she sighed"I dont know....this guy didnt seem to get very far...but far enough to put her into hyterics...Hopefully this potion helps her sleep..maybe she;ll be better in the mornning....remeber I had to take it after everyone found out what Zane had done? and that I was pregnant? I was...well not fine the next day....but I was...I dont now better that people knew....shes lucky...if Mickey had been normal....she probably would have gotten much worse."


he groaned"Great....I already have a headache thinking about it."

 

"S-Sorry..." Lake mumbled through her tears.

Casey wandered over and hugged her, he always did whenever Zane came up in conversation. Just the thought of what she must of gone through and how Casey hadn't been able to help made his heart ache and stomach churn.
"Yeah, despite what he did it got the job done..."

"Doesn't take much to give you a headache though." Elle cackled as she wandered into the room, a dishcloth in one hand and a plate in the other.

 

"You dont have to apolgize"he grinned


she smiled"well...At least I have one thing to thank Zane for....Cory...but lets not bring up the past....Lake will be fine....Im sure of it....she may not seem it...but im positive...deep down inside her...shes as tough as all of us..."Lyra said"she has to be to be able to keep coming back...what with you around"she joked

Lake smiled slightly once again and blinked her eyes blearily. She was becoming very sleepy very quickly.

Casey chuckled slightly as he gently brushed her hair with his hand. "Let's just hope Mickey can be as quick to support her as he is to defend her."

"Who's fault is it then? I'm not exactly stupid, and neither's your Dad." She snorted.

 

"Whoever dropped me as a child."he grinned

"You werent dropped"sophie said"you just choose to be a idiot."


"well...if hes anything like you....he will be."


"Tired?"he asked

 

"You're just ******ed." Elle grinned cheekily. "Like several of your Potter relatives."

"You're too kind Ly." Casey chuckled softly.

Lake nodded slightly, slumping down slightly.

 

"People tell me that all the time"she grinned


"Your Uncle James....and your Great-great uncle James....and My Granda's dad,James...thats where you get it..."


"Do Potter's like the friggin' name James much?"he rolled his eyes


"C;mon...bedtime"he laughed pulling her to her feet

 

"I guess it's just a little vice of your's I'll have to live with." Casey chuckled, leaning down slightly and kissing her forehead.

"It's because the Potter's are stupid and can't come up with new names dear. That's why they had to merge with the Malfoys, needed some intelligence in the gene-pool." Elle smiled sweetly, looking up at her husband.

"Oh!" Lake exclaimed as she was unsuspectingly pulled from her sleepy state. She lost what little balance she'd managed to gain and fell straight at Mickey. Quickly she grabbed hold of him, gripping him in a hug around his waist as she continued to fall.

 

"Yes and most of your family being named after star constillations is so normal"Alex said

she smiled"You coming up to bed? its getting late...or will we wait untill the Children are asleep?"she joked

"I got you."he grinned rocking back slightly

 

"I never said we were normal, we're better then normal. We're intelligent and unique." Elle grinned smugly.

"It's entirely up to you." Casey smiled.

"Thank you." Lake said, looking up at him. Her eyes sparkling still with fear and tears.

 

"Its uh...its ok..."he said ducking his head to hide his reddened face behind his hair...a new thing he'd taken to doing since he'd let it grow

she grinned"we could wait untill Cory's back...then go up"


"Im not like other Potters...Im smart and stuff."

 

Lake blushed faintly too, quickly she looked away from him.

"If you want."

"You keep telling yourself that sweetie."

 

"Um....well...I'd better go back down stairs...y'know..."He said


"I will!"


she grinned again

 

"Please don't..." Lake mumbled, regaining her stance and balance whilst tightening her hold on him subconsciously.

"Denial is such a strong feeling to you Potters." Elle giggled, wiping down the plate with the towel before disappearing back into the kitchen.

 

"You....want me to stay here?"


Alex rolled his eyes

Shawn headed towards the stairs"welp....Im going to bed and...dont wake me up Soph,I know you will..."he said


"Are all teenage boys in this family Lazy sods?"

 

Lake nodded slightly, the blush on her face reddening slightly. "P-Please..."

"Your Uncle Casey wasn't, so it must be another Potter thing." Elle called out of the kitchen.

 

he nodded"Ok."

"Cory,Mickey and Ronan were the same though...Mickey' still the same."

 

"Th-Thank you..." Lake mumbled, her eyes growing heavy with tiredness and slowly shutting.

"Technically Cory isn't genetically Malfoy in anyway, so he does't count against my point."

 

"Well...Ronan isnt Malfoy either.
"


He helped her to his bed

 

"So he doesn't count either. You're just digging a deeper hole here."

Lake shuffled over to the bed with Mickey's help.
