Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Raiu walked over to Marluxia and grabbed his hand without look at him. "Thank you." She then ran to Saix and embraced him tightly. She also started to cry a little bit. "I... I have no idea what I should say to you right now."

 

Saix wrapped his arms around her. "you don't have to say anything."
Marluxia smiled. "no problem dear." he held his hands over the gravestone. the same blue wild flowers started appearing.

 

Raiu looked as the same flowers started to grow. She became happy and touched them, like they were still here. "They're the same as they were." She turned to Marluxia and smiled. "You made it the same... I can trust you now."

 

Marluxia gave her a hug. "glad to do it." he let go. "well... i better get going." he opened a portal. "see you all later."

 

Raiu embraced Marluxia back and smiled as he went off. But then she turned to Saix and ran towards him to embrace him. "It looks exactly the same as it did before."

 

"see?" Saix hugged her. "i told you Marly could do it." he smiled.

 

"I'm just happy that he kept his word." Raiu started to have tears of happiness and she tried to wipe them away. She looked back at the gravestone of her mother. "She's probably feeling good for me that I'm being happy once more."

 

Saix smiled again. "i do my best." he hugged her tighter and kissed her on the cheek.

 

"Even though it was bad at first, this year's visit was probably the best one." Raiu then looked down at the path leading back down the mountains. But then she ran back to the gravestone and looked at it one more time. "Mother... next year when I come, I'll bring him with me again." She turned to Saix, letting him know it was time. "We should go back home."

 

Saix yawned. "you're right." he started walking slowly down the path. it would probably be night by the time they got back.

 

Raiu started to walk behind him but she was stumbling a little bit, and she fell to the ground a little tired. She sat up and yawned.

 

Saix chuckled. he walked up to her. "would you like for me to carry you?" he asked with a smile.

 

Raiu looked at him and smiled. She nodded because she was pretty tired. She got on to his back and held on as he would carry her.

 

Saix walked forward with Raiu on his back. "you can sleep if you want. i'll keep a hold on you." he smiled.

 

Raiu nodded and with a yawn. She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. She was pretty tired from everything today. But before she fell asleep completely, she said something in a quiet tone. "Thank you for coming with me today." Then she fell asleep...

 

Saix smiled when he heard her. "it was my pleasure." he continued walking the path.

 

Raiu didn't answer, as she had already fallen asleep. But she had always known from the first moment they started being together, she would start to have better sleep.

 

Saix stumbled into the small house. he yawned as he set Raiu down on the bed and layed beside her. he fell asleep instantly.

 

Raiu continued to sleep peacefully, unaware that she was now on her bed. This would be another good night's sleep for her, and a night's sleep is just what she wanted after today.

 

Saix started dreaming of him and Raiu again... but it felt different... more natural and less awkward...
