Lyra gave her parents the slip in diagone ally,she walked quickly,just in case anyone saw her,she had know...she had to be sure...she turned the corner and went into the magical pharmacy,only one way to find out.

 

Whilst Lyra had snuck off from her family, Casey was stuck with his own. His mother had gone off with his oldest sister to go buy some new robes and to have a look around for a dress for her prom that was to take place that school year during the Spring Term. Which had left him babysitting for the terrible twins Ben and Jenie. Both of whom were now seven years old and as wild as ever. He was having to tear down alleyways to retrieve them, blocking them from going into Knockturn Alley, bargaining with them for even just a moment's rest.
"Come on Mum... I have stuff I need to buy too..." He mutter wearily to himself, after all he was having to be Head Boy this year. He had to have everything to set a good example for everyone else in the school, or at least so he'd been told in his letter.

 

"Mum...i can go shopping by myself you..."Jordan complained loudly

"shush,where Lyra gone off too?"


Lyra tucked the box into her bag and hurried down the street,she did a double take seeing Casey,she walked over.she hadnt seen much of him this summer due to her 'having a summer bug.'

"Oh, heyo Lyra." Casey said, sweeping his longish blonde hair from his face as a gust of wind blew it across; blocking his sight of both the two little monsters he was minding and Lyra. Although looking at Lyra made his heart race and his mind trip over itself he couldn't help but look at her whilst she was around. Even if it meant walking into the occasional wall or lamp-post, which he had done numerous times over the last couple of years.

 

"see your on Babysitting duty again huh?"She joked

 

"Oh yeah, as usual. I feel like a nanny, only I don't get paid for it." He chuckled as he ruffled the back of his hair. "At least I get to set them on people who annoy me I guess."

 

"I'll try not annoy you then "she laughed

"I doubt you could anyway." He replied, going back to watching the two children running around in circles playing a never-ending game of tag with each other.

"That's what they want you to think, they lull you into a false sense of security then attack you when you least expect." Casey said, raising an eyebrow in a suspicious manner. "And then, ah then, you see just how dangerous two cute looking children can be."

 

"You sure you just arent doing you whole drama-queen thing?"Lyra asked raisin a eyebrow

 

"Oh I'm deadly serious Ly. One distracts whilst the other one sneaks up behind you and eats your spleen!" He said, pulling himself up to his fullest hight and looming over her like a effeminate shinigami.

 

she laughed"eats your spleen? Casey...how much sugar have you had today?"

 

"Okay, so that was over dramatic." Casey chuckled. Quickly diverting the subject from just how high his sugar intake from just that day alone was. "So how are you anyway?"

 

"Meh...I've been worse."she said twirling a strand of her hair,making it curl"been better..."
