Isn't it ironic that with this post you were the first to even remotely touch on race? Anyway, that's not necessarily true, though it does happen far too often.

True. Sometimes I think some white people don't like hip hop because it was made by black people, but that probably isn't it.

like i said, most rap music i find repulsive because of all the sex, violence, drugs, gun references, gang references, and the like. STILL there is GOOD rap music out there, some songs i can actually listen too and there's a couple songs i like. i also listen to power 96 everyday on the trip to school so i look forward to listening to DJ Laz, the Hollywood, gossip, and the traffic!, (i take the highway home sometimes on the way to my boyfriend's house)

Hey. You know, people just talk about what's real and sometimes people just reject it and don't always want to hear it. You gotta live with it.

Eh...he should follow the footsteps of Akon. I know Akon is R&B but he should produce like 2-3 hits and then get featured on EVERYONE'S track from Gwen Stefani to DJ Khaled. Either way, he needs to act fast. He managed to save himself by putting out Soulja Girl and Yah Trick but its been a while since his last hit and hes almost forgotten. You have to admit you've never heard of Chamillionaire again after Ridin Dirty right? Well, after the weird Al parody at least.

That's not always true. It happens, but most reasonable people don't let the race of the artist affect them. I just don't like the genre (except a few songs). The fact that it's a predominantly black genre doesn't affect my decision at all, and I'm sure most users here will feel the same.

i've know the truth of the world since a very young age,(what with all the homophobes and overly-religious people putting me down all the time) whats Real in the world is, has , and always will be PAINFULLY obvious to me.

Well, Soulja Boy's came out with two other singles after that. They're called "Let me Get 'em" and "Donk", but they weren't as popular, I think. Anyway, he's producing for other artists and he's featured on a song with Bow Wow, too (not to mention produced it). And his second album is coming in November with a sure fired hit. :3

Hopefully he'll whore his self out by being on everyone else's songs like Akon and T-Pain just to not be forgotten. xD

    Yeah...
I actually like Eminem as a rapper. Hes good at it and MOST of the time he has something to say. Although I pretty much like all his songs because they're funny/stupid and occasionally serious like "When I'm Gone" or "Cleaning out my closet"
