OBJECTIVES:

Receive letter. Must receive letter first before Diagon Alley. You control when you get your letter,
but your character must read it in text. They can't just receive it then be off on their way.
Unless their absent minded of course...xD Muggle-borns receive letter by postman; purebloods or half-bloods by owl.

Travel to Diagon Alley. If youre character(s) live in London, via the Leaky Cauldron. If your character(s) lives in any other UK territory besides England, via floo powder and into the Leaky Cauldron
fireplace.

Buy the needed school supplies for your year:

One Petwer Cauldon(1st years), one set of brass scales(1st years), One pair of dragon skin gloves
or similiar(1st years and others, if new gloves are needed), basic potion ingrediants, three sets of
standard school uniforms, including cloaks, one winter cloak with silver fasteners. They may
bring if they desire, a cat OR a toad OR an Owl OR a rat OR a bat.(Whatever you picked for
your character in the coresponding template part).

TIME LIMIT: Until Aughust 31st(Game time)

OOC: I just realized. The time we start is the same date all of the books start...xD A month before
September...XD

BIC:

Hazel eyes opened on yet another day in beautiful southern Ireland. Young Base Keaton stretched as
he got up that morning, hopefully awaiting his Hogwarts notice owl. Slowly, he edged his way off the bed,
and slipped into a pair of blue denim jeans a emerald green T-shirt, with two yellow "K"s overlapping
on the front of the shirt. Then, he made his way into the small house's bathroom, brushing his teeth
and takeing a quick shower, knowing this may be the last chance to get clean before leaving for Diagon
Alley. Combing his jet-black hair and styling it a bit, he calmly walked out of the bathroom, then
walking towards the kitchen.

The smell of freshly cooked bacon filled his nose as he sat down, a small plate of fried eggs, bacon strips,
and hash browns was conjured up in front of him. And by "conjured up" it meant they had been magicked there as he sat down. Base Keaton came from half muggle, half magical backgrounds,
a fair blood status in the wizarding world,..but not the most respected. He looked down
at the plate hungrily, just about to dig in when he heard a rapping sound on the kitchen
window.

Putting his knife and fork down, he quickly raced to the window to let it open, wind
and white feathers gusting about as he did. His letter for Hogwarts had arrived
with Episkey, his pet snowy owl. Episkey landed on the table, foot planted right in
the butter dish, the ruddy owl always being such a clutz. But, at least he delivered
all of Base's letters fast enough.

Episkey's sudden landing caught Mrs. Keaton offguard, weilding a spatuala to shoo
Episkey off of the table, the bird flying off as its wing was almost amputated by the
metal instrument.

Frazzled, but happy Episkey was off the table now, Mrs. keaton sat down at the table,
laying back in her chair with a smile.
"Go on, Sebastian. Read what it says!" Base's mother urged.

Base had no intentions of disobeying such an order, and quickly opened the thick
yellow parchment, with words written in emerald green ink. On the inside it wrote:
Dear Mr. Sebastian Paul Keaton, we are pleased to inform you that you have been
welcomed back for another year at Hogwarts, school of witch craft and wizardry. We hope
you have had a wonderful summer. Term begins September 1st.
We ask that you fill up on the usual ingrediants for potions, and purchase the following
items listed below.

Base flipped it open even more, a much smaller, folded parchement falling out onto
the table. he snatched it up and read the contents:
Fourth year potion ingrediants, three sets of school robes, and a winter cloak, newly fitted
Quidditch robes and standard book of spells, volume four.
What caught Base off guard most of all was a notice at the bottom which read further:
Please note, due to a new lesson plan at Hogwarts, you are also required as a fourth
year to aquire the following books: Self-transfiguation, a guide to animagustry.

Self-transfiguration had never been taught at Hogwarts before, for all Base knew.
Why would they start something so new so quickly? Whatever was going on,
it wasn't like it was something he couldn't look forward to. He even heard
Remus Lupin was teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts this year, who was
known quite well for his knowledge of magical and dark creatures.

Tucking the list away in his pocket, he finished up his breakfast in a flash,
eager to get on with it and get to diagon alley as fast as possible. When he had finally
finished, his mother, just in as much a hurry, placed the pot of floor powder in
Base's hands, causing Base to cock an eyebrow.
"I thought dad wouldn' allow floo powder." base said confusedlym looking
to his mother, who smiled cheerfully.

"I'll him you caught the boat before he got home." She said with a wink.
Then she nudged Base into the fireplace quickly, hearing the slamming of a car
door outside. "Which means you better hurry!"

Base was about to object when his mother practically read his mind.
"Don't worry about your things, I'll send them to the Leaky Cauldron
myself, don't worry." She said hurriedly, footsteps drawing closer to the
doorway.

And so, with that, Base took a handful of Floo powder, tossing it into the fireplace with a flourish, yelling "Diagon Alley", as he did. Instantly, green, tickling flames engulfed him,
sending him spinning into the limbo travelling area of the magical world, just as
Mr. Keaton opened the door.

OOC: Whoever can tell me what Base's favorite Quidditch team is, they'll receive
10 house points for their house when Term starts. PM the answer to me,
and whoever Pms me first gets the house points. Don't think it's a trick question
either, it's actually pretty easy, if you've read the books.

 

The Sun rose toward the window, representing that it was morning and it was time to rise. Slow soft, breathing was heard from the other side of the window. A blond haired girl was sleeping. As the sun rays blocked her eyes., her eyes opened revealing cerulean blue eyes. A Bengal cat suddenly climbed on her bed, and started to lick her cheek. "OK Viscus, I'm up" she said and got up. The cat's brown eyes was watching her intently. Alyssa smiled at the cat and scratched his head. "Good Morning to you to, Viscus" she said. The cat pured and climbed on her shoulder. Alyssa rose out of her bed, to go to the bathroom. Her gentle, quiet, morning.
While combing her hair, Alyssa ran downstairs, Viscus at her heels, to the kitchen. In the kitchen, she saw her mother cooking breakfast. "Good Morning, Mum." she said. "Good Morning, Alyssa" she said. "Alyssa, breakfast is almost ready." her mother said. "OK, mum" she said as she walked to the dining room. "And, oh, Alyssa" her mother called. "You have mail from school on the table" she said. "OK, mum" she said as she walked toward the dining room table, to find a letter sealed with a lion on it. She grabbed the letter, sat down, as Viscus jumped on her lap, and opened it. It read:
Dear, Ms. Morgan,
You are pleased to welcome you back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We hope you are having a wonderful summer. Bu school is starting on September ST. The supplies you need are listed below:
Basic potion ingredients, three sets of standard school uniforms, including cloaks, one winter cloak with silver fasteners. You may bring if they desire, a cat OR a toad OR an Owl OR a rat OR a bat.
We hope to see you at Hogwarts!
Alyssa smiled and ran to her mother. "Mum, school is starting soon. We should leave for Diagon Ally today, and stay there for a week, so I can just leave from there." she said. Her mother turned to her. "May I see the letter please?" Alyssa showed her the letter. "Yes, your right. But your old enough to go by yourself" she said. Alyssa looked at her. "Are you sure?" she said. "Yea,you are old enough, so go pack your things, so you can go." her mother smiled at her. "Thank you mum!" she said and hugged her, as she went upstairs to pack, Viscus close behind. Her mother smiled at her, and turned around, to finish cooking breakfast.

OOC: WOW....the longest I have EVER written....and im not even done.....

 

The sun softly arose over the Alexander mansion, a young girl laid in a large silk covered bed, sleeping soundly. Slowly, she opened her eyes and sat up in her bed, looking around. Her long beautiful dark brown hair fell down along her back when she got a bun of her hair, and her dark chocolate brown eyes stared at her reflection in sadness. Picking up a small striped kitten, she said, smiling, "Shadow, you're my only companion in this mansion. You also know I'm the only heir to my family's wealth, which is a pain." A maid came into her room, bowing, "Miss Eiko, breakfast is ready." Eiko nodded, and walked to the dining room, at her seat she found a letter with a lion seal. She opened it and reading the letter within.

Dear Ms. Alexander,
We are pleased to welcome you back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We hope you are having a wonderful summer. School is starting on September 1st. The supplies you need are listed below:

Sighing, Eiko said, "Lilian, school is starting soon. We must go to Diagon Ally and get my supplies soon." "Yes, Miss Eiko, very soon."

Eiko sighed again, she whispered to herself, "I wish I could be a normal magic person."

 

"Jordan wake up!" said his Aunt Christie. "Just five more minutes........" Jordan said as the put his pillow over his head. His Aunt flicked her wand and his sheets came off him."Come on Jordan breakfast is ready" His Aunt went down the stairs. Jordan got out of bed, got dressed put his necklace on than went down stairs. His Uncle Willie was at the end of the table reading the Newspaper. Aunt Christie was putting the Country Ham onto the table. His lil cousin Taylor (10) was putting the plates onto the table and his other cousin Riley(6) was dancing in the middle of the floor. "Riley stop dancing! You could make someone fall!" his Aunt yelled. "But Mom I got to practice!" she cried back. "No buts young lady do as your told!" said Uncle Willie. Riley than went into her chair and started to hum to herself. Jordan sat himself beside Uncle Willie and started eating. "Oh Jordan your Hogworts letter came!" Taylor said as she placed it infront of him. He wiped his hands than open it.

A folded parchement came falling out of the letter onto the ground. Jordan picked it up and read the contents:

Self-transformation! Cool! he thought to himself

"Uncle Willie you said Dad could turn into a dragon right?" he asked his Uncle. His Uncle put down the paper." Yes he could but it took him years to but your wand is made for transformations.So it will be easier for you." he said as he loaded his plate with food. Jordan looked at the picture of his parents dancing at a ball they went to. "Jordan finish eating and we will start shopping!" Aunt Christie said.

 

"Get up NOW!!!," screamed a very shrill voice from somewhere downstairs.

Blue eyes opened and stared up at the ceiling. Those icy eyes belonged to a particularly annoyed thirteen year old named Gwyn. As she lay in bed she wondered why her mother got pleasure in doing that. As she contemplated this another angry yell sounded from downstairs. The voice was becoming angrier and less coherent by the minute so reluctantly she threw back the covers and swung her legs over the side of her bed.

"I'm coming, mum. Don't lose your voice over it," she shouted back clear and firm in her usually soft voice.

Gwyn then proceeded to throw on a plain white tee shirt and some faded blue jeans. She opted to leave her shoes off, preferring to walk barefoot on the cool wood. Light was streaming through her window and she couldn't help going over to to look outside. Her eyes met the sight of the pasture that held her chocolate brown Welsh pony in the day time. She shook her head, to clear it and ran down the stairs, taking them two at a time, her black hair swept out of her face by the wind. She flew my her mother. mumbling a good morning as she threw open the door and continued her run. The wind was even stronger out here but that was Scotland and she loved every bit of it. Gwyn took a firm grip on the oak doors and flung them open. She inhaled the scent of hay and grain, smiling. The sound of the door made her pony lean its head out of its stall, nickering.

"Good morning, Sunchaser. Ready for a good run?"

Sunchaser bobbed his head up and down so vigorously that Gwyn laughed. She unbolted his stall door and led him out into the pasture. A small shadow from over her head made her look up. An owl was flying towards the house carrying a letter firmly in its beak. Gwyn's eyes flared and she took off, bare feet barely hitting the ground as she flew back to the house behind the owl. She burst through the door, at which point her mother handed her the letter, with a lion seal. She quickly tore it open and began to read it.

Dear Ms. Harper,
We are pleased to welcome you back to another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We have enclosed a list of the supplies that will be required. We hope to see you back at school on September 1st.

Gwyn grinned and ran back upstairs. She knew that they would be going to Diagon Alley to purchase her supplies and such. She wanted to be packed and ready whenever her mother chose to go. Quickly she threw together her clothes that she would wear to Hogwarts when she wasn't required to wear her robes and she packed all of her supplies from last year into her trunk. After doing all of that her stomach rumbled, signaling breakfast. The kitchen smelled of bacon and biscuits, which made her even hungrier. Grabbing a plate, she sat down to eat.

 

Eiko calmly stepped out of the fireplace in the Leaky Cauldron, ignoring the people who laughed and talked about her, because she was wealthy. Eiko sighed and walked to the entrance of Diagon Ally, with her female bodyguard, Namina, behind her.

 

"--And the parchment?"

"Yes"

"And your wand?"

"Yes mom..''

"And an extra pair of underwe--''

"Mom!"Hayden cried,sitting at the dining table trying to eat his breakfast.He was eyeing her with an embarrassed look."I've gotten everything ready,I checked three times this morning!Honestly,have a bit of faith in me.."That being said,and putting up with a smirk from his mother after hearing how grown up he was getting,he focused his attention back to his Pancakes,Bacon,Toast,and Hogwarts letter.

Dear Mr. Morrison.

Another year at Hogwarts approaches,and I hope to see you win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor once more.Though you should know what to get,here you are anyway: One pair of dragon skin gloves
or similar, basic potion ingredients, three sets of
standard school uniforms, including cloaks, one winter cloak with silver fasteners. You may
bring if you desire, a cat OR a toad OR an Owl OR a rat OR a bat,but I'm sure I'll be seeing Wedge again soon.You'll find a gift in your Hogwarts room when you get here.I hope to see you soon!

"She personalized the letter just for me..didn't know I was so special''Hayden muttered,taking a sip of water from his Goblet.He began pondering what the gift could possibly be while his mother looked the letter over.

"..Now don't expect to get away with every little thing in Hogwarts just because your one of McGonagall's favorites..understand?"His mother Lenna asked.She was a beautiful woman in her mid thirties,with long dark hair that seemed to be made of silk,and a dark skin tone that made her look like a walking Chocolate Bar.

"I know mom..''Hayden said impatiently,finishing up his breakfast and tossing his dishes into the sink."Supplies should be easier to get this year,considering that in the past you've lost your way in Diagon Alley..''the young man smirked at his mother as he retrieved his Nimbus 2001 from a glass compartment,just above a table with priceless vases and non-lethal potions.

"Hayden,I only got lost because...well it was a big place,wasn't it?"Lenna said,hands on her hips as she tried thinking of an excuse so her son would take it easy on her.

"Whatever you say mom..oh,and before you ask,no one cares about how I say 'mum' anymore,and I washed my body,and I made my bed,and I gave you a hug''And before Lenna could do anything else,Hayden gave his mother a hug and grinned."Love you mom..''

Lenna rubbed his head and smiled."I love you too son..but this little trick of yours is wearing off..you were always mischievous when you were younger,and when you did something like this,you either did something wrong,or you wanted something you couldn't have..now,your dad should be home soon..maybe you and him can hop on those broomsticks of yours and play for a half an hour or so..then we go..''

"Thanks!"Hayden said,releasing his mother and running outside.He placed the broomstick between his legs and kicked off from the ground,flying high in the sky.Luckily his family lived out in the country,surrounded by other Wizards and Witches.No one minded Hayden's flying at all.

 

Eiko smiled, looking at the everyone around her and her bodyguard. She always wished for avenge regular magical life, but that would be for the rest of her life, just a wish.

 

Evan woke up in Wales on a beautiful day, (for him anyway) at 9:00 AM. It was dark and cloudy outside, pouring hard. "Well, this is a nice morning." Evan said to himself. He reached on his dresser, putting on his glasses. After he got dressed, he went downstairs to have breakfast. "Morning, Mum." he said. "Well, Good morning Evan! Would you mind going out to get the post?" She said in a thick British accent.

"Not at all, Mum. Just make sure you have toast ready for when I come back" Evan smiled, and his mum nodded. He went out and walked to the end of the street, where his and his neighbors mailboxes were located. He reached into his, 3944 Elm Avenue, and got the normal letters, lookign through them. "Hmm, the usual. Ooh, look! A National Geogrpahic!" He said. As he was about to walk back inside, still rifling throuhg the mail, he nocticed an old fashinoed style letter. "Hmm... It's addressed to me!"

He walked inside, handing the mail to his mum, carefully keeping the letter concealed in his jacket. "Um, mum, I have to use the restroom, be right back, okay?"

He walked upstairs, waiting until his mum stopped watching him to turn from the bathroom into his room. He grabbed his pocketknife and slipped the envelope open, carefully pulling out the parchment within. It read:

Dear Mr Napper, we are pleased to welcome you to Hogwarts Shcool of Wicthcraft and Wizardry. Please report to diagon Alley and get the following items, you will need them for you magical teachings:

After reading the letter, Evan's heart almost skipped a beat. Having a life filled with magic was his life's dream! He'd always wanted to learn real magic, not just flashy magician stuff. Now was his chance! Evan had a small advantage, reading and studying up on some magic spells he tried to do and barely succeeded. He'd always thought there was something special about his life, and this was it.

"Evan, are you out of the bathroom, yet?" his mum called. He walked downstairs, and addressed his mum. "Mum, let's go to London."

OOC: Sorry I'm late, I just found this, don't get too far ahead without me. Don't sort without me, and don't let the train leave without me.

"--Dad,why does this place always smell weird?"Hayden asked his dad silently,passing a man stirring his tea with his wand...his actual wand.How Bizzare.He headed out of a door near the back and stood facing a brick wall,next to his dad.Lenna had chosen not to come,figuring that Hayden's father could help him from now on.

Hayden's father Todd had begun tapping a few individual bricks while looking at his son,showing off."..If you think an old pub smells bad,you may want to stay away from..what were they called again?..bah,nevermind..but you'll get used to it,I have''He watched as the bricks moved apart and showed him to Diagon Alley.

Hayden's eyes met countless Witches and Wizards,both Young and Old moving along the large alley,lined with stands and shops of all sorts."..You picked up the Galleons from Gringotts earlier,right?''he asked his dad,proceeding into the Alley and making his way through the crowd.

"Yes,to save time..school's starting soon,and I wanted to get here earlier than the rest,figuring that everyone would head to Gringotts before anything..I didn't want to wait in line..I hate lines''Todd muttered,heading into Flourish and Blotts to browse at books of all sorts,but especially to find "Standard Book of Spells,Grade 5'' for the new year at Hogwarts.Hayden took the bag of Galleons his father had handed to him and said he'd wait outside while his son purchased the books.

Hayden began looking at the shelves of books,searching for the book he needed.

 

Eiko picked her copy of 'Standard Book of Spell, Grade 4' and her other required books, paid for them and left the shop.

 

After finally retrieving the Standard Book of Spells,Grade 5 book,Hayden left the shop."..Got it..''he told his father,heading west.He desperately wanted to head to 'Quality Quidditch Supplies'.but Todd probably wouldn't let him.However,his ears picked up a certain few words that his father spoke..ones that he never thought he would here."..Pardon?"

"Do you want to check out some Quidditch Supplies?..''Todd asked his son,sensing the tension from earlier.Quidditch was his sons passion,and he didn't want to deny him the chance to check out more gear and brooms."..I'll handle the rest of the shopping,keep that money bag,and we can meet in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor..deal?"he asked his son,taking the bag with the book in it from him.

"..You bet!"Hayden said,hugging his dad before running through the crowd and soon arriving at the QQS shop.He entered inside and tried eyeing everything at once.New Quaffles,a Snitch,and the Firebolt broom he so desperately wanted!
