You would hate to live here, sometimes we just have random black outs that can last for hours. Other times they don't even last seconds. And then you have to add in the weather.

    Okay, like what?

Um, it potentially puts my life in danger.

That's not a frivolous thing. That was a major thing that put people's lives in danger, so of course I hated him.[DOUBLEPOST=1365102623][/DOUBLEPOST]
And I did watch what I missed thanks to repeats. :)

Most shows I watch repeat their new episodes the following day. However, some don't. For example, Marvin Marvin and Wendell & Vinnie are still relatively new shows and really only show Saturday nights when there's a new episode.

Yut. I'm concerned you may be living in some sort of temporal distortion that causes you to exist in a time when TV was still relevant.
what year do you think this is?

    It's 2013, and TV is important. c:

How do you even put up with the ads?

Of course. However, new episodes are shown on TV first. You can't put things on YouTube if they've never been shown on TV. c:

And pretty much everything on TV sucks. And is full of ads. And is censored like crazy. And you can get the entire series from a torrent.
Are you kidding? It's loaded to the brim with original content. I watch youtube instead of TV

I just skipped over all these wonderful posts and pages, just to reply to you Amaury. You should feel super special.

I don't know if you noticed, but the "grid" isn't exactly 100% stable. If it was, we'd never have to worry about being without power. Given the probability of human error, both inside the company, and outside, it could have been anything from a wrong flick of a switch to someone crashing into an electrical poll. It could also be a transistor or anything really. The only way you'll know for sure that you won't run out of electricity is if you make your own perpetual energy generator. But then you'll disappear several days later, along with your invention.

I can't enjoy YouTube like I could back in the day. I'm not going to go into detail, it's too painful, you can probably guess the problems I have with it though.

Now torrents, those are something I can get in to.

Youtube is alright for music, or news, or random people being creepy and or funny, but not for shows. Netflix is better for watching movies/shows if you're willing to pay, but there's always a website out there to watch them for free. Hulu has a lot of good shows and whatnot. But yea, youtube sucks when it comes to the actual Television shows department.

Torrents are nice. Torrenters ideal, "I'm not gonna pay for it, so why can't I use/watch it?" lol

Once youtube got bigger, it sdefinitely got less enjoyable. Lots of rukes, restrictions, and greedy people ruining it for everyone.
But there's still a decent market for original content, at least, imo[DOUBLEPOST=1365105121][/DOUBLEPOST]

Basically this, yeah. I enjoy the people who upload the content that I enjoy, if we could do a mass exodus from YouTube that would be nice, would love to really stick it to Google.

YouTube is terrible for music. Vevo, anyone?

When it comes to torrents the ideal ideal behind it is that they should be used to better decide what companies and creators you want to support. These days I'm not going to go throw my money around on something that is a) bad or b) made by a company that doesn't deserve it, and torrents are a great way to do that. Of course that's not what they were made for, and that is often times not how they are used, but that's how I justify it.

If you're just looking for a single track, or a music video, then yes, Youtube is good for that.

Exactly. If people are able to try a product instead of buying it, they are more likely to go and buy it. Rather than buying something, then returning it because it's cruddy. It's also excellent for transfer of large files. It could be anything, from a video game (Katawa Shoujo for example) to a mass amount of documents. Torrenting is definitely a big hit in today's modern technological society. There's even people who don't know their way around a computer who can torrent.

You know how sometimes when you turn on a hair dryer for too long it causes a power surge for a few seconds? That can also happen on a neighborhood wide scale too. It could also have been a particularly strong gust of windthat knocked the lines out of place for a few moments before they fell back into place. There are also these evil little animals called squirrels that can do lots of things to screw up your precious TV watching experience.

Yeah, they were just in danger. It's a good thing that they all survived.

I have to agree with Key here Amaury. There's a wide variety of reasons as to what caused your cable/power to go out. And if you don't get mad about frivolous things, what's the big deal here? You said yourself it comes on not long after anyway. I don't see why missing the original airing is that important. This is the epitome of frivolousness.

And VEVO is terrible on Youtube, but not on vevo.com. I find it hard to believe that you can't grasp this.
