A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis:
The Wife said she was sleeping.
The Cook was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener was picking vegetables.
The Maid was getting the mail.
The Butler was cleaning the closet.

The police instantly arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did they know? ​

 

It was the Maid. She said she was getting the mail. There is no mail on Sunday! Im Good ^-^

You are standing in front of a room with one lightbulb inside of it. You cannot see if it is on or off. Outside the room there are 3 switches in the off positions. You may turn the switches any way you want to. You stop turning the switches, enter the room and know which switch controls the lightbulb. How?

This one also requires deep thinking. Don't overheat your brains!

On a submarine? I don't know, I'd rather have sea men all over my poopdeck.​

I dunno, but here is one riddle


Imagine that you are in a room what has no roofs, but the walls are very tall. In the same room there is an angry lion who is trying to kill you and there is one tree, but if you touch it it will fall down. How do you get the lion away/dead/unconscious and then get your self out of there...

Well... I've got the theory that it's something to do with heating up the globe, but I'm stuck on how to tell which one's which ._.

 

ok ok.... here goes nothing...
turn switch 1 to on and leave it like that for a few minutes. After that you turn switch 1 back to off, and turn switch 2 to on. Now enter the room. If the light bulb is lit, then you know that switch 2 is connected to it.
If the bulb is not lit, then it has to be switch 1 or 3. Now touching for the light bulb, will give you the answer if the bulb is still hot, then switch 1 was the correct one if the bulb is cold, then it has to be switch 3.

That's pretty much the jist of it; I solved it like this:

You turn 2 switches "on" and leave 1 switch "off" and wait about a minute. Then enter the room, but just before you enter, turn one switch from "on" to "off". Once in the room, feel the lightbulb - if it is warm, but off, it has to be the last switch you turned off. If it is on, it has to be the switch left on. If it is cold and is off, it has to be the switch you left in the off position.
