another promise to her: to make it to the stars when he dies, that way he can watch over her and still be with her.

 

Saix broke the kiss. he looked at Raiu and smiled. "want to hear something funny?" he asked as he kept chuckling.

 

Raiu just kinda looked at him blankly. "Uhhh... sure. What is it?" She wondered why he was being a little funny all of a sudden.

 

Saix nodded. "a long time ago, a friend of mine told me something about gay relationships... he said. 'every gay relationship starts with a handshake.' after he said that, i wouldn't shake a guy's hand for weeks."

 

Raiu tried not to, but she hid her face and she laughed quite a bit. It was quite funny and she didn't know why but she had to laugh.

 

Saix chuckled. "funny. i know." he wondered if his friend was even still alive. Saix doubted it... but it was always good to hope.
