How did you find out about Kingdom hearts?

A fifteen year old (now he was like 12 when he first told me) friend of mine told me about it. I was so not going to play it when he told me about Donald and Goofy being sidekicks... then he said Cloud and Sephiroth were in it... and I had to play it.

 

There were rumors about FF chars in the game and I researched about it. Then I discovered Kingdom Hearts (THE GAME, not the heart-shaped moon) I was a FF fan back then

 

from Magazine, i see when Disney character is there, then i buy it :D

 

EGM Magazine had a review on it.

 

I remember seeing an ad for Kh1 sometime before it came out and i didn't even have a ps2 then but i thought the game looked really cool so like 2 years after that when i finally bought a ps2 i went right into the game store and picked it up. It was my first ps2 game and i loved it. Then when kh2 came out i was like 3 hours early to the game store, they guy hadn't even delivered it yet. The guy at the store was cool, though, he let me in and gave me doughnuts.

 

I saw some random fanart of KH and some videos a long time ago, before I even really knew about it. Then, before the Christmas before last, I saw KHII in a Game shop, and wanted it because it had Stitch on the back (I really really liked Stitch at the time). I wasn't dissapointed when I fount out he was only a summon though..because by that time I was totally obsessed with Kingdom Hearts itself, haha.

Rather a strange story, but it's true. XD;

 

Friend of mine wouldn't shut up about the Cloud vs Sephiroth thing, and went on and on about Sora and stuff.

I was like, "Chyeah, whatever, like a game about some kid with a giant key, running around the universe with Goofy and Donald could ever be that good." Back then, I was all Devil May Cry fan-brat. Then he said the game was as good as, if not better than Devil May Cry. I doubted that, and let him know it, but then he smacked me with the "You won't know it if you don't play it~!" thing. So he loan me his copy of Kingdom Hearts 1, pat me on the back, and left me there, grumbling at a shiny PS2 game box. [o_O It was like, holographic and stuff, I was like, wtf?!]

So, I went, played it, and 2 and a half games later, here I am, milking Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Mix to death, while waiting eagerly on edge for Birth By Sleep and Days.

<_< I mean, wtf, I hacked the game past its limits. Only one other game had that honor, and that was MegaMan Zero 3.

Oh well, I guess I'm glad for good friends. XD

 

Well, a friend showed it to my and i kinda wanted to buy that.

 

At first I saw an ad for kh1 on tv and thought nothing of it. but then i got it for my birthday and got addicted to it.

I remember watching my best friend/next door neighbor playing it at his house. He was stuck on destiny islands, and i remember finding the last mushroom inside the secret place. we got freaked out when "Ansem" came out to Sora and started speaking like in that creepy voice. (we were 7... and scared very easily) Well... the fandom rubbed off on me... and then i got the game for christmas!

 

I saw a commercial (KH1), then i said, "HA! Disney characters?"

I saw my friend playing it, and he was a very popular kid, so i was like... I BEAT THAT GAME!

then i got it and beat the game a week before he did (i played non stop)

 

A friend of mine bought it (KH1) the day it came out, and rushed over to my house spazzing out. I was like, "WTF!? Donald, Goofy, Cloud, Squall, and some weird lookin' kid named Sora? No thanx." I was hooked ten minutes later. . .

 

i learnt about KH from a friend :)

 

got kh1 like the day it came out.. got all confused about it and never even got passed alice in wonderland... gave up... then kh2 came out i said "wtf why not" played it and beat it.... i STILL haven't played kh1 passed alice in wonderland XD

 

same here beaten kingdom hearts 2 but i have never beaten kingdom hearts 1

 

I've beaten both... without having KHI as my own.

 

i borrowed a game to my old friend and i borrowed a game from him and that game was kingdomhearts.
thats how.

 

My sister showed me the game back in 2002...

 

Gym Class! Somekids where talking about it.

 

I saw a commercial of it and rented first, then got the game.
