Here we go again

"Im going to get dressed propperly so I can see my mother"she said

 

"Okay." Casey nodded his head as he slowly let go of her.

 

she got up and quickly went into their bedroom

Maddie came sprinting out of her room and hugged her father from behind"why's Mummy sad?"

 

Casey turned around and picked her up. "Ermm... Well... You know how Grandad hasn't been too well recently?"

 

"Grandpa Lewie? yeah."

 

"Well... He got a lot worse this morning..."

 

"Poor grandpa he gonna be ok?"

 

Casey sighed heavily, deciding it was best to just come out and say it. They were going to find out sooner or later. "No Maddie... He isn't..."

 

she tilted her head slightly "Has he gone to play with the angels?"she asked

 

"I guess you could put it like that." Casey nodded.

 

"He'll be ok now..."she smiled"and so will Mummy and everyone...things will get better...you wont be sad forever."

 

"At least you're fairly cheerful about this."

 

she shrugged"only because I know things will be ok...He wont be forgotten....he would never be...because He'd be with us still...in our memories and hearts."

 

Casey chuckled slightly. "You're cute you know."

 

"she smiled"I know."then she looked around"why was mummy being sick this mornning?" Lyra had yet still to tell her children of the new arival and after Cory's tantrum after telling him about the twins,she was a little hesitant.

 

"Now that's something I think Mummy needs to tell you, not me."

 

Her eyes widened "is it serious?"

 

"It's not bad or anything, don't worry."

 

"Ooooh! I think I know!"Maddie giggled,for a 3 year old,she was either very smart or just very observive"Lisa was like that before she went big and had Zarrah....Is Mummy having a baby?"

 

"Maybe." Casey chuckled.
