Gwyn sighed and stood up she pulled her suitcase out from under the bed and began singing, softly, an old lullaby she remembered.

"On the wind
'Cross the sea
Hear this song and remember
Soon you'll be
Home with me
Once upon a December."

Once she finished packing everything, including her book, she curled up in the chair again and fell asleep.

 

Aoife loved The Leaky Cauldron. Part of her actually wished she was staying here until term started. She walked into the courtyard and opened the wall to Diagon Alley. She headed to Flourish and Blotts first to get her books, stopping to look at the owls in the Eyelop's Owl Emporium window.

 

Gwyn woke to the sound of a train. She panicked, thinking that she had missed the train but realized that it was just a normal train. She blinked a few times and stood up, stretching on her toes.

 

Aughust 2nd, 2008. Moon 5/8, waxing. 7:00AM

After Aoife got her school books, she went to the Apothecary. Holding her breathe the whole time in the shop, she got her potion ingredients and got out of there as quickly as she could. She went into Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions and got her school robes and Quidditch robes newly fitted. After she double checked that she got everything on her list, she walked into Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. She got a box of sugar quills, which she loved.
Aoife made her way home and began to pack her Hogwarts trunk.

*le gasp* So soon! You'd better not mean today!

BIC: Norah woke up the next morning when Luna landed on her. She shooed her off and was about to go back to sleep, but then she remembered what day it was. The sun was coming in through the window, but she wasn't sure what time it was. She got dressed in a hurry, while rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

 

Evan woke up the next day. "Oh, yeah... I have to catch the train to Hogwarts." He walked outside of the Leaky Cauldron, waiting for everyone else so he could go with them.

 

Norah left her room with her trunk and went down the stairs letting the trunk thump on each step, being too lazy to pick it up. She didn't bother to have breakfast for fear of being late. She walked out of The Leaky Cauldron and saw a boy who seemed to be a first year. She walked up to him, trying to put on a polite smile to hide her sleepiness. "Hi. You going to platform nine-and-three-quarters?" she asked him.

 

((OOC; How do we introduce our teacher characters?))

BIC: Gwyn clunked down the stairs with Pika nestled on top of her case. She wondered if he was ok or if this was just normal. The cat followed them so she decided that it must be Pika's because it certainly wasn't hers. Checking out she walked outside and hailed a cab, throwing a cape over Pika and the cat she took them with her as they road to Kings Cross Train station.

About thirty minutes later she paid the cabbie and slammed the door, turning to face the train station. Walking quickly and smoothly she slipped in and out until she came to the entrance of platform 9 and 3/4. Taking a deep breath she walked as quickly as she could through the barrier. Appearing on the other side, people waited to take her bag and she took Pika and the cat onto the train with her, found an empty compartment and sat down next to the window facing the rear of the train.

 

"I sure am. And you?"

 

Pika_power was sleeping nicely, his cat prancing along behind them, when he felt a sudden jolt, waking him up. Peaking out from under a coat, he saw a wall rushing towards him.

"Dear god, what are you doing?! Help!" His cries attracted a glance from a muggle or two, but it was too late. They melted through the wall, and got on the train, choosing a compartment.

shrugging off the cloth, he grinned as he fondled his cat's ears. "Sorry about that, I tend to scream when I am about to hit a wall. Anyway, I see we got here okay. Thanks for getting me here and looking after Persian here."

 

Gwyn giggled softly as she remembered Pika's reaction when she entered platform 9 and 3/4. She brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Gwyn always felt most comfortable in that pose, using it often.

"No problem. Persian cooperated quite nicely. I was surprised that it stayed under the cloth so long."

Gwyn sighed and rested her head on her knees, looking out towards the red bricks outside the window. She wondered what school was going to be like this year. Would she make any friends? Would she be teased and bullied all year like last year? She didn't know and her stomach did flips just thinking about it. Her outward appearance signaled no immediate warning that something was wrong. She just stared out the window, lost in thought.

 

After a night at the Leaky Cauldron, Zeke went to the train station and went through the barrier to Platform 9 and 3/4.

He saw the amazing Hogwarts train and went inside. He sat down at an empty compartment and looked out the window.

 

Eiko ran to the Hogwarts Express and got in, she looked into a compartment. There was a girl inside with a some creature. She wondered if she wanted to be friends or be alone. "Umm, excuse me. Is this compartment for someone else?"

 

Gwyn snapped back to reality as another girl came into the compartment. Gwyn smiled politely and shook her head.

"Nope. Not reserved. You can sit in here if you want to," she said gesturing to the lack of people besides Pika," Its not like we are crowded."

 

Eiko smiled and sat down, looking at Pika. "Um, excuse me for intruding, but what is that cute little creature with you? Oh, yes, I'm Eiko Alexander, people consider me a snob because I'm rich and the heir to my family's wealth. I'm not like that, people just assume what I'm like." She looked away.

 

"Yep," Norah answered. "My name's Norah. C'mon, we'd better hurry or we'll be late." She showed him the way to King's Cross Station. She walked up to the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. "Has anyone told you how to get onto the platform?" she asked him.

(Ooc: StH, Sorry, I'm rushing, I know.)

"C'mon, dad!" Aoife called over her shoulder. "I'm going to be late!" She was jogging through King's Cross with her cat, Sprite, trotting along beside her. Her dad was a ways back, power-walking. She didn't slow down as she went through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. She sighed in relief and picked up sprite and waited for her dad to pass through the barrier to hug him goodbye.
Aoife got on the train and searched for a compartment. She found one that wasn't full, there were two girls and a fuzzy.... thing.... sitting in it. She opened the compartment door. "Hi," she said with a smile. "Can I sit here?"

 

Gwyn nodded and gestured to the empty seats. She cracked a shy smile. Curse her shyness for getting the better of her. She wasn't prepared for this many people to talk to her and she didn't quite know what to do or say. Gwyn remained in her comfy position, knees to her chest and arms wrapped around them. The train hadn't left yet and she wondered, idly, when it would.

 

"I'm sorry if I have made you remember something painful. It's just I'm not to being around people. Still, that cute little creature with you, what's it name? Is it your pet?"

 

"Thanks," Aoife said, and noticed Gwyn's shyness. "You have nothing to worry about until OWLs," she joked and winked at her. She gave an odd glance over at the furry thing, trying to figure out what it was.

 

She laughed softly and nodded at her. When she heard both of their questions she laughed again.

"No, This is Pika Power. He is a first year student here. He told me he was something called a...Pokemon. This is his cat, Persian."
