How long do you think Kingdom Hearts will Go?

I think they will make a KHIII, then end the Sora serie.

Then I think they will create a new story with new characters, under the same name as KH but then something along the lines of:
Kingdom Hearts: The legacy of/The adventures of or something that sounds like that.
They will keep KH alive, without a doubt, since they can get alot of money out of it, when it's done right.

 

Lets hope that doesnt happen. I think they will end it with 3 and the series will be over because I dont think they need that many more games to wrap up the story.

 

Besides Final Fantasy, the Kingdom Hearts series is one of the other large cash cows of Square-Enix. I would consider them churning out sequels or spin-offs of some sort as long as Kingdom Hearts remains a profitable franchise.

 

As much as I love Kingdom Hearts, I dont want it to get like the Final Fantasy series. I do think however thats how it's going to be.

 

Kingdom Hearts will not become like Final Fantasy. Nomura said that Final Fantasy is a series that is meant to go on forever, while Kingdom Hearts will have an end.

Sora will also have a role in the end of the KH series, he says. So, after the mystery KH, the series will most likely end with Kingdom Hearts III. A lot of series end with "III".

 

well there has been 8 games made including final mix and final mix 2 and mabye kingdom hearts 3 so i think disney will eventually get cheap and say that square can't use their charecters anymore so they will have to scrap kingdom hearts because of copyright reasons

 

There needs to be a KHIII, because otherwise so much will be left unsaid. KHI set up a lot of plot points that don't really feel resolved in my mind; if KHII addressed them, it seems more like it was a distraction from the real answers. In fact most, if not all, of KHII seems like it was just beating around the bush, tying up a few tiny loose ends from the first game, and introducing more of the laws of the KH universe. It seems like it's trying to tell us that there's more, and that it's just there as a placeholder. Depending on how much is left undone by KHIII, there may be another, but it would probably be better for them to round it off at the trilogy mark, maybe make one or two spinoffs, but nothing major past that. If it goes on too long, it's bound to decay.

That, and if they keep shelling out for people like Christopher Lee, they're gonna run out of budget. (Speaking of which, BRING BILLY ZANE BACK ;_;)

 

It'll go on as long as it's profitable.


Then again, LEGO killed off one of their biggest cash cows.. But Square Enix probably has more common sense than them.

Well, I think it's gonna go on for as long as the FF series did. I mean it might be as popular as FF was back then. So we'll never know until it ends I guess lol.

 

I personally think that they should stop to kh3. No point going any further than that.

 

I want it to go long, but not long enough till it becomes old and drab.
When Nomura said something about KH3 being the end of the 'Xehanort saga' It sounds like KH will go long.

 

I think the games will go quite some time there are many stories they could do exspecially if they make more games with other people rather than Sora and the rest of them. Thats just what I think anyway...

 

Well recent news says that KH will go on even after Xehanort is gone and a new saga of the series will start so it might go on for a while.

 

One part of me thinks it will go on simply because it is so popular and brings in a lot of money, they'd be crazy not to continue. Another part says that they'll take quality over quantity for the fans and will end sometime soon. (Possibly one game after KHIII, or maybe stopping at KHIII.)

But hearing about the "Saga" I'm leaning a little more towards the "They'll keep going" side.

 

I didn't think it would go further than a last tile after KH2, but after the 3 new titles I believed there would be one last one coming and that's it. From the recent Nomura's interviews though it seems KH has still a long way to go.

 

i hope it does go that long, but if not then i hope that they make at least a good villain for the new saga. because when nomura said that kh3 was the end of the "xehanort saga" it basically implies that another set of games will revolve around a new antagonist/group of antagonists and i personally think that it may just revolve around

in some way. Although it really doesn't make sense considering that he only exists in BBS but you never know with Nomura. ^_^

They simply will keep going. It's making too much money right now for them not too plus Nomura's "hint" basically screams "THERE ARE GONNA BE A LOT MORE GAMES SO BRACE YOURSELVES SUPER FANS!" at least... i HOPE that was what it was implying.

 

nomura also stated that with BBS he was planning on creating a new set of games...so he may leave the BBS questions for BBS saga games...

 

I want the KH series to continue to AT LEAST KH3.
