Heavy, Non-Existent Heart

Raiu suddenly woke up from her sleep, feeling strange. She sat up again and started coughing up blood again. It hurt her throat and chest to cough so hard.

 

Saix awoke to Raiu coughing. he stood up and looked at her. "do you need some water?" he asked.

 

Raiu shook her head and took her hands away from her mouth, revealing the blood on her hands. She hated being sick like this.

 

Saix took the wet rag and wiped the blood off of her face and hands. "it pains me to see you like this...."

 

Because Raiu couldn't speak as her voice was too scratchy, she held one of his hands, trying to let him know that it wasn't his fault and she shook her to say no either.

 

Saix hugged her gently, hoping not to hurt her. he pulled away. he took the rag off her forehead and got it wet again. he put it back on her forehead.

 

Because of how red her face was from the high fever, she did turn red a little bit when he held her. She laid back down as the rag was back on her to keep her fever down.

 

Saix sat back down in the chair beside the bed. he wanted to give Raiu some space... so he didn't get in the bed... even though he could hardly keep his eyes open.

 

Raiu wanted to ask something but she really couldn't ask him because of her voice. She grabbed his hand and gave a signal, trying to ask him if Nobodies could get sick like regular humans.

 

it took Saix awhile but he realised what she was asking. he yawned. "i'm not sure. i never really think about it."

 

Raiu just looked up, looking gravely ill. She gave him another signal, trying to tell him that she hated being sick.

 

Saix stroked her hair. he nodded, showing he understood. he gave her a light kiss on the lips.

 

Raiu opened her mouth sticking out her tongue and pointing. It looked like she was asking for water.

 

Saix nodded and got the cup off of a nearby table. he filled it with water and repeated what he did earlier.

 

Raiu drank the water and laid back down. Being treated by Saix felt comforting to her. She started to feel sleepy again and told him she was ready to sleep again by giving him more signs.

 

Saix gave her another kiss on the lips. except this time, it was a little deeper. he sat down in the chair.

 

Raiu soon fell asleep and she practically was asleep for the rest of the day. The fever was kept under control by the cold water under the cloth. That same night, she woke up again, feeling thirsty. She grabbed Saix's hand, asking for more water.

 

Saix nodded. he found the cup and repeated the whole process. "feeling any better?" Saix asked.

 

Raiu nodded and continued to hold his hand. By the feeling of it, it seemed like she was asking him to talk to her, since she couldn't. She didn't care what it was, she just wanted him to talk to her.

 

Saix smiled at her. "that's good." he suddenly gave in to a voice inside that was screaming at him to ask this question... "Raiu... i love you... will you marry me?" Saix froze. (Saix right now---> O_O)
