I don't believe so. I believe that this person that people want to change (in this example, color) has a right to have their posts the way they like it.

In all reality, the people who want this person to change his/her color are the selfish ones. They're too lazy to highlight a post and read what it says, so they want this person to conform to them. That is the true selfishness, no?​

Different rules apply to communication than to other mediums. When the purpose and goal is to express an idea to another person, I hold that the responsibility is on the speaker to make themselves understood. If you had said that a person's style of dress was up to them, I would agree. But in this case someone is trying to express a specific idea. They are responsible for getting it across to the best of their ability.

Not so at all. The point of posting is for others to read it. In the same way, you speak for others to listen. Whispering to them or speaking in pig Latin because it is what you want to do is rude and inefficient.

It is selfish to speak before others, for them, and expect them to conform to your specific code or style that you made up. Of course, you may speak with artistic license, but at what point does it stop being artistic license and start being self-absorption? Is a person who makes up their own words for things less selfish than those who ask them to use already existing ones for clarity?

That is the insult I meant, but Noroz as well. He posted in a derogatory manner to me and admitted that he did not intend for it to help.
