Lyra unzipped her dress,laying it on the bed

a while later Lyra was sitting on the bed,still not in her dress,putting her make-up on,her hair piled uncerimoniously ontop of her head
"Mumm! lookies! i looks pretty dont i?"Maddie said running in the room,her longish blonde hair,curled and flying behind her,she twirled once in her little gold dress,a golden ribbion around her hairband
"you look like a princess sweetie."

 

Elle, who was sat on the edge of Lyra's bed in her longer, more mature version, of the little girls' dresses. She was gently pulling a large paddle brush through her dirty-blonde hair and talking to her own daughter. "Jamei, stop it." She snapped pointing the brush ominously at the girl. "You'll get your hair messy."

"I dun care!" Jamei whined stamping her little socked feet. "It's pulled back too tight! It hurts, and I HATE dresses! They get in the way and stuffs..."

"And I don't care if you don't like dresses or not you little madam. You're wearing it, you're not going to be rolling around in it and you're not going to keep trying to flatten your hair just because you dislike curls!" Elle scolded, waving the brush at her threateningly.

"Fine." Jamei retorted sulkily, crossing her arms and half falling and half sitting down in the middle of the floor in a Baby-Elle level pout.

"Care to swap children Lyra?" Elle sighed, rolling her eyes at Jamei's sulk.

 

"you know i would Elle...but...My baby girl's just a little angel...."she grinned"its you who jamei's gets it from though..."

 

"When I was her age I would of loved to be in dresses and of had my hair done and things so I looked pretty. But seriously, this girl is such a tomboy it's not even funny."

 

"it kinda is funny,cos she's your little girl...i was never like Maddie...maybe there was a mix up with the girls, somehow magically you got the wrong one and so did i..."she joked"im kidding."

 

"Seems Maddie's a mini-me and Jamei's a mini-you." Elle giggled.

 

"yep..weridly enough..."she grinned

 

"Must mean your's is more Malfoy then anything and mine's more Potter I guess."

"You sure you don't want to swap though?" Elle sighed as she prodded Jamei with her bare foot.

"Mee-eeeh!" Jamei whined as she nearly toppled over onto the floor. Being forced to stop chewing on the end of her gold silken skirt.
