Suppose you were on an island, deserted by yourself. The only food source you have is yourself. You start eating yourself by decapitating your body parts. Would you gain weight or lose weight?
Well, in actuality you would die, but I'll humor you. You would lose weight. Your body would digest your body parts faster than you can consume them. Also have to account for blood loss.
You would lose weight. (Assuming you wont die from this or pass out) Sure, you can eat your arm but that doesnt account for all the blood spurting out from where it used to be. And you probably can't bite through your own bones. (Nor would you want to)
You'd lose weight. Limbs themselves are very heavy, you'd be eating them in small amounts and not all at once, plus your metabolism would be working like CRAZY trying to heal your body and fight infection. All the food you eat would immediately be used by your body to survive. There'd actually be almost no use in doing it, you'd be hindering yourself more then anything else.
What everyone else said. Also, it takes energy to digest food at the best of times so through just your body digesting your food you would loose weight. Nevermind the blood loss and energy loss dues to healing and immune function.
I have a feeling this was one of those riddles where we were supposed to answer "your weight would stay the same"
The water is polluted with ****. All the creatures of local sea died months ago, and so did the birds who tried to eat the dead fish.
Against myself? Heck no. I don't wanna face that tough of an opponent. I might play solitaire with aforementioned ants though.
you'd lose weight, because you're digesting yourself. still, its an island, wont there be water all around you???
That would be like drinkin your own pee. But I think that has a bit different taste, I wouldn't really know. Maybe because it's yellow. And why is pee salty actually? Wait.. Why am I talking about pee? Because you're an idiot, and don't you forget it. PS = Love your username btw, 6.
Damn you beat me to it. =\ I thought blood loss would have been an easy stab for obvious loss of weight rather than eating what you lose means you gain/lose nothing. Oh well.
