High School Life

Lexi backed out of the mall and drove home. Her cellphone ringed the tune from Tokyo Drift. She picked it up and answered. "Hello?"
"Hey it's Travis," His voice was low. Travis was already home watching tv.
"Ohh hey,"
"Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?"
"You nevered asked. Besides, I thought you had someone"
"I did.. but she's gone from my life now"
"Oh really?"
"what her and I had wasn't anything important"
"sure, whatever"
"Lexi... I've really missed you,"
"I have too but... it's too late now"

 

Lexi got home after finishing talking to Travis. She needed a bath. So she ran up to her room and filled up the bathtub and got in. She sighed and relaxed in the water while her cellphone was next to her on a table.

 

Mark was the only one who stayed in the parking lot. He thought to himself. I can't last till next week with this. The only way I could is if I stole. He picked up a large brick in the backseat of his car. He thought about breaking in and stealing some money. He realized then he had no choice.. He hopped out of the car and stood in front of the window of the store he had bought a sword from. He threw the rock at the window making it shatter and hopped in. The alarm was blaring so he had to hurry. Mark bashed in the register and stuffing bills in his pockets then jumped back out but cut his leg on glass and dropped his school ID. He jumped back in his car and sped away and didn't look back.

Mark finally reached home. It was a normal sized house not to big not to small. He only ad to support himself anyway. He walked in shutting and locking the door behind him and sat on the couch. He groaned to himself as he pulled the glass out of his leg. His hands were still shaking he had stolen things before when he was younger. Candy, toys, trading cards, kid stuff never anything like this. He sat there looking at his shaking hands that had blood on them.

 

Lexi slipped more of her head in the water. Now it was up to her nose. She didn't know what to do. She sat there and thought about her options.

 

Lexi was calm and relaxed. Then Tokyo Drift came on the broke the slience. She sat up straight while wiping her hand on the towal before she picked up the phone, "Hello?" She said quietly.

 

"Ohh, that's nice of you but I'm okay" She made splashes in the water. "I'm just taking a bath right now, needed to relax. So what's up?"

 

Mark sat at the table and counted the money he grabbed. Three hundred bucks it would tide him over until more money came the next week. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed. "It was wrong but I needed it. It doesn't make me wrong." He said as his hands started shaking again.

 

"If you would like" She sounded suddenly happy. "I'll go get ready," She said and hanged up the phone. Lexi got out from the tub and drained the water. She went back to her room and got changed into a tank top with sweat pants. Lexi went downstairs to sit on the couch and then she saw Travis at the door. "How-" She asked but was interrupted by Travis saying "Alfred let me in" Lexi said "He's coming over now...."
"Oh really?"
"Yes... unless you don't him to kick your ass then.."
"I'll stay" He said and hung his jacket on the hook.
"Okay, so how are you?"
"I'm good, I brought my laptop over so I can show you the coolest places in Hong Kong" He said holding up his bag.
"haha, okay.. set it up in the living room"

 

Mark sighed and paced back and forth around the table. "I need to get away from this." He said before walking out of his house and getting into his car. He started it up letting loud heavy metal play on the radio and sped away. He passed the store again seeing police outside making him tense up. "Don't look back, don't look back."

 

Lexi heard Alaric's car. "He's here," she told Travis, "Be good" Travis just laughed and plugged some cables into the TV. Lexi opened the door for Alaric, "Hey" She smiled.

"Hey man, don't get any idea.... I'm just here to show Lexi the photos from Hong Kong" He smiled. "and I think we should call it truce too, I understand that you're her boyfriend but I'm like her best friend" Travis said ask her plugged in the last wire. Lexi held Alaric's hand and pulled him to Travis, "Okay.. guys.. shake on it. I'll be back to get some popcorn," Lexi left the room.
