I never said that all FPS's were GENERIC SHOOTAN, I actually adore some such as Team Fortress 2, the godly Portal, Left 4 dead, Fallout 3 and others.

And there are even some GENERIC SHOOTAN games that I accept as well.

 

I want more platformers. Where's my next-gen Jak/Daxter game Naughty Dog? ;_;

 

I know how this will sound really weird, but I haven't ever played Halo and this makes me not want to.
I mean, I bet it's a great game and all, but
I'm sure it's not a great wedding theme.

So you have a problem with Halo, the game that started all of these 'GENERIC SHOOTAN' games, but you accept some others...? Really, this is what you are telling me...?

Congrats, by not playing any of the Halo's you are denying yourself one of the best series's of last gen and still one of the best this gen.

 

Are you shitting me? L4D is GENERIC SHOOTAN with a buddy, TF2 is GENERIC SHOOTAN with classes, Portal is a puzzle game, and Fallout 3 is an RPG and shouldn't even be considered an FPS since you can play it in 3rd-person.

I've played all of the halo's, just because My best friend has it and MAKES me play them through out all these years.

Like which ones? Tell me. Because honestly, it sounds like you just hate Halo because it's Halo and if it were masked as something else entirely you'd love it. Especially if you like TF2.

And Portal is a FPP (First Person Platformer); never once in that game will you fire a bullet.

maybe on live. campaign for gears is a lot more fun. Dont get me wrong, I love halo, I just dont think its the best. Its up there though.

Well gears' live mode I find is about the same rating I'd give halo 3's campaign. which is why I'm only taking the campaign into account. I'm too lazy to talk about everything though, lol.

 

I was talking about campain. If you want multiplayer here's my list on that :D

Halo beats out Halo2 because H2 is like H3 but not as awesome and Halo1 has mods **** yea.

Those games are nothing alike. Only ******s compare a FPS with a TPS.

I now realise this entire thread was a troll attempt and I am a ****** for walking right into it.

 

FEAR is great but not a generic, if anything it raised the bar. Condemned.. I didn't like it but that's me. L4D is great. TF2 is also great. HL is one of the greatest series's ever. Bioshock was fun but not as fun as Halo good sir. And Deus Ex was Deus Ex, in a league of it's own. For it's time, no where near generic.

Because of my Halo 2 comment? I'm sorry but I take into account the time of the game's release as a factor. At the time, it was fantastic. The best multiplayer outthere besides SOCOM. It was really just fun. I'll admit, put up to today's standards and in retrospect it isn't as great. But for the time, it was good and more tactical than the other Halo's. If not including the times, then Halo 3 is king.
