Hitler to be in German AIDS Awareness Advert

People don't necessarily know they have AIDS all the time. It's true aids is a mass-murderer, but not the people who have it (unless they know they have it and try to go around having sex with people to get them sick too, which is very unlikely), which is why pinning Hitler's face on some random guy doesnt make sense.

 

The two people having sex isn't probably meant to be two literal people. They're supposed to represent "Generic Woman #3" and AIDS.

Therefore, it's like two ideas having sex, rather than two people.

 

FACT: Hitler never killed a single person. He never signed his name to any document relating to 'The Jewish Question.' (Any and all commands from Hitler to his underlings were always vocal.)
FACT: Hitler never set foot in any of the concentration camps. (Heinrich Himmler was the one who oversaw what was deemed The Final Solution after the death of Reinhard Heydrich in the summer of 1942.)*

I do not like this tactic at all. Since it demonizes the people who have AIDS no matter how they got it. It puts AIDS victims in the same light as Nazis. Nazism is not a virus. Nazism was a political view. The Nazis had a choice to make. Some made the right choice. A virus cannot choose. A virus does not have higher reasoning to choose one person over another.

What if a person gets the virus from a blood transfusion? What if some innocent person goes to a concert and gets pricked by a needle someone with the HIV virus used on themselves, thus getting AIDS by going to a concert?

You do not need to have sex to get AIDS. If you think that then you need to wake up from your dream world.


*I am not defending the man known as Adolf Hitler. He was an evil man who deserved his death. Who deserved to die a coward as the Soviets marched on Berlin. I'm just relaying facts based on the so far evidence collected to oppose this idea.

It HAS happened. Darfur, Rwanda, Kosovo, Pol Pot, and all too many other proves that Genocide is an all too accepted reality in the world. What needs to stop is the primitive human notion of US vs THEM, of in-groups and out-groups.

And what needs to stop above all, is such antics as this anti-aids commercial.

And this ad is very creepy in my opinion. I mean what if the children see this. This could completely distort their minds. (well I'm exaggerating a bit)

 

If you want to be literal, then Abstinence is technically a birth control method.

Yeah, it incredibly lowers the chances. Unlike the genocide, where your only chance was to hide and abandon everything you had.

I'll admit, this statement is true. I will, however, dispute something. They were SHOVELING dead bodies into the ditches they had. AIDS is like a death clock. And every time is different. So you still have time to live your life and have a peaceful death in some cases. In concentration camps, they shot you for talking. Now compare the two as murderers. Huge difference if you get into technical terms.

Wouldn't count on it. They're aware of the campaign's existence but many will just shrug AIDS off like they used to. I myself wouldn't fall for it just because they implemented Hitler's face in this.

 

Well, that's because very few people watch commercials/look at ads anyways. They tried to gain attention nor the campaign by doing something controversial. Tell me, when people in Germany think of AIDS now (at least for a while), they'll remember this ad campaign, and when they think of Hitler, they just might also remember the campaign.

 

I think the main reason is that many campaigns are just campaigns without more. They often forget or forsake to give actual useful information.
Why is AIDS a mass murderer like Hitler? What can it do to your body?
Of course we know this by now, but all I'm saying is that empty campaigns don't cut it anymore.

 

There really is no evidence to support Hitler being Jewish. If there were such evidence, he himself would have destroyed it. There are always whispered theories of a grandmother to Hitler being Jewish but there is no real credible documentation to support this.

The theory that Hitler was half-Jewish was likely negative propaganda.

But this is getting off the chosen topic. My original opinion still stands.

Not "People with AIDS are mass murderers."

But I get where you're coming from.
