I sliced and diced a little piggy's internal vital organs today

Not sure I'll ever be able to drink chocolate milk ever again, though.

I had to do that in 8th grade and was thoroughly disgusted, I made my partner do it all. When my teacher caught wind of this she made me crack the poor piggy's skull open. ;___;

 

I had to break the jaw open. To do that, we had to cut the corners of his mouth up to his cheeks. I called him Joker Piggy. ::L:

my partner said why so serious, and then carried it over to the two most squeemish girls in our class

 

This is the only thing about public school that I'm sad I have to miss out on.

i refused till a few months back...little piggy heart...it went horribly wrong...i had to hold the bits wher id cut wrong together i was almost sick XD

 

Been there, done that.
Cutting animals open is mighty fun. I happen to have very fond memories of that one time I got to butcher a shark in class.

 

We have to do a frog.
But Anatomy gets to cut up a Shark and other animals. ._.

 

We did a frog in eighth grade, but some vocational classes and biology or anatomy classes did pigs.

I remember going to the vocational school to work on a project...seeing a bunch of trays covered in aluminum foil...a horrible smell....letting my curiosity get ahold of me....and BAM dissected pigs.

 

We never got to dissect a pig in Biology. All we dissected was an earthworm, a shellfish, a cricket, and a frog.

 

I've actually never dissected a whole animal- I mean, we've done various organs and things, but only after they'd been removed.

I really enjoy dissection, it fascinates me. It really irritates me when the girls won't participate incase they get blood on their nails.

 

Agreed I'm the type of girl who actually wants to make a jump rope out of the pig's small intestines...not pycotic at all.

 

Just as a disclaimer, they were still-born or aborted piglets. Thus they died of natural causes. before being pickled in formaldehyde and shipped off to us.

 

I remembered when I had to dissect a deer fetus, It died because the mother was shot.

EDIT: I remember when we dissected a cat too, I kept the foot. :B

 

Would the anatomy be slightly different if its just a fetus???

Okay. Good but our frogs were dead (killed)and frozen. Thus they DIDN'T die of natural causes. They were killed for the private school system.
