I have a question for the Americans in here

Is it common for you guys to wear shoes inside houses? As in your own, the ones where your friends live, etc.

 

I guess you're right, and it's a given that the pigs from America wear their shoes inside.

 

It depends from person to person.

 

I hate wearing shoes anyway and get them off as soon as possible once inside.

 

Not if you're Asian. Asians always take off their shoes. Unless a friend says it's okay.

 

I HATE IT. I swear if you guys wear shoes in my house.. I will cut you all. lol

Also question about Americans... why are you guys sooo mean?

 

We take off our shoes in our house. We just do what everyone else is doing at their house.

Rarely ever wear shoes inside my own house(unless it's really freakin cold), and will take my shoes off at most of my friends houses. Wear sandals even less cause their easier to take off.

To me, it really depends on which shoes I'm wearing. The ones I'm wearing now are really comfortable and it usually doesn't even occur to me that I'm wearing shoes.
The one thing I never do, though, is just wear socks. It's either shoes or barefoot.

 

Uh no. Socks are freaking amazing. I wear socks all the time man. ALL THE TIME. Cept after when I shower. And sometimes if I'm too lazy to put on socks and shoes to go outside for 3 seconds. And that's only if the floor is carpeted.

Personally, i'll either wear my cozy slippers inside or just walk around barefoot.

 

I don't wear my shoes inside and always take them off. The only time I wear shoes inside is when I'm about to go out.

 

That's not something you can ask a whole country, doof. Honestly I think it's disrespectful to take your shoes off without being invited, it's making yourself cozy in a stranger's house. In my own home, though, I always do.

I see it the different way around, you are basically dragging everything you've stepped in into someone's house. I do wonder though, do you think it's disrespectful to take off your jacket as well?

Yes, actually. I consider it rude to remove anything without being invited to make oneself comfortable. Under certain circumstances, of course, it would be silly not to. If I'm gonna track mud in someone's house, I'll usually wait outside until given permission or instructions to the effect of "Don't track that shit in my house take off dem grimy sumbitches."
